BAD OSCAR TEST -How?

Got a call gynae that I am considered high risk for baby Down syndrome.

Anyone with similar case and baby turn out to be healthy and fine? Thank you
 


Are you referring to blood test for Downs syndrome? My friend went for further test, and delivered a normal healthy baby.

Don't worry. Ask your doctor about the test result. You can obtain more info from doctors who specialise in high risk pregnancy.
 
Tomorrow will be going to the specialist for an In depth review.

The call from the clinic states that is high risk.Previous Oscar scan shows baby has faint nose and thick neck.

have been recommended to take invasive test to get a diagnostic. Feeling anxious.

Have you taken NIPT like panaroma or harmony? It's more accurate than Oscar.
 
Not yet. Clinic called andjust recommended Amnio.

heard that if NIPT can’t detect accurately will have to eventually go with invasive test.

Tomorrow will be going for the doc review and test in the afternoon.

I see.. yes amino is most invasive but accurate. How many weeks are u now?
 
Approaching 13 weeks. So I believe doctor will probably advise with CVS. Just hope everything will be fine.
 
Hi there, we are having the same case. Have just done the Amnio and our express results states it's negative for down syndrome. We are waiting for the final results now next week. What's your status so far?

Praise the lord. I’m still waiting results for cvs. Didn’t opt for express so about 2-3 weeks from date of procedure. Am happy for you mama.

What was your ratio and NT for Oscar scan?
 
Our Ratio was 1:5. NT was 3.2mm with absent nasal bone so it puts us at a really high risk. How about yours? FYI our NIPT stated low risk also but our Oscar was very conflicting. Just worried now that it's another type of chromosomal issue but we won't find out until the Amnio result comes out. When are you expecting your results?

If NIPT Low risk it most probably will be fine! I guess results will be out by this week or next.
My trisomy 21 ratio was 1:157. NT: 3.5mm for Oscar.
 
Hi mummies, i am new to this!

Got absent nasal bone and terribly high HCG for my FTS. Cleared NIPT and now waiting for CMA results after amnio. Almost 2 weeks already still no call yet.. Wondering how long is the weight normally... (was advised 2-3 weeks) but i am damn worried... :( Thanks!

No call actually means good! Usually if anything serious they will let you know earlier. Good to give the clinic a call to check on your status. All e very best!

Thank you for reply! I put in special req to get a call whether good or bad news. and tomorrow is also my gynae follow up so i want to know the result before than to prepare questions to ask my gynae..

I also put in special request to receive a call. But they didn’t call. Instead they passed me a the letter of report of my cvs test when I went for my cyst surgery 3 days back. Cvs result came out good!

Hugs! thanks for understanding. i am as prepared for the worst as i can be... and keeping things super low profile... Hope my baby is healthy.. thats all i ask for.
