my daughter wasnt growing well in the womb cos one of the veins that's supplying blood to the placenta ada high resistance. it's a problem that has no known cause and may very likely recur in my next pregnancy. i doa it wont lah.

my daughter's eating habits is getting worse lah. today, she ate soooooo very little!! i'm getting pretty desperate and i think tomorrow i nak beli a small can of formula milk for her to try.

for the facial at leonard drake u go there so that they can assess ur skin condition and recommend u the treatment. I've got bad skin la, big pores, acne scars so i have a few treatments. but dalam banyak i try i find their treatment is good. Tak la muke i ni licin ke ape, but at least i dun suffer bumps and clog pores. i think the basic cleasing facial is abt $85, the the more extensive treatment more expensive la.

u know after i gave birth, my skin tunggang langgang, dry and scaly and pigmentation etc. Then i go for the light treatment..zap zap piak piak... (piak piak bec actually it feels like pple smack rubber band on ur face, ade sakit sikit la)and wah lah.... can really see the effect! satu kali aje i pegi, pasal mahal la, actual price $300 i think, u do first time they give 50% discount.

but like u say, muke dgn badan ni kan nak pakai lame...kena la invest sikit

yes, mine is the Evenflo exersaucer, can spin fully, and bounce-bounce and can adjust 3 heights. then the best thing is it's the Exersaucer Entertainer, so the panel at the front got those interactive things bb can play with (must use battery).

when i 1st bought it, my dd was ard 4mths old and she was very scared of it! even when she laid her eyes on it she would cry - so drama! then one day i invited IC and Arshad over, and she let Arshad play in it, and he enjoyed it so much. the whole time he was in it i let my dd watch him play, then after they went home she pun nak masuk and play in it! haha. from that day onwards the exersaucer has been her fave gadget at home. even now she is already 2yrs old she will sometimes climb in and sit in it! i will call her a baby ganyut, and she will laugh sheepishly.

Wow, Shiok lah go bali. I went with hubby and Amaar last July. We enjoyed it a lot. You MUST stay in Ubud. It's much more peaceful and to me, it's like the real Bali.

Driver wise, you may want to consider driving. They will give you a map and with Lonely Planet (borrow from library), it's better than a driver. But if you still want a driver, there's plenty along the streets of Kuta. just bargain first.
Hubby drove up to Ubud. Much better as we can stop whenever we like and I can bf in peace.
For halal food, there's not much but there's some warung selling padang/minang food that specify they sell halal food.You can ask around too.

about the exersaucer, I just sold mine to rent-a-toy... my son don't seem to enjoy sitting in it not like his sis when she was a baby (9 yrs ago) I've got her an EVENFLO Exersaucer too & she really had a good time in it.... So thought the brother will enjoy too so bought for him only to let the exersaucer collect dust at the corner of my living room.... so now my maid happy got 1 less toy to clean ...

toothsome, I puree & cook porridge for my son. Got the MUCHKIN GRINDER for the pureeing job (meat & fruits but you've got to steam item first so that the pureeing work take less effort) and PHILIPS Blender (the green color, smallest one, can't remember the model) for grinding of brown & white rice & millet too... for veg after steaming I used Lucky Baby making baby food thingy to grate, strain or mash the veg in..

ryatie, I stayed at the HRC, Bali when I was there. Very happening place.My kid enjoy the facilities but outside very scary coz got lotsa of ppl touting. Made us felt like we are being mobbed like a popstar gitu... scary..

i used some cheapo blender that i got as a free gift to blend/puree my dd's food when she was a bb. then just nice when i was about to stop using it, the blender rosak! so i just throw away lah. after that i just used hand-held blender, cause it's very convenient and my dd was at the stage where she was eating coarser mashed up food already.

exersaucer:
hee...my exersaucer hot eh? toothsome dah reserve already from mid-may till mid-june.

enjoy your hols! last time i was at Bali (when hubby and i just got married) we also stayed at HRC - very nice hotel!

eh, if you wanna rent the exersaucer from me let me know lah. tampines is not the only place you can pickup. we can meetup somewhere else, the pickup location is flexible, cause weekends we usually go out and my hubby pun kerja at Science Park so if you stay nearby he can always help drop it off on weekday evenings.

kesiyan kan orang2 macam nonoi's family? orang orang yang hidup macam gini ramai tau. tapi, yang paling kesiyan are the kids lah. bila dah besar, 95% confirm hanyut and the vicious cycle they are in will continue. the other 5% who may do well in life will always have issues to deal with.

i recommend sekali age of kawen for melayu couples to be raised. kalau tak, dorang ingat, kalau dah terlanjur, senang2 boleh kawen untuk tutup malu. dah kawen, buat anak lagi banyak, abetu semua takde guidance. dahsyat ah.

bought my exersaucer from TAKA but was told TAKA stop carrying the item by the rent-a-toy guy. That's why he bought it from me.... He also said this item is hot stuff. I got my dd exersaurcer 9yrs ago from EVENFLO agent in S'pore. I chose the design & he brought in from US on my behalf.. but can't remember his contact.. I was EVENFLO fan when I had my DD. Everything from carseat, stroller, toys, feeding bottles got to be from EVENFLO. That's why the agent kamcheng with me...hehehe...

Yup I've got a few grinders to prepare diff foods for my DS ...

if you want to get the PHILIPS blender tu, the cheapest is at Best Denki... don't buy at Courts, not only their interest can kill you (if you are talking abt installment) some of the electrical stuffs can be quite ex compare to others.

abt this nonoi case... ppl like them, give malay a bad name (& sometime makes me feel ashamed to be one)... I hope my remark don't offend anybody.. I doubt the mother even feel a thing for the lost..... yup nora.. the maternal GM is the 1 that tak sempat naik pelamin... case KELUARGA 69.. tunggang terbalik .. very sad.

yah my hubby works at Science Park. no choice lah, the company moved there from Raffles Place. luckily he drives, so takes him about 40mins to get to work or home. if he nak take public transport, it would take him almost 2hrs to get home!

toothsome is renting the exersaucer from me in mid-may, so if you want i can rent it to you now for 1 mth. nak tak? $20 is for 1 mth. you just PM lah, then we can discuss where to meetup to pass you the exersaucer.

anyway, the exersaucer we can't order from amazon, cause they won't ship internationally. so you have 2 ways of buying it:
1) order from amazon/babiesrus and ship via vPost
2) order from amazon/babiesrus and have it shipped to a friend's home in US and have that friend bring it back for you or ship it to you

however, the exersaucer is VERY heavy so shipping to s'pore might cost a bomb. for me what i did was ordered from amazon, then have it shipped to my friend's place in NY, then when i went to NY that week i took it from her and hubby and i brought it back home with us. we just brought it back as checked-in luggage.

about this nonoi case...all i can say is, it's so sad that a 2yr old's life had to end like this. i baca the story i feel so sad, cause my dd is the same age, and i can't imagine anything like that happening to her.

anyway, i agree with you ladies about this case and about some of the social problems our race face. it's a vicious cycle lah. the problems need to be nipped in the bud, and raising the age of marriage for malay couples and stressing the importance of a formal academic education for our kids is a good start.

I just sometimes hope that we can do more for these people. I think that they are just lost in their own world, seeking more wrong advice from the wrong company around them. Why must they put through themselves to all of this? I'm sure they don't want it to end up this way. I just pray that Nonoi is in a better place now and that her mom will try to pick up of whatever she has left in her life and make the best of it. Sad......
