Experience in 2 bedder

Hi all i noticed that staying in a 2 bedder is much cheaper than 1 bedder. Can those who have been to 2 , 3 or 4 bedded share your exoerience???

Would you rather go to a 1 bedder in a cheaper hospital or a 2 bedder in a more cosy hospital?

I had 2 normal deliveries. 1st child was at Mt. A 4 bedded (4 nights), 2nd child was at SGH 1 bedded (1 night). Both ard $3K+.

1st one in a 4 bedded was so noisy esp during visitation hrs. I prefer a 1 bedded of coz. As I will get the whole room to myself n not afraid that my elder child will disturb others when she came to visit. At night also don't have to be afraid that baby will be woken up by another baby in the same ward. I guess gov hospital won't make u stay too long...even tho I wanted to stay a few more nights but SGH doctor discharged me on the 2nd day.

Hi thank you for the reply :)

My first delivery is at Mount A, a 2 bedder. I think i am quite lucky to spend the first night alone. I am horror stories lover so tends to have wild imagination. It depends on who your 'neighbour' are. Most of my friends shared and said theirs was horrible. For mine, thank god that everything is fine and just hope she wouldn't think am noisy.

Tho I was in a 4 bedded ward in Mt. A, from 2nd night to 4th night I was alone as all the other mommies were discharged. It's scary as I was alone in the big room with 3 empty beds!

Both delivery at Mount Alvernia.
#1 stayed in 2 bedded for 2 days, i had the whole room to myself for the 1st day.
#2 stayed in 4 bedded also 2 days with full occupancy.
Honestly both experience is not much different to me, Be it 1 room to myself, 2 person or 4 person.
I guess single room would be good if you have many guest coming over or want hubby to stay overnight. Otherwise other bed types don't make much difference.
Since most nursing mothers will be very busy bfing every 2-3hrs and babies crying round the clock, also very hard to rest well, best is to go home early with baby.

Hi mummy, my view is not so important to have single bedder, no worth. In the past My dtor advise i took 4 bedder and he said mostly will auto upgrade to 2 bedder, and my neighbour also empty. at the end i stay alone in 1 room with 4 bedder price

Hi just wan to share..now it's hard to get free upgrade..at least for mount a n tmc..Think sg 50 too many babies already

Mount a will charge according to the room u choose..or if it's full, u can downgrade or upgrade n pay according

My friend just deliver in Tmc in May And was staying in 4 bedded..no auto upgrade also..good thing she was the only patient though..
