Hi,

Just wanna share my experience with other indo mums and mums-to-be who are keen to engage a confinement lady/nanny...

I engaged a lady from kalimantan to help me during my 'extended' confinement period (2 mths). She's an indonesian chinese and speaks bahasa indo and hakka (a chinese dialect). I don't speak chinese myself, that's why i choose to get someone fr indo, as opposed to the usual malaysian confinement ladies, lest i end up in a chicken and a duck situation.

Anyway, i am very happy with her as she's good with babies (ah then?), but not only that, she also cooks really well, incl indo dishes like nasi kuning, rendang, bakmi goreng, etc. She's also humble and willing to do general house cleaning.

So if you happen to look for a confinement lady, do PM me and i'll email you her info. Note i'm not related to her whatsoever. I just think it's good that we look out for one another, since kita sama2 di perantauan...

Btw, she doesn't speak english and mandarin, so unless you can speak bahasa or hakka or malay, you may be better off with a malaysian lady.

Wa juga from Indo.
i also engaged Indonesian confinement nanny from Batam.
She know bahasa and Chinese, so if she went to market no problem because she can speak chinese.
I also extended her service until my boy 6 months old then i decide to get a stay in maid.
