i bz nursing my baby back to health~...'the nose still running' n i have to catch it...hehehe...wif a hanky~! den my hb plak kena antar tan tock seng....sprained ankle while on duty...*sigh*...nak pi kedai so susah..i kena angkat pram turun naik tangga..i kena tolong angkat barang berat...nak jalan kena slow slow...
but good thing today my gerl stay over her granny house...dapat rest sikit...

By the way <font size="+1">Mums</font>, siapa2 yang interested in fabric kalendar (malay version), I'm trying to bring them in but minimum order mesti lima puluh pieces. Boleh check out BP thread kalau you are keen. Tapi that's the ang-moh version.

juz now i jus came back from kk, my baby muntah muntah after every feed for the past 3 feedings...the coughing got worst n runny nose still like banjir gitu..batuk sampai air mata keluar...my heart goes out to him..sob sob...masa dia muntah tadi i was so shock coz it came out like merlion...so much!!
alhamdulillah, doc said not due to the fall he had a few days ago....jus a gastric flu/virus of some sort...nak kena stay a few more hrs for observation but hb got no choice .. have to go back werk...takut banyak org mata merah nanti...so jus me observing my bb at home for now...hopefully he's ok..

I remember u ever said that ur boy bile keluar banyak org terpikat or suke dgn dia. this is a petua org tu la, kalau u nak ikut. my mom cakap to avoid budak budak yg sensitive kena tegur tegur org or mate mate org, dab a bit of celak (for me i use black mascara, easier to apply) behind his ear before u leave the house. I practice this, bukan ape, prevention is better than cure. Bec org tua tua believe kalau budak budak ni selalu kena tegur (like org puji puji "so cute" ke, "semangat" ke etc) nanti senang jatuh sakit. Its really up to individual, thot I share it with you.
Another thing, ayat kursi. Its very powerful, kalau budak budak still outside time maghrib ke, just carry them and whisper to them..its good protection.
Tadi pegi zoo.... my newphe refused to leave. Nasib baik petang ade hujan sikit, good respite from the heat. Berpacket packet tissue habis lap peluh...sigh. We left the zoo at 6.30.. full day man..

Indiscrimate Pricing of Food by Makcik Makcik and Kakak Kakak Jualan
Sometime, i wonder how these pple yg jual makanan sleep at nite. My office is in somerset. so there is one kedai malayu selling rice, soto, mee rebus etc.. at Emerald food court. I dun know whether the lady dun like my face or she is just siow... $1 for one bergedil? Put so much chilli in mee soto until i cannot eat? $1 for one epok epok (mediun size ones, the size u get at jemputan kahwin). wait until u buy rice... you can buy the same combination on diff days and the price will be different.. why? she follow stock market is it???
And u know, i like to eat soto ayam, so if i want to eat it everyday pun bole kan.. sometimes when i order, this kakak actually give me a LOOK u know, macam i so sengkek la.. makan tu aje...sigh. thats why kalau i mintak bergedil, she quickly take the opportunity to overcharge me. charge $1 for bergedil. $1.50 for one fried chicken wing!! I might as well buy fruits, healthier choice.
one more stall at the basement of my building. Indonesian chinese owned, but got halal cert, cooks all malay.. the bibik there also will charge u thru the roof. I ever see she charge an ang moh a plate of rich with chicken, sayur and tahu for $9 can u believe it??? And the food so so oily.
Other than these two stores for malay food, i can have mac d, burger king, long johnn silver, kfc for lunch.. tapi tak kan selalu selau nak makan these kind of food.
So on days that my mom cook i will ta pao lunch. But it also depends la, sometimes i go to client's place from home.. so tak nak la bawak banyak banyak barang..
there was a very good foostall at starhub buidling food court called Qiara. But that food court closed to make way for the Kaplan APMI school
.. the stall moved to meridien hotel foodcourt. but since not good patronage, altho I will walk there at least once a week, recently da tukar owner.
Thumbs up for Qiara. Good food. Good Variety. I really dun mind paying the price if the food is good(acceptable). I do understand the exorbitant rental that they stallholders have to pay.
But please jangan la sampai these kedai melayu think org takde choice they want to take advantage pulak.

