However, I noticed that the titles i got from hte local store is different from the titles in the website. Do you know which books the local set doesn't have? My boy is in K1 now and this is under Early Elementary series. Do you think its suitable. He completed the Can you Find me (PreK) book and likes it alot (http://www.thinktonight.com/Can_You_Find_Me_PreK_p/03801bbp.htm).

Not sure if i should get back Can You Find Me or let him try something different..

Lucida Hi, I have the building thinking skills for pre-k (the green one) my 3 year old girl loves it. It has a wide range of 'games' for her to do which exposes her in being able to identify sequences, shapes recognition and many many others, colors, comparison of size and length etc.... It has quite a wide content range which I love - primarily because this allows me to move on to other areas if she finds a particular skill too tough. And to come back to it at a later stage.

As I've not done the purple book, it's probably the same in terms of style but content will probably be suited for a K1 and K2 maybe P1 (since my girl is jus 1 year younger than yours and is managing with the Pre-K)

Lucida Hi, building Thinking Skills Primary utilizes interlocking cubes and attribute blocks. They can also be used in conjunction with Building Thinking Skills Beginning and the Mathematical Reasoning series.

The Manipulative block set is a set of three. I think if you are not getting Hands on thinking skills (Which uses all 3 blocks sets), I think it is ok to get the attribute blocks and interlocking cubes separately. But seriously the difference in price is about USD5+. So worth considering get all three sets, in case you want to use the other books that require them. If not it is sufficient to get just the 2 separately.

FYI, I have the Mathematical Reasoning book 1 which emphasizes on numbers 1 - 5. My girls loves the book too... v colorful, pictorial. Teaches number recognition and addition skills etc. My only grouse is that it covers only numbers 1 - 5. But i guess, the emphasis of the book is really on teaching problem solving and computation. And not just limiting it to teaching a set of numbers 1 - 10. So far my girl loves it... asking me to do it repeatedly.

As your boy is older, I would think you might want to try the other books in the series.
