New mummy here going to buy pram for 1-month kiddo (yay! Confinement's over!). Need help from experienced mummies: would there be a pram you'd recommend? There are so many in the market that I went blur...

Thanks in advance!

i'm first time mom to be and i've settled for a dutch brand Joie.

true that there are many brands out there! for us we find determine our purchase based on price, functionality, comfort/security for our bb.
we nvr research for one but when we go down to the fair just try out most prams and see which suits our criteria and liking.

hope i help!

I chose combi as I need one that is light and compact. I got a pre loved combi well comfort

Considerations for you:
1) Do you own a car? do you take taxi / public transport? If you don't drive, Get something light enough for you to manage alone single hand (loading/unloading onto your transport mode), preferbly something you can close with one hand so your other hand can be used to hold your kid when bb's older / grocery bags. Will you be likely to have a second kid as well? Good to be able to steer easily with one hand.

2) For new born, you nd to choose something that bb can lie down more flat, adjustable to sit up position.

3) What is you & your hubby's built? If you are on the bigger built, get something bigger & wider, as your baby's more likely to be big too.

4) If you do drive, there are some that comes with a bb carseat, but that is usually more bulky.

5) your budget? there are so many in the mkt and online. Go down to departmental stores / bigger branch of kiddy palace/ baby hypermart / baby kingdom at eunos area to try out and see what prices they are. try to get from those bigger bb fairs, usually there are better discounts.

Don't get the very cheap ones - wheels and safety of the pram is impt. I heard that the very cheap type the lower parts and wheels do not last that long.

We don't drive and use public transport alot. When bb's young we took more taxis, but now with 3 kids (5, 3 & 6mth), 1 Combi Pram and a maclaren stroller (for older kids) worked very well for us. The older 2 kids actually can sit in combi pram together if needed when I was pregnant and out alone with them to run errands. Combi pram has last us for 5 yrs now and still going strong (despite of us overloading it often)!

We bring 1 Combi pram for short outings or both pram out if it's a long day out for 2 or 3 kids. Hope you find your suitable pram!
