Hi,

I'm looking for URBAN end Dec or early Jan issue for eyebrow embroidery article. Contain some information of recommended places. Anyone has it?

Or anyone has done it? Can share with me the experience?

Hi,

I just did mine in Dec at #1 Salon at Bishan. This salon is pretty famous among the forumers in sgbrides.

$150, and free touchups within 6 mths.

My colleagues all commented that I got nice eyebrows now. I also did eyeliner tattoo there.

Hi jk,

Only Amy does the eyebrow. She's titled the eyebrow specialist on her namecard.. ;p

Touch up can be done by other beauticians, but first time is done by her. Touch ups are free within 6 mths, but must have a time span of 6 wks for each one.

Address: Blk 513, #02-518, Bishan Street 13
Tel: 6258 3822

They only start work at 1pm, so if you want to make appt, call after 1. Also, be prepared to call like 10 times sometimes since no one is free to pick up phone.

Er, last week when I went I heard them saying Amy's fully booked until Apr. So if you wanna go down, I suggest you call on fri noon/ sat noon, ask whether got slot for waiting list. If they say got, then just go down in the evening. Or you can ask them to keep you on waiting list since it's the fastest way.

thanks hidora for the details.
Happy CNY in advance

hi there all... i also did my eyebrow there... apparantly they have got celebrities going there too....i think they are really well know for it cos of the price... by far i think they are the most reasonably priced!!!

I did mine at TPY Hub and the lady will trim my eyebrow each time i passed by. I was given a FREE scar cream (worth $28), a facial (worth $88) and a touchup. :p

yes initially tho the beautician will apply cream first so tat it's nt so painful. it's a matter of getting used to it thro the embroidery. it also saves me a lot of time on makeup ery morning.

Hi Jenny,

Yes, it's painful. My eyes kept tearing. But well, it's worth it. I even did eyeliner tattoo and lips embroidary! Eyeliner tattoo is the most painful. Going for touch up next week.

Hi emoments,

The colour will fade off. So you will need to go for touch up. How long it takes to fade off will depends on individual. Some 1 yr, some a few years.

Hi,

I just had mine done by Amy yday after waiting for nearly 2 mths(her appt is really tight), the pain was bearable and I like the result. By the way, the earliest appt is in May alrdy. If you wanna do, better call soon.

Hi cupcake,

Yes, colouring of lips. My lower lip is pink but upeer lip brown. So did the lips embroidary to let me have pinky lips. :p

Super vain lah. Price for both lower and upper lips - $350

hi hidora

That means you dun hv to put lipstick? Thats v good cos I hate to put lipstick, any cons? My upper lips darker than my lower lips. Can they lighten? Sorry so many questions but v interested. Pain anot?

Hi cupcake,

Glad I can help you with your question. Yes, you do not have to put on lipstick. Just lip gloss/ balm will do. Cos still must take care by moisturizing your lips. If nv take care and lips become dry over prolonged period, your lips will turn back to black black again.

My case also upper lips darker. They will do both up and down so as to achieve even tone. For upper lip, shade a few more time as compared to lower lip since my lower lip is pink.

Gotta tell her you very sensitive to pain, ask her put more anesthetic cream. Overall, I would say eye liner tattoo most pain, follow by brow then lips.

This sat my fren following me there to do her lips too.

Same as eyebrows, there's free touchup in 6 mths. Just FYI, next sat, I will be gng for my 3rd eyebrow and liner touch up (cos still not perfect yet). So you can have 4 free touch up altogether (touch up can only be done every 6 wks.)

Hi cupcake,

I got Betty to do it for me. If you get Amy to do your brows, think you can ask her to do your lips too. But she usually have a long waiting list, and I'm not willing to wait.

If you get Amy to do for you, most prob in 6 mths, you can only do 2-3 touchup max.

hi hidora,

I have some questions.

Why is brow embroidery good? Also what about eyeliner embroidery?

