Hi eunice actually I think I delivered my boy at 3.40pm +/-10mins can't be sure. Let me go back to check his BC. But pretty sure it was 3pm+ as I was pushing after that.

Bunz I stay very near you, Blk 233. Hehe. Maybe we see each other before when going to work.

i'm transferring my son to NTUC CC @ blk101 coming next mth, wanted to opt for half day but they only hav full day...

i ever did think of NTUC at blk 101 but at tat point of time it was full...so end up at the childcare nearer to my block..and to me it was a blessing in disguise...
i dun have to worry abt heavy rain or reaching childcare late..and i dun have to wake my gal soo early..

Wow bunz you go work so early ah? I normally reach the playground around 8.15-8.20am then back there earliest about 7.05pm.

Anyone knows the rate for NTUC 1/2day childcare around sengkang area or is it the same at all NTUC childcares? What about after working mum subsidy?

Not all NTUC cc are not the same rate. working mum got $300 subsidy for full day care.And you can check for this web site www.mcys.gov.sg and click comcare, sengkeng area & childcare, all sengkeng cc are on the list & rate.

She is super nice and I gave birth on a Sun and she came in about 8am with no complaints. Hehe think they expected it lah. No leh, can't afford No2 unless strike $1m lor. You planning?

Hi Mummies,

Im Lin staying at Compassvale Bow, have a 1.5yr old girl...keeping my fingers crossed for a second one...previously delivered at SGH under a gynae.

Would like mommies opinion/experience: under a gynae's care compared to normal subsidised patient is there much difference (in treatment, appointments and in the labour ward), in SGH if possible.

to my knowledge,if you are a subside patients in any of the government,every time you go for appointment,it will be a diff doc..once a while will meet a doc tat you see before..and at de point of delivery,it's depends on which gynae is on duty &amp; tat duty doc will deliver for you...(my sis 1st child was subside under KKH &amp; 2nd gal was subside under SGH)

As for under those private gynae care,we are in that doc only,from the start till delivery till after popped check up also by same doc...Hense maybe the service standard is diff from there...

Nowadays alot of private gynae with packages which end up may be cheaper than government side,just tat you need to fork up the lump sum &amp; not on every appointment payment etc...but not forgetting,the package money can be claim from the maternity package..

More tired for the 2nd pregnancy but i wanted my kids age gap to be near,so they can grow up together &amp; i dun wan later my elder gal independant liao than comes another bb,think more tiring for me to go more to diapers &amp; night feeding...hehe..

There's good &amp; bad..but most important is see mummy age,goood to have bb early...

I heard from Channel News Asia just a few months back that this gynae was saying that the ideal age gap will be about 3years (including conceiving). Sorry I can't remember the reason he gave. But some feels that chop chop give birth liao then can close shop and slim down at one shot. Haha my colleagues always tell me that. Yes my boy can walk already and pretty fast. Seems like he will run soon. He is climbing up and down sofas, beds, anywhere that he can lay his hands on.

. Haiz boys lor. Don't worry if your boy still not walking well, as they will eventually when ready. I used to tempt my boy with food and make him walk towards me. Can hold your boy favourite food/ toys and make him walk towards you. Don't stress yourself ok. Also, my boy has not talked yet, don't know how to say 'papa' or 'mama'. Only ah ah, en en. Haiz....

Ya I agree wif u mummies the age gap better not be too far so dat dun need to go thru everything all over again. Actually my initial plan was like about 2 yrs gap...but already feel so tired chasing after my little monster, duno how to cope if really preggie at this time leh..

Wow Candy...dats fast for yr boy! I did try to hold his hands &amp; ask him to walk but he will just sit down. Sometimes when he is standing up holding on to something I will ask him walk over to me but he will sit down &amp; crawl to me instead...haha...
No lah...i'm not too stressed up over this. Just let nature take its course...

Rainbowpooh: Yes totally agree that chasing after my little monkey is very tiring. I pity my mum too as she is the main caregiver. I have a friend whose children are 3 years apart and the elder one actually helps out and dote on the younger one. Haha I think all depends on individual. Yes, let them take their time to learn and explore. I also a bit worry my boy not talking yet but just learn to relax lor, I can't force him.

