Hi Fel C,
It will not be my first baby, but I am hoping that it will be my first live pregnancy, meaning carrying baby to full term.
How long have you been trying for a baby?
If more than 1 year, and you are under 35, you may want to consult a fertility specialist. If it is confirmed that there is nothing wrong with both yourself and your husband, you may want to buy ovulation test kit, to know roughly when you ovulate, so as to time the fertility timing more accurately.
Hi May i know did you manage to conceive after using the kit? Do you have any tips?
Hi. I'm 30 and have married for about 1 year and 10 months. I just started to try 1 month. but i feel the timing of me and my hb trying is not right. so likely, next mth wont show any result.
I also doing my final year project. Been quite stress handling project and trying to conceive.
Yes i just bought Clear blue digital ovulation test kit from guardian, the one with smiley face, but i don understand why there is a one line on the stick after i using it. May i know what does it mean?
Also May i know where to buy the basal thermometer as i want to do basal charting?
Hi Fel C,
We have started trying actively late last year/early this year (both in our 30s) after graduating from school last year.
However after trying for so many months to no avail, we decided to visit a gynae at KKH in june.
We did all the tests (HSG, Semen Analysis, blooed test) with favourable results, so was being prescribed with
medicine to boost my ovulation for my next cycle (Sept).
Meanwhile, the doctor advised us to try during day 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 (calculated from the 1st day of my period).
Since you are 31 and have been trying for a year, my advise is for you to go to the doctor for tests.
Cheers.

Hi, I am trying to conceive too. When you go KK for the check mostly can claim medisave? I thinking to go for the checking...was looking at Thomson fertility clinic but don't think their package can deduct from medisave..am quite lost.Hi Fel C,

Hi Fel C, did you start taking folic acids? Usually parents who are trying for babies take folic acid (once a day), unless you are allergy to. You can google and read more about it. (;Anyone is trying to conceive for the 1st baby next year? May i know how does you begin with your preparation?
Don't stress yourself & your husband so much, @Wanbaby .. why not go for a vacation or take a break? Recall the days when you are dating .....Also to add, i've been using the ovulation kit and it didnt work for me. When it shows a smiley it means im ovulating rite, but when i go for ultrasound check, doc will say egg is not matured yet and will take another few days.
Initially both husband and i burnt out our energy by trying almost every day but we cldnt carry on like tat. Hence we try alternate days or once or twice during ovulation week. We woke up in the morning like 4am (cos some said sperms are more active in morning), afternoon and nite.
Sometimes is awful to hear things that we do not wish to hear, what is most important is husband and wife stand together ... (this is priceless)oh now we r not stressing, just going with the flow. We watch movies and cook together. Its only these visits to doc brings some bad vibes into my mind.
I wanted a year end or 2017 baby instead, but advised by many kind friends, relatives & colleagues around for 2016 baby instead. =_=i totaly agree with you Spaceger. How are you doing?
Yup yup, just continue with all the vitamins especially folic acid! Jiayou! have a great evening..tats comforting to know. All the best to us.
Hello ladies..
I have been "floating around" reading posts from different thread and only decided to create an account to join the big family.
I am 31 this year and am trying for baby #1.
Started to try actively since March this year but no news yet. We have been together for 8 years of which 3 years are marriage life. Kind of upset and disappointed that conceiving is not easy at all.
Have done numerous blood test and scans, doctor said I am a mild PCOs patient but my blood test results all came out pretty good. Husband has a not so good SA and I have been getting him to consume Zinc + Vit C.
We visited a new gynae recently in JB. He suggested me to do AMH to check on the ovarian reserve and to test whether I am insulin resisting; while for husband, redo his SA as it only valids for a period of 3 months. Seeing him again coming Saturday for a review. Kind of worry.
Anyway, may I check if anyone done laparoscopy before? Why do you need to undergo this surgery and what are the impacts if you don't?
Ttc journey is a tough path, I'm glad that I found a place with you all around to walk together..
Are u stressing over of making baby? Perhaps u should try to relax ?
If u have problem or thinking u should go for thoroughly scan; why not go to dr Charles lim from mount e orchard? He is very good at scanning and also able to tell you what is wrong. Both u and hubby can go see him together; he will do a detailed scan on you on the spot to find out why: many of them manage to conceive after that .Yeah, stressful, I believe this is quite common among all of us
Stress from family, from peers, from relatives..
I wish I could sit back and relax, but it is not as easy.

I have done all the scans as per different gynae's advice - pelvic and trans-vaginal.
I do not know what's the problem since all the test reports all came out fine.
Thanks for your kind suggestion
Dr Charles lim will prescribe a medicine to let you ovulate on time and from both side.
going towards the end of my 2ww. this better be good.
Hi im trying for a 2016 baby. Have been trying for a year now. Im 37 this year. Im seeing a gyne at NUH Dr Chew who is very good. Both husbvand and i did all the test. I have a blocked left tube and husband SA is not good either. Husband has been prescribed alot of vitamin to boost his swimmers while im taking folic acid, Vit D and also clomid for past 3 cycles.
Not easy both emotionaly and financially. Lots of money spent on check up, scans and blood test but its all worth it.
More importantly do it as a couple, dont let yrself handle it alone. Also dont expect immediate results, such check ups take times (months) also try naturally for all you know, you hit the goalpost without any medical intervention.
