I read a labour and birth article and saw that we will be given pre-delivery enema to clear our bowels when we are admitted to the hospital. Can I check will that be a complicated procedure with lots of tubes and needles involved? Thank you!

For c-sec, doc didn’t give enema after they asked if I went to toilet the day before but they given me gastric med after knowing I have gastric issue..
I rmb they only put the tube (for urine) after epidural..
Will need to put drip lo, then inject epidural at spine..
The enema was not complicated at all. No tubes or needles. Just takes a few seconds for a small enema which is inserted and within 5 mins, you will feel the urge to clear your bowels.