yup that rite nora... for me i still believe abt that... bila time my son few mth old usually time nak dekat maghrib i apply minyak busuk kat behind his ear, ubun ubun, ibu jari kaki and dua belah kening dia.... and abt the people who ckp baby cute etc ifor me i believe it for some children bila people say like that kadang dia tak bole terima to yg buat dia sakit. same jugak dgn like baby to we see chubby and we tengok dia nanti takde appetite..to yg me tahu ah... org tua tua suka ckp.

*sigh*...tanx nora for the advise...i tak pernah dengar petua tu, but i will surely try...i so regret 'get tired of ppl praising him' coz wen im out always no peace one...now i actually wish he's back healthy n chubby...nak puji ke nak praise ke go ahead lah asalkan dia healthy~...
last nite at midnite went to kk again...his vomiting started again n he barely take in any feeds..everytime feed, he will vomit again...hard to make him smile, slalunya geli gelikan ajer perut or pipi dia, dah tergelak...ni he juz keep quiet...need the sister to make him smile, his fav person but she also tired to layan/jeles cos he's being taken care 24/7....
anyways, last nite the outcome, doc sent him for x-ray n said most possibility is bronchitis...n all the coughing is causing the vomiting...gave me the choice of admitting him or take him home...but i chose taking him home..coz i believe that with me n hb, he got 2 person to care for him...if hospital the nurse got other kids to care for...n he needs to be cuddled especially wen sick....*sigh* i feel so tired but anxious about my son...kesian tengok dia....

hari ni i happy sikit! hehe...my boy smalam gave his ayah a good fathers day present by showing a 'toothy grin'!!! his very first tooth~!! yehhhhh!! we tak celebrate on sunday but on monday n while having our lunch my baby jus grin n there 'it' is!! patutlah dianya sakit meragam nahhh...these past 2 weeks....alhamdulillah he's a bit better...this morning managed to take his 7oz milk feed again..! skarang nak kena jaga kakak dia pulak...*sigh*...dah batuk batuk n smalam dia pulak taknak makan....

hopefully his teeth kuar cepat n tak demam sgt eh.. coz my son gigi dia mmg cam magic seh kuar cepat sekali, 1st sprout at 5mths n by 9-10mths he has full sets already.. bt the adik peh lambat dah tu asal nak grow je demam.. tak sanggup seh.. n she baru je have a complete set by this mth.. hehe lambatkan dah nak masuk 2yrs baru nak complete..

If i were you kan, i'll complain to CASE! Menyampah dgn org jualan melayu mcm tu. I'll just not buy from them. Lain kali u pakai hp record your orders and the price they tell you. Kalau sama order but different pricing memang layak kena complain! Same as those kedai2 yg dah start 7% GST! NTUC pun sama!!

Dulu my mil pun told me of that petua but i pakaikan kejap je. But memang as compared to girls, boys are more difficult to take care of as they have more karenah. Setan suka lekat pada anak lelaki pasal they are the org kuat islam..

