It's true that NUH is very pro breastfeeding and they encourage baby to room in with mummies.
My baby cries even after I bf, I was so tired that I dun have enough sleep so requested the nurse to bring baby to the nursery. But once the baby is time for milk, they bring back the baby for me to try latching on. Though there isn't really real milk for the first few days. But the latching really helps to stimulate, by the second day, my colostrum starts to come.

But I suffered from sore nipples, cos my baby sucked for too long and it took me 2 weeks to recover. I dare not allow baby to latch directly because it is too painful so I express out to let him drink.
The lactation consultant visited me on day 2. And I was discharged on day 3.
My last delivery at NUH, they also visited me on Day 2, every day until I discharged. Butndun worry, the nurses there all are trained in bf too.
