How to Manoeuvre Double Breast Pump

For mummies who hv used a double pump, how do you manage to hold the bottles using both your hands AND be able to control/ press the pump buttons to change the speed & intensity level seamlessly? Plus have to occasionally massage the breasts during pumping.

I make such awkward actions trying to do all these that I m almost giving up on my double pump. But single pumping takes up soooooo much time...

hee i understand! usually i sit cross legged & put e bottles on my thighs (i may need to raise my thighs a bit) & support with my arms while i try to press e buttons & what-nots. yaa sometimes it gets all awkward but double pumping sure beats single pumping! sometimes i stop pumping one breast & massage if need be

Yup, I also put the bottles on my thighs when pumping. Will hold on to the funnels and let go as and when I need to do something else.

Double pump is definitely better than single pumping!

Hee so I'm not the only one... cos I feel so un-pro... then got times almost spilled my precious milk.

I am a right hander. I place the left pump over left boob, and "kiap" it with left forearm, using the fleshier part closer to the elbow side. Next, using my right hand, i place right pump over right boob and hold it in place with left hand. Forearm should be parallel to body, press arm towards body to hold in place. Right hand is now free to press the buttons or do further adjustments.

Its tricky, but being able to do this really frees up one hand do things while you're spending all that time pumping! I'm able to do my makeup / blow my hair / read book / play with iphone/ipad while pumping. Super time saver

wow hellomiki cool, u sound so pro!!! Sometimes my hubby enters the room when I m pumping and pass comments that I look so "lang-bei" and unfeminine

like hellomiki, I use my left arm to kiap the left boob and use left hand to hold on to the other pump . so i can free my right hand to surf net and play w i phone.

alternatively, get a handsfree bra or strap

Just slip in the both funnels into my bra and switch on the the pump.. Taadaa hands free. Will normally eat my lunch while lactating. Hehe
