Selamat pagi semua.. I pun nak join the malay mommies kat sini.. since its Friday, my engine belum start nak bikin keje!..
Anyway, i'm a FTWM with a 2yr old son..sama cam RMS I tinggal kat Sengkang.. weekend pun I ada computer off syndrome .. also pasal my hubby will conquer tu pc main Championship Manager!

since your son is amost 2.5yrs old now, can send him to playgroup or 1/2 day childcare already. i think he will enjoy it! my dd now 20.5mths old, can see some days she also bored staying home, so after she turns 2 i am planning to send her to PG or CC.
for now, i do alot of activities with her at home. play games, play toys, read books, sing songs, dance, watch dvds, she plays with baby/tod softwares on her laptop also (ie. sesame street, disney, pooh, etc). i also bring her downstairs every evening to the playgorund or park. sometimes in the morning/afternoon i also bring her to the shops, supermarket, coffeeshop, etc.
once she is old enough i plan to do arts & crafts and also cooking/baking with her at home. i already bought some books from amazon on these activities, so now reading up. so kiasu!!

Noticed that most of the mums here are 1st time mum... Soon I'll be going through that phase again with my 2nd kid, 5mth old son. My daughter who is going 9 still gets bored easily. Dunno with kids nowadays. So much energy for me WM to cope... sometime wish there is an energy boost drink that can make me last for 1 whole day with my kids & hubby

For me, i sewa slide and playhouse. Jadi dia le main2. Buang excess energy dia. haha... Then i le ar relaks jap tgk tv. Maklom lar, aku nie ada syndrome malas!

that laptop actually is daddy's, then spoil already, as in he can't use for any of his work anymore. so he just installed a few of her softwares. so when she asks for it, we just turn it on for her at the living room coffee table, then she sit in her chair and she fiddle ard with it lah. i bought quite a lot of toddler softwares from JB.

My girl pun tat day demam macam nak rak.. exactly 2 weeks after raya... go to doc twice,
she only start to recover after a week... lembik macam pisang salai...
luckily I'm not working bt kesian hubby dia pun tak leh tido cos budak ni panas dia naik macam api 40degrees too, so kena sponge the whole nite n monitor her....

My son is currently in Playgrp..we even hv different activities daily at home after his nap frm sch.. and the activities are changed weekly..tu pun buat i pening kepala think of daily lesson plans with him. Library visits,outdoor activities u name it,i've done it all..even baking!!Memandangkan dia boy, tak suka sgt dgn barang dapur..suka menyerakkan dapur ada lah!! Boys will be boys, smhw different frm girls..

can i ask how old your boy is and which PG he going to? what are the hrs of the PG and the fees? i am now looking ard for a PG for my dd - planning to send her some time next yr. so far i can't really find any good ones in tampines, so may have to send her to somewhere in siglap/east coast/marine parade area.

Sekali-sekali masuk sini, rancak jugak perbualan. At one time tu, macam senyap ajer. I dah PM watie my details before, not sure if she got it or not.
Anyway, can't wait for my son to grow older so that I can send him to a playgroup as well. Right now, dia baru nak masuk 18mths and I am waiting to meletup. No 2 pun boy jugak. Boleh jadi kurus kering I nak layankan karenah 2 boys. 1 ni jer takboleh handle activenya.
I think I need to find a job after my delivery pasal jadi SAHM ni, naik bankrupt my husband wife dia asyik shop online. Heh.

This Bulk Purchase thingy, the ppl yg organise tu can be trusted meh? I thot of joining the COACH Spree that being organised by CP but hubby said not to easily trust ppl esp. when you've to pay 1st haven seen the thing.. He said I nih straight sgt.... There's lotsa of crooks out there preying on mothers like us...

but, my husband will surely meleter after a while - one after another the packages start coming in. hahaa!
when i join the sprees, i will check past records of the organiser. i'll do a search and find out what the organiser has conducted before. kalau dia ada masuk other threads besides the marketplace, tu lagi bagus because it shows that the person is real. so far so good lah. i have not been burnt.

However,I made a mistake of paying so much attention wanting a gd sch for him n yet so far away frm our plc. DS got very tired bcoz of the journey only altho i drove him to n fro. Poor him, nvr thot it cld really affect his behaviour.
So mummies, bear in mind. Journey can really waste so much time. Tht time alone can be used for revision of what is being taught in school or any other quality moments for u n child to cherish.
Nevertheless, the sch's programme n its cleanliness shld be on top of ur expectation list.
Just a 2 cents worth.

We, women always can sweet talk & seduced our men to get our way... heheheee... Lani, I've placed 3items with CP. 2 for me 1 for hubby at least can tell him I still think of him when doing my shopping maa.... Anyway my hubby already asked me what I want as he'll be getting his bonus too but normally I rather spend my $$. But he still gives me an earful if I comeback with unneccessarily shopping goodies (I'm a shopaholics always finding reason to shop)....

it's not a stupid question lah! generally most PGs will take kids from 18mths-30mths. once they are turning 3yrs old that yr, they go to Nursery 1, then when turning 4yrs that yr, it's Nursery 2, then turning 5yrs that yr, it's K1, then turning 6yrs that yr it's K2.
however, Apple Tree PG is the only PG that i know of that only accepts kids turning 3yrs that yr for their PG. Apple Tree is quite popular cause they got branches ALL over S'pore and the fees are very cheap (abt $125/mth for 1.5hr daily PG).

i was wondering how i can occupy my daughter meaningfully when i start becoming a SAHM next year. my daughter only reaching 9 months.

PG not just main-main aje. most of it will be main-main lah, but they got other things too, ie learning phonics, mandarin, arts & crafts, etc. it all depends on the PG you attend, cause they all have different syllabus. actually the whole purpose of PG is to make learning fun for the kids (as the learning is done in a fun and non-structured environment), and also for the kids to develop social skills.
since your dd 9mths then maybe you can look into enrichment classes, those 1x/wk kind, eg. kindermuzik, gymboree, my gym, growing up gifted, julia gabriel, etc.
