Hi, my advice, you need to inform your HR or boss about this.
1. Your health and baby is important. If they know about this, they can avoid giving you carry heavy things or stress you up with workload.
2. They will also have the empathy with what you going through, like MS, tiredness etc. (otherwise they will see your performance drop as a reason you are lazy, bochiap kind etc..)
3. In any new company, to entitle for Maternity leave is when you already worked with the company more than 6months.
4. Each of your leave taken for check up etc, will consider unpaid.
5. They will also need to plan your task early to get your replacement during your maternity leave.
Like me, Even though I'm not new in the company, I told my boss when I yet to reach 3months of pregnancy.
I know it's the 'pantang' but atleast my boss will understand my health, MS, and avoid letting me carry heavy things.
My Boss also know that he not suppose to let anyone know before I finish the 'pantang'. But he started to plan my jobscope handover to different personnel, and inform the rest on my pregnancy and handover plan after I hit 5months.
Hope this helps...
Yes only when you are not new in the company. If you still under probation, that will be unpaid..Point 3 should be at least 3 continuous months before the birth of the child.
Point 4, for check up you can use MC don't have to take leave.
Applecindy, you can check all your maternity benefits here in MOM website :