Uhm...if I have quite thick brows - do I still need eye embroidery?

Also, uhm... my eyes are quite big...if I do the eyeliner embroidery, will it make it bigger and make one look fierce?

For the lip embroidery, do they "tatoo" to shape out the lips or they do it on the lips itself?

Sorry for my many questions but I am interested.

mikko, i did both brow & eyeliner embroidery. Eyeliner embroidery is alot more painful than brow embroidery altho brow embroidery takes a longer time.

For brow embroidery, u dun need to b afraid of drawing both brows unevenly.

For eyeliner embroidery, it makes my eyes look bigger and makes me look more alert. hwr, do bear w it for 1st 2 days cos u will look like a panda (abit swollen).

mikko,

There's no eyeliner embroidary. It's eyeliner tattoo. Meaning you tattoo a thin black line on your eyelid. I just did my lower eyeliner, will be going for touch up in a few weeks time.

The eyeliner tattoo is very natural looking as they did it on the lashline. So if done right, it should make your eyes look bigger and not fierce.

No one can see that I got tattoo my eyeliner unless I told them. Can't see at all. Just that my eyes look more alive now as compared to last time.

My lower eyeliner is pretty nice too! Really loved it. Not those aunty aunty type. Just a very faint line that thickens when it reaches the outside of my eyes.

If you have thick brows that are even, like those indians, I suggest you go for threading as it will make your brows look very nice. But must find experienced threaders to do.

Unless you have gaps in between your brows and you dun want to draw them everyday then you go for embroidery.

For me, my brows is still uneven after so many touch up.. Haiz. And becos of my oily face, it's fading pretty fast too. Gonna go for touchup again..

hi hidora,

Thanks for ur response. :) Sounds interesting.

Btw what abt the lips, do they tatoo the lips? Do they add in the pink colour? How long will the colour last? :p

Sounds interesting.

mikko,

For lips embroidary, they tattoo the whole lips. You can choose what colour to add in. For me, I didnt. Just ask them to give me a pinkish look. I still need to go for touch up for my lisp. Upper lip still a bit dark.

Colour is perm. But will fade if nvr take care properly. Must always put on lip balm/ gloss to moisture it.

I did mine at Chinatown those open type concept, a bit embarressing but my sis insist that she is good, so end up paying $150. Its kind of ok - cause i don't need to pluck my brown anymore and don't look so untidy.

Hi, I got some question on the eyebrown embroidary
1) What is the side effects?
2) After embroidary, will my eyebrown still grow?
3) Will the embroidary turn colour?

Pet_Su,

1) No side effect
2) yes, your eyebrow will still grow
3) Embro colour will fade off after a while and that's y u need to touch-up. Try nt to apply whitening cream cos it will lighten the embro col.

I had eyeliner embro too. hehee...

Oh! Sounds good..
So the therapist will know what eyebrown colour to embroidary on my eye brown, or it is just either black or brown colour to choose from?

I did mine at Erabella/Erabelle.. the one at Bugis Junction outside Watsons, along the row where Fancl,Missha is...

Costs me abt $500+- (I think) for 1 session do and 1 session touch up. They are very good... Skills good

Pain level still ok... u can see some blood sometimes but not that bad la...

ladies:
i need to find out a bit more...
was at the motherhood fair last weekend.. and saw this shop doing eyeliner embroidery. but they cost $980!!

why is it so expensive? their shop is at paragon.. but i am afraid to step in just in case i cant leave!! hee

Hi pSi, I Finally done mine in Bishan only cost $150. 1 session do and after 3mths later one final touch up for total of $150. The beautician can draw the eyebrown until you are satisfied with the shape. In fact, my final touch up, one side of it was not done well, they offer to re-do it.
For the price $980, I can do 6 times.

pet su:
thanks!

i called up the shop at Paragon to inquire why the steep price and was told that i never have to do touch up again.

and currently they have a promotional price of doing eyeliner at $650.

i did my calculations, if i would to go to bishan; the salon no.1 or something to do, yes it would be more cost effective but with the touch ups, i might end up paying a lot more in the long run.

i am also thinking of doing my eye brows... that cost a bit more; close to 1k.

i made appt already so will most likely do it. hee..
if they are really that good, i will definitely post the results.
happy.gif

once again, thank you.

the bishan one.. i heard its very popular and crowded.. i am sure the beautician is very skilled.

