Hi all, I'm intending to go for elective c-sec early next year at either mt A or tmc between 12midnight to 6am in the morning. Any mummies who had opt for horoscopic/astrological timing for c-sec in these two hospitals before? I need advices on the charges and bill size to do budgeting.

Appreciate some good advice here, thanks in advance!

It depends on the day and timing chosen. TMC is quite secretive about it, but they actually have a page of the extra charges charged for each 2-hr time frame (and they don't allow us to take foto of it). In addition, operating theatre wld also charge extra - $388+. Anae as well.

I am gg for delivery next wkend at TMC, elective c-sec for time chosen too. Maybe you can PM me next week once I am back, and I can share more on the bill with you.

Hi

We are also choosing c-sect for delivery. Can u share which master u went to get date for ur c-sect? We have been looking ard but dunno which are good. I saw 1 master from wayone.net but his charges are way too much. 1.3k for date and giving baby chinese name. Also wat are the charges to get date for c-sect?

We tot of just getting date not intending to get exact time for baby to be deliver. Is it ok? Coz we tot if getting exact time might be a be kan cheong as we are 1st time parents.

Thank you...

Um, my relative is a feng shui master, so he did it for us.

I don't think it's possible to just choose the date, with no timing, cos each 2-hr time frame has a different 'impact'.

In addition, the master shld hv to take into consideration yr hubby's and yr 8-characters, as well as both your parents' chinese names and animal year, to arrive at best date and time.

By the way, you have to ask yr gynae between what date to what date can yr c-sec op be chosen. You can only play around with the date and time for that period.

Overall, it's quite a hassle, as well as additional cost. I would rather go for natural birth actually, just that I have no choice. In your case, if you can have a choice, maybe can re-think. But if you are in same sitn as me, then just spend, n get the best for your unborn child. That's what my hubby and I think at least...

Hi

Yup due to medical reason (previous surgery with quite a long cut) gynae advise go for c-sect.

So timing is in 2hr block. So like they will give 12-2...any time between 12-2 we can do c-sect?

I tot our names dob will do. Didn't know we must give parents and parents in law name too. Also my wife do not have Chinese character name although she is chinese. Is it ok with her English name?

Yup..that's correct.

Um, i am not sure. But my relative (the feng shui master) got all these information from us.

I think for yourself and wife, most important would be both your 8-characters bah...

Hi rtan, my relative is researching on ziwei doushu and chose the day and timing for me, she didn't ask me for the other details thou. Maybe different schools have different methods, seems like ziwei doushu is more straightforward. Just like what poohpepe mentioned, my relative also advised that the timing is as important as the day, as different hour block will have a totally different outcome! She advised it is best to choose the front / middle of each block, just in case unexpected event popped up and caused delay. Even a few minutes delay and the timing goes to the next two hour block, the outcome will be totally different.

However, hubby and I don't really believe in it but we will just follow. Since we are opting for elective c-sec (due to unpleasant experience during the birth of my firstborn through natural delivery), we might as well follow it: if it is really accurate, then good for the baby to have a head start in life; if not accurate, then no harm also. btw my relative is just amateur so i'll just take it with a pinch of salt:)

Thanks rtan!

Hi Moonbebe,

Yup, that's what my hubby n i think too - to give bb headstart in life if tt's possible.

Anyway, for TMC at least, the operating theatre is booked in 2-hr blocks, so I doubt there would be possibility of 'missing' the golden period, esp since it's c-sec. The nurse told me usually 20-mins done le, for the actual delivery, though getting ready and cleaning up after that would take time. But the critical moment is the time the baby is delivered from the womb, so as long as that time is within that 2-hr block, it's safe. :)

Hi poohpepe. I got to agree that it is every parent's desire to give the best to our children in whatever way we can:)

Wonders if Mt alvernia works the same rate as tmc for the charges of unusual timing for elective c-sec? Hmmm....

Thanks. Yup due to medical reason so might as well since doin c-sect. Dun waste the opportunity and ifs gd then it's will give us and baby good blessings. Anyway time to follow means baby out of womb?
