Hi mummy! There isn't any need to worry as long as you be more careful in everything you do now before birth! :) Before birth, i also worry about this and that, and i think negative before i give birth. But after birth, is like you feel more joy and happy. Have a smooth delivery!

Congrats to your newborn :) !!!!! U having natural birth ?

Today my gynae told me that he will be on leave on my due date!! He recommended another gynae to me but of course i still prefer him.... :( hence now i was thinking whether to go for planned c-section so that I can get him to c-section for me.. but on the other hand, i was worry that it might be tougher for breastfeeding & recover will be slower & i can't take care of the baby.. sob sob

Thanks! Yes, natural birth.
Well, you might not give birth on your due date so no worries! (; but which hospital you go and the doctor is from hospital or outside clinic..

If you prefer c-section, then you can buy breast pump and pump out for your child when he/she want to drink.. C-section and natural birth got it's advantage and disadvantage. :)

Im at Thomson Meeical Ctr & my gynae is Dr Adrain and he's from TMC.
Yes, I've got ready the breast pump and some of the stuff.. waiting for the baby expo sales next week ;) for the rest of the items like baby warmer & steriliser.
I heard some say c section is much harder to breastfeed... hopefully i can succeed!! :O

By the way is it alright if baby not in full term when delivery? Cause my delivery date is about 38weeks+1day....

Yes, it is a planned c section. My 1st 2 born are born under c section and my 3rd and last will hv to go thru c section too.

Planned c sections.. usually won't wait till too late.. as we cannot afford for contractions to kick in. Anyway edd is 21st June. . My doc asked me to choose from 1st june to 10th june.

For my first born.. was emergency c section.. was not that bad. Could walk without painkillers on 2nd day. My 2nd c sect.. was painful.. cos I refused to hv painkiller. . As I thought that it will affect breastfeeding. But turn out it wouldn't. So I suffered the pain for nothing. I think with painkillers it will be bearable.

Oh we having the same edd. :) my doc is dr lawrance ang from tmc and I will be delivering at tmc too.. doing ligation at the same time.

Yes c sec have to planned before the due date. mine 2nd was c sec as placenta was low and block the birth canal. My third one will be c sec too. Have to take painkiller and nurse will encourage you to come down and try walk on the second day. If not will delay the discharge date, i dont want to stay in hospital for long.

Yes, so coincidence that we hv the same due, so have u confirm the date to c section? Most probably I will do on 8 June... Before my gynae on leave the next day... May I know did u succeed in breastfeeding after your c section? Is the TMC nurses helpful.... As heard snow was not too helpful?

Thanks for reply. I think c section is 3 days stay right..

Yes, I have confirmed the date with him.. and I managed to bf my son for 7 months as I went bk to work at 5 mths and was doing shift work. . So only lasted 7 mths. Nurses there quite helpful at tmc and helped to latch as and when I had problems. Usual delivery is 3D2N c sect is 4D3N. :)

I think 7 months was good enough alr, of course the longer the better. But i heard it was best to breastfeed the baby for the first 6 months.

Yah I wished I could have done it longer. . But no choice. . :) my son just weaned off milk recently.. having horlicks daily...