Vietnam is surprisisngly much much cleaner than M'sia!! Esp the toilets.. Kalau kat M'sia I sanggup tahan dari masuk their public toilets. Geli betul!
But in Vietnam, the streets are q clean and you do see the cleaners cleaning up the rubbish during the day and night.
I shopping tak menggiler sgt lah...hehehe. I tailored 1 baju kurung and 2 vietnamese dresses, with 2 different tailors. Then I bought 2 'Coach' bags, a rattan handbag, 5 beaded pouches for myself and others, and dri-fit sports shirts..
By the way, I'm putting up 2 Adidas dri-fit sports shirts for sale pasal tersalah beli the size. Geram lah! Can check out in my multiply.
Then I also bought the Vietnamese mocha coffee which I lurvvee.. My hb bought a pair of Clarks sandals and dri-fit sports shirts and shorts.
You can shop more than that lah but I basically had2 days for shopping and looking for tailor.
But I'm happy with the tailors. The one that sewed my baju kurung and the Viet dress took 2 days and the other who sewed one more of my Viet dress took a day. Usually they'll take a day and they'll do alterations immediately and finish same day.
Imagine lah, the kain+lining 1 suit only cost me $70sgd!! I don't know the name of the kain but I think it's opel with sequins. The Viet dress with kain opel and lining cost me $60. This tailor more ex cos the other charged me $50 for kain lace with glitters and lining 1 suit. This shop also sold korean silk at $5sgd/metre!! I bought for my sis. I nak beli for myself but too many pulak. Anw, thinking of going back again for weekend shopping when I get a chance!

Hi Sharena, can i know which hotel u put in Vietnam and if halal food is easily available. Did u travel F&E or thru Muslim agent. And if its ok, wat's yr travel package cost.

I went f&e. Stayed at Tan My Dinh hotel. Booked with Wann Travel. By Tiger Airways, it costs abt $550 for 5D4N hotel w b/f and flight.
As for halal food, there are v few restaurants. We mainly ate at Four Seasons, near the mosque and Satay House which is slightly further away from our hotel but only S$2 by taxi. Certain taxis are v ex so take Vinataxi or those that run with a meter.

I went f&e. Stayed at Tan My Dinh hotel. Booked with Wann Travel. By Tiger Airways, it costs abt $550 for 5D4N hotel w b/f and flight.
As for halal food, there are v few restaurants. We mainly ate at Four Seasons, near the mosque and Satay House which is slightly further away from our hotel but only S$2 by taxi. Certain taxis are v ex so take Vinataxi or those that run with a meter.

thanks for the info sharena. wow u rather gungho hor bringing your 7 mth baby to a third world country. Previously when i brought my 4mth baby to Bangkok, i practically packed everything even to the extent of bringing my own drinking water cos dun even trust their bottled water.

actually my concern was also the water but then we are not allowed to bring that much fluid on the plane so I just pray lah nothing bad happens.. Fortunately the hotel will give us hot water in a flask every day. So far, no problems of stomach pain or unusual crying from my doter..

thanks for the invite but my brother in law ade kenduri for his wedding la that day. its his second marriage so buat kat rumah aje. penat la kite kena render kendarat services. I thot when my sis in law got married 2 years ago dah habis kontrak i jadi kendarat... ade lagi pulak.