When i had my boy,i didn't specially plan when to concieve,just let natural take it course lor...coz i dun wan to feel so stress by all the planning &amp; the time frame..hehe

My boy now 13mths also dun wan to walk...hold hands walk abit,but it those like kan cheong kind of walking,not stable...let go his hands he squat down &amp; crawl...
My elder gal was able to walk by herself,totally no support on her 1st birthday...
so i dun bother to force him also..let him take his own time..moreover the elders always say,walk later next time more good life..hehe

dun worry abt walking alone. my boy only want to walk by himself when he turn 18 mths. before that i'm so worry and check with doctor. my girl can walk by herself when 2 wks before she turning one. that's a big different between my two.
 
Eunice: Yah heard the saying too that bb who walks later will have better life. Don't need to come out work at young age. Hehe. Hmm...so don't know is it true that boy will pick up things slower than girls? I saw a bb girl 11month can say bye bye liao but my boy don't even know how to call 'mama' and 'papa'. Hmm... Same with my colleagues, her girl talk and walk earlier than her boy. I also didn't plan to conceive and was actually waiting for 1 more year but it came naturally so ok lor. But having next one definitely needs a firm no. You not tired looking afer 2 young children and working?

Haha...3.43pm..so roughly about same time as my boy mah..diff hospital the clock maybe set diff mah...

haha..ya lor..dunno how true..maybe just to make use mummies feel better...
My boy know how to ah ma,ma ma,papa,dada,bao bao(full),nian nian (milk),mom mom(food)...and other than tat sometimes can hear proper reply to a questions but depends on his mood...his bye bye also see his mood...happy he do not happy i have to wait long long..
He can even dun wan me when i fetch him from my mum's place every evening...super naughty boy also..bully his sis...

For me,ok lah...maybe i more heng,my kids bedtime is fixed at 8pm++ so after tat i can do my own things &amp; housework,they will sleep till morning...and for both,no night feedings since 1mth old,they never wake up to ask for milk so i also dun purposly wake them...
sometimes will feel super worn out etc..but when i see the kids face &amp; their hugs &amp; kisses &amp; when my elder gal tell me she love me etc..it make me feels everything is worth it...
Maybe more tired now,as in i sleep around 11pm than wake up 6pm...but hopefully when i grow old,my kids will pay me back..haha
Sometimes i will have to be very firm,no means no for all...but when i promise them something i will do for them...

But truthfully..i dun wan to depends on my kids when i grow old,now earning a living is already soo hard..next time their time worse...

my boy ar...about 6mths,go flat on tummy &amp; can move..now is on hands &amp; legs..and sometimes trying to be funny &amp; go backwards on tummy(as if helping me clean floor)..
Not to worry,my niece whom is not 15mths,dunno how to crawl &amp; haven walk..she move using her buttoks wan...and i have heard some kids straight from sit to walk..dun go thru the crawling stage..

RE: Anchorvale CC swimming pool

Went there once on a Sat afternoon (4pm?), think the fee is slightly more ex than the normal pools. Starting quite ok but think towards evening, the children's pool is quite crowded.

They have swimming lessons conducted there too, so if you wanna teach your kid to swim, it is not as conducive as "normal" pools.

They have slides but my kids don't dare to go up there. Should be fun for slightly older or daring kids.

Overall, I feel it is a fun pool but probably need to go when less crowded.
 
Huh, That's amazing! From sit to walk... My boy likes to stand up firmly on his feet eveytime till me and ah-ma everytime tell him we hand sore.. sometime he as if he knows and sit down for quite sometimes and started all over again.. Haiz... Not bad... got foc helper to help you to clean the floor... =P Do u use the foam mats to guide him to crawl?

Any mummies would like to share about your experiences too? Coz i am a first time mummy... Haiz... got alot of things to learn from all mummies..=)

nope...i only have those small small world bumper mat as a fixed play area for the kids..
but if you are saying the area or route he crawl than nope...coz they can go everywhere wan..anyway,i'm those mummy whereby i wan him to ownself fall &amp; feel the pain than will know wat can &amp; cannot be done...
there's a few times,he super kan cheong...wan to crawl super fast than slip &amp; his face fall flat on the floor,so he cry cry abit liao than i notice the next time he crawl he dare not go soo fast liao..but after a few mths all repeat again..
hehe..ya clean the floor liao i have to change him lor...how to sleep in dirty clothes..and the more i warn him not too he will die die do infront of me..

Haha..dun say till like tat lah..we all also learn via experiences mah...alot also via try &amp; error...lucky i got my mum to advise me also..hehe
