Diaper Inserts

Hi mummies,
Any recommendations for a good quality diaper inserts? I'm planning to use cloth diapers with diaper liners. I have a regular cloth diapers (not those from charlie banana or moo moo kow etc) and afraid if i don't use anything else, pee will leak everywhere.

I use pigeon diaper liners... is that the same thing? It's to catch the poop so washing is easier right?

A friend taught me a trick, use the waterproof layer of a regular diaper (remove the absorbent layer of the diaper) as the outer layer of your cloth diaper, so that even though you're using cloth diaper, pee won't leak. It's pretty neat and way cheaper than buying those charline banana types. Try it!
