Finding the right confinement nanny is not easy, and honestly, we feel very lucky. My husband and I did quite a bit of homework before deciding. In the end, we went with an agency recommended by my husband’s friend. The services were quite standard compared to other companies, but what made us choose them was the option to interview nannies before confirming. We had calls with two nannies, and finally decided on Nanny Hen Lee Lee.
I must say, she was an excellent choice and I highly recommend her to other parents.
Responsibility: 5/5, Nanny was always responsible, considerate, and safe while handling our newborn.
Reliability: 5/5, Nanny arrived as scheduled and was on call 24/7 to attend to the child and mummy. She did everything we asked, plus more.
Baby care skill: 5/5, Nanny was great with our newborn and clearly has lots of experience. She gave us very helpful training on hygiene, feeding, and taking care of our newborn. We learned a great deal!
Cooking skill: 5/5, she can cook every confinement dish imaginable, and is very skilled at Chinese style cooking. She even managed to learn some western dishes along the way.
Hygiene: 5/5. Nanny always took good care of personal hygiene and the baby's hygiene. She would always wash/sterilise baby items thoroughly before use, and made sure baby had routine bathtimes.
Culture knowledge: 5/5, she has great input on Chinese confinement styles and is willing to input as much or little to the culture as requested by the client.
Sensitivity: 5/5, while she would advise as needed, she never forced anything or made recommendations beyond our comfort zone.
Overall: 5/5, we had an excellent experience with Hen Lee Lee, and only wish we could keep her for longer. Highly recommend her service to other parents, and hope we can engage her again in the future!