Hi pSi,

Touch up is a sure must for Eyeliner embroidery, cos it is on permanent. The embroidery will actually fade thru time. I have not heard tellings that no need to do touch up ever again. Some will advice 2 yrs once, bishan Salon 1 will recommend every once a year. the fee will be min, not $150.
You might want to do more survey around on the price. I have few of my friends doing else where, the highest at at $300. The one at Paragon is too pricey.

Hi,
I read what others have just recommended abt ...but anyone have good recommendation for Eyebrow Embroidery in the west area???Thanks in advance…..

hidora (hidora)

hihi , may i know where did u do ur eyeliner tattoo? how much u paid for it?
does it affect the baby if i am a preggie??

Hi all! I saw my best friend's eyebrows very nice and was recommended to a lady who does the eyebrow embroidery at her home (tampines). She told me a lot of air stewardess went to her for the service.

I had done mine 2 weeks ago and just went for touchup today. Did it at $200 and very happy with the results. She's very friendly and patient and she will draw the designs on your face and let you choose until you satisfied. I took abt 2 hours to choose!) The actual embroidery is only about 30mins and not very painful. It comes with free touchups for 6 mths.

The best part about this is i never have to spend time drawing my brows again cos my original brows were 'bald' at the ends and i always spend a lot of time drawing to 'balance' them out. Now i feel confident even when going out without makeup! Heh!

2boys_mum, i'm still BF-ing my 2-mth old baby so i also asked her if it will affect the milk/baby, but she said embroidery, unlike tattoo, is just colouring the surface only, will not get into our bloodstream. (dunno true or not lah)

Anyway, I've just made an appointment to do eyeliner next week... hope it's not going to be as painful as hidora said. Hidora, did you do the upper or lower eyeliner? I'm worried that if i do the upper eyeliner, i will look very "madeup" when i'm without makeup, or will it look natural?

Hi Artitute,

I just went to cindy for eyebrow embroidery. You're absolutely correct, she's very patient, friendly and chatty. She kept drawing a few designs that suits my face though i said I'm fine with her 2nd design. Guess she's more perfectionist than I.

I'm very satisfied with the outcome and her service. I'm excited to see my brows 4 days later after the colour has faded.

Hi,
I am also looking for this service in the west... I am thinking of gng West Mall's Jean Yip if I can't find any recommendation in the west.
sad.gif

I did mine once at Chinatown and it last me close to 2 years. Then I re-do at Erabella but cost me a fortune ($400) and it only last me 6 mths. Sick. I hope Jean Yip don't cost me a fortune...

Hi all,

I did mine at Estetica Hougang by Michelle few years ago.But recently realised that my end eyebrow has faded. So called up to fix an appointment to touch up.But just know that she no longer work there already. Can anyone recommend those good in touch up?Like Hougang,Yishun,Bishan or East areas. Thanks alot!

Halo ladies

I've done my eyebrow embroidery inside the beauty shop @ Toa Payoh Interchange there. Very happy with the results. The lady who done mine is very skillful.

Just went back for my FOC touch-up. Was being introduce to do the eyeliner embriodery and is very tempted...keke

Hi, i did a total of 4 times (does not include touch up) - 2 @ Face Affiar Tampines, 1 @ Bedok and 1 @ Toa Payoh Interchange

Hi, has anyone done eyeliner tattoo at #1 salon at bishan? I'm thinking of doing it together with eyebrow embroidery. Is it very painful? Is it only a thin line on the lash line?
