Hi mummies,

Any recent shichida feedback? The ones I read are pretty outdated.. wanna read more on their pros and cons before plunging in..

Can also share what would be the cost incurred? Like, any hidden cost in material and so on?

Thanks mummies in advanced for any inputs.

My daughter has been attending Shichida classes for a yr and she is enjoying herself v much n looking forward. In a lesson of ard an hr, there r many activities. My daughter has shown great interest in assembling the puzzle, memory games, guessing games... As the child grows, the lesson will be prepared appropriately. When she was younger at ard 18 months, she will easily be distracted by other children if they start to move around in the class. Overall, I m v satisfied with the progress.

Hi cel,

thank you for your valuable inputs! May i know how old is your kid now and how old did you enroll in shichida? their fees are on the steep side and i hope i am doing the right step in enrolling mine.

by the way, can u share the cost of their materials? like their flash cards or other home teaching props?

Hi cloud poem, I enrolled my daughter when she was 18months. Actually, I have yet to purchase the flash cards this I m not sure of the price. I am looking for a second hand set.

My son is currently 24 mths now and he's been attending for coming to a yr soon. The first payments including the course fees, parent attending a seminar(introduction course which can be offset off after a yr with them) was around $1.2K+- every term was around $800+ including GST. It is not compulsory to buy any materials unless u wish to and they will have a pricelist for it.

Our detailed Shichida review & FAQs post is at http://www.mummyshomeschool.com/shichida-method-review-faq/
DS1 (4.5yo) attended for almost 3 years; DS2 (21 months) attended for 1 year. I've been homeschooling the kids, combining Shichida and Montessori Methods.

We recently stopped attending Shichida class because DS1 wants to focus on music lessons. (Still want some free time during weekend.) We continue to do regular home practice because the method is very effective for developing strong parent-child bonding, creating calmness, focus, and efficient learning.

DS1 has excellent pitch ability and memory, likely because of early right brain education, started since 14 months. These abilities help him to pick up music (and anything else that he's interested in) very easily.

My #1 has been in shichida for almost 2 yrs, he started the lessons when he is at 18 mths, we have also enrolled my #2 for Oct class.
Overall, i am happy with his progress, he likes & enjoys his lessons.
But u need to be very consistent to do regular home practise, cannot just depends on the weekly lessons.
I bought a lot of second hands flash cards & DIY some myself.
