Piano Teacher from forum - Terrible experience


Hi, I do know of an agent who recommended me my student. But I won't know if she has teachers who are good and near your area. Would you want to contact her? Maybe you can see if she has any teachers which she can recommend. Let me know if you are interested. The piano teachers I know who is good stays in tampines....
 
My gal's piano teacher staying at JW.
He can go to student house for lesson as well.

You may try to ask my gal's piano teacher, Ms Mavis. She's very patient and professional with music degree, specialised in piano performance. My daughter got distinction in both Gr 7 and 8 piano exam. Now she's studying performance diploma with her. U can contact her at 91681539

U can try christofori, they have quite a number of outlet located in the west.

Basic up to grade 1 is $90.95 per mth
Teacher will access if yr child is ready for exam for every grade. After grade 1 onwards, price will be different. Music books fees n exam fees not included.

Hi, I'm looking for a piano teacher for my 10 year old sister. I would need to know your experience and current grade. Also, how you're charging for a 10 years old without any piano grade, but had a year of piano lesson when she's 5 years old?
Prefered lesson timing would be Wednesday (2-4pm) or Friday (after 2pm).

Nowadays there are too many piano agencies around, just wanting to quickly match piano teachers and students to earn money. I came across a more trustworthy service - www.singaporepianohub.com which recruits their piano teachers more stringently. I think the founder probably have had similar irresponsible piano teachers problem before and so he only works with qualified and responsible teachers. I personally had gotten a piano teacher from them for my boy and the teacher is responsible and patient. So I would recommend this service if you want to look for good piano teachers...

My wife and I tried Singapore Piano Hub to find a teacher for our son. I had mentioned in another post that I tried another agency which does not even respond properly. But the person who talked to me at www.singaporepianohub.com is responsive and helpful. Till now, I'm still contacting him as and when I have questions. We started lessons in march and the teacher was excellent as well. I wish I could recommend the teacher directly but I believe that would conflict Singapore Piano Hub's interest. My impression is that all their teachers would be excellent, so go ahead and engage Singapore Piano Hub.

Hi there,

I know of a young female teacher, her name is Yi Ling and she gets along well with young children. Her hp no. is 97664957. She is experienced in performing at pop concerts.

Her rates go at $60/hour for beginners and Grade 1, then $5 more for each subsequent grade. My daughter learns from her and I think she is really good.

My child is with Mavis, but I find it a pain dealing with her. She is extremely inflexible about lesson cancellations and makeup lessons when we go on vacation. Very money focused. She even asked me to self register my child's abrsm exam. Is that a norm? Looking to change a teacher, pm me if you have recommendations.

Thanks for recommending. Singapore Piano Hub not only helped me find a great teacher, they provided excellent and friendly piano movers and piano tuner when I engaged these services from them as well. Essentially, they provided everything I need to find for my child's piano education... and all these done well! I will definitely be using the piano tuning service again.
