Is your little one is sitting on her own and holding their head up without being wobbly, grabbing for the food from the plate, YES they are in stage one (6months) it is the right time to start with solids and semi-solid foods. It is a messy and adorable milestone when your little one plunging into the world of solid foods. In general, it is recommended to start solid food is between 4-6 months along with breastmilk.
To be honest, it will be confusing for the baby initially. As their taste buds are growing solid food exposes babies to new taste and textures and make them healthy eaters. Growing babies need all the essential nutrients. Solid food is called complementary foods as it is to complement the breastmilk.
What to start with?
Soft cooked thinly pureed fruits and vegetables are the baby's first solid food experience. Homemade food is recommended for the sound health of the baby. Try to feed the baby with single ingredients and at a space of 3 days by introducing each new food with different tastes.
STAGE 1 BABY FOOD

Stage I baby foods are typically those foods that are easily digestive by a tiny tummy. Single-ingredient foods that are soft-cooked, thinly pureed with zero chunks. Before feeding solid foods consult with a pediatrician. Homemade purees are the best semi-solid food for the babies. Fruits like apple, pears, plums, and bananas are the best for 6 months baby. Carrot, avocado, and sweet potatoes are best in vegetables.

The nutrition requirement of the babies is very much of fruits and vegetables. It is very important to feed the baby in the forms of purees and porridge of combinations like apple oats, spinach pear which will help in the growth and development of your baby. Always give organic baby food, that do not contain preservatives, salt, sugar, colors.