Anyway this morning I nak meluahkan my frustratiions that I've been holding up for many days. Downloading my unhappiness ngan AMIRAH'S GRILL CAFE @ Bussorah St. Very very the pissed with them... nora I totally agree with you about this halal foods establishments yg take advantage... nak cepat untung jer
Celebrated my son 1st b'day last Sunday @ AMIRAH's. Read in the paper that they serves 30 over dishes for their buffet spread. My foot!! Tipah tertipu....aaarrgggh...
What they only served last Sunday were briyani, butter rice, 1 chicken dish, 1 beef dish, 1 fish dish & 2 kind of soups. Desserts cam a cat have rummaged thru it. Fruits smallest cut of watermelon & banana. I swear never will I ever recommend to book with AMIRAH'S. Tak halal take ppl's $$ & hope they run into financial trouble for the hassled & heartached they've caused me & family.. Their organising skills & service <font color="ff0000">SUCKS BIG TIME</font>!!
Half an hr eating the buffet, my hb received a call from the boss asking my hb while we still not at the rstnt. Then he asked why half of my guests have not arrived. Buffet was from noon to 4pm. It was before 1pm he asked this. My hb told him that eventhough our guests didn't turn up, we will pay him the number of pax we have booked for the buffet!! then drop the bomb. They hv dbl booked the plc and now he pleaded with us to shift our party to the other branch @Pahang St coz the other party that booked the place is a lawyer & threatened to sue him if he don't honor her reservation. He told us that he's willing to compensate us anything we wish. So not wanting to create a scene, stuupid me, told hb tak nak kecoh-kecoh laa.. we reluctantly shift the celeb. panas terik angkut laa our barang-barang. But to my horror, the Pahang St. place was so damn run-down & dusty that my son became cranky & uncomfortable
. Seeing the place hilang my mood nak celebrate... I think sofas & decors kat sana they bought from karang guni man... the place so damn stuffy, aircon pon tak strong daa lama tak do servicing agaknya... When come to settle the bill, the wife si bey kwee lan laa... sia-sia pakai tudung. overcharged us, when we corrected her & told her that she shd deduct the deposit that we had made, she claimed she don't know & got no record & became angry & told her staff to go upstairs and personnally count how many guests I jemput!!! is this the treatment after I relent to her hubby plead to shift our our celeb to this branch!! what a load of crap!! never again will I jejak kat AMIRAH'S...
was told just now that 2 of anak saudara got the fever that night and my sis fell ill too ... it's got to be due to that unclean place laa...
then come another disappointment, my son b'day cake. After reading lotsa of rave reviews from this forum abt ecreative cake, thought it would a nice change to order from them rather that the usual ice-cream cakes that I've been ordering from SWENSEN & Haagen Daz for my daughter b'day yr in yr out. But to my disappointment, the design of the photo cake from ecreative was so pathetic & the taste... tak terkata laa... what a waste of $$$...
daa 2 kali I buat b'day celeb outside my home & 2 kali tak menjadi ... guess daa fated to do celeb kat rumah jer laa ...
still very bitter with the whole episode.... what a way to celebrate my son 1st b'day....

kalau i kan...hantar surat kat The Newpaper!!! biar orang tahu how bad their service is n if the so call lawyer customer read about it...saper tahu. dia will carry on n sue them...these kind of people mesti nak kena complain, if not others will also kena this kind of bad service from them....

Yaa lar, I just don't know why they are in the service industry if they can't even give a decent service. It's not that I'm asking them to serve me hand & foot. Smile also don't have... esp the cashier girl only when I agree to shift my celeb than baru she sibuk-sibuk nak buat baik... puuik.. not sincere at all...
I also thought Amirah's Grill daa tak exist but they were featured in the Sunday Times. So I thought why not for a change serve Mediterranean foods for my kid b'day celeb kan.. never thot it would turn out to be a disaster.. Praying they gulung tikar also...
Actually I did argue with the boss that the lawyer don't have a case coz never in the receipt stated allocation of seats. Just the normal Petty Cash voucher with Amirah's co's stamp & how much deposit you've placed.. but he pleaded with me & hb saying the lawyer not reasonable & refuse to listen... I pulak tak kuasa mood that day, so relent laa... thinking back I shd have be difficult also after his kanasai wife's action..

Wow I didn't know it was that bad. Is the Bussorah St's branch new? I've been to the one at Pahang St twice and I like the food. Service is so-so.
The first time my husband called to make a reservation for his friends and he specifically said he wanted the 2nd floor. They told him the arrangement was possible. But when we came, we had to sit on the ground floor because they told us there were other groups of people celebrating upstairs. Didn't make a big hooha as the lady who attended to us was polite.
My 2nd time there pon ok because my sisters n I were the only ones there. The place was empty so we just enjoyed the food.
Kalau my husband was in your situation, sure gaduh besar punya. Dia pantang kena ripped off.

Anyway on a lighter note, catch TRANSFORMERS last night. Darn great movie. 2 thumbs up if you are into action movie. It's been so long since I've seen such a kick ass movie... movie still buzzing in my head... please don't bring your kids to this movie. not for them. bring back my childhood memory growing up watching the cartoon version....
