actually abt 8-10 yrs ago we did reno project on my mum's old house
budget design and guy in charge zul
very very satisfactory

but whn time i nak reno rumah i that guy was no longer with budget design
and we dun have good vibe with the guy that was giving us the quote at that time

zu, yesh lagi seminggu hari raya... and come to think of it rumah i belum kemas lagi, but ok lah takde siapa nak dtg first week raya cos normally visit yg tua dan the aunties.

langsir smalam my helper dah cuci, so i pon take the chance to put up lampu lap-lip.. nasib baik my house tak facing other blocks so takde langsir for 2 days not too bad.
today cuci cushion covers plak.. save sikit from sending to laundry service.

i think i dah lama tak encounter this.. those are macam old type you find at older supermarket and carrefour!
skarang i think dorang dah align roda dia cantik2 so jalan smooth sikit. (pandai-pandai jer)


Pasar
I conperm avoid Geylang.. in fact past many years time puasa i sengaja avoid Geylang, crowd dia takleh angz ah + budak2 yg nak air, nak makan nak pegi toilet etc. so i try to buy wateva a week or 2 before puasa.
so part pasar pon i avoid also, kat Jurong nyer pasar pon macam-macam ada - from daun ketupat to kurma to all the daging dan sewaktu dengannya..
so this Sunday i attack pasar with my mom without the kids.

nora - sama lah.. dulu macam excited first time raya rumah sendiri, sibuk betul malam raya touch itu ini.. then orang tak datang until like 2nd weekend of raya.. very the 'Chey' moment!

zu, oh you dulu duduk jurong eh... which street?
i selalu pergi pasar yg 400+ cos nearer to my house, alah jalan 5min ajer. but my mom prefer the 500+ pasar cos dia dah biasa kat sana.

best kalau raya ramai-ramai.. thats why i lepak kat my mom's during 1st day.. then 2nd 3rd day baru tengok lah mana-mana boleh merayap..

my nenek sedara (the last of that generation) passed away late last year.
and on my hb's side, his nenek also passed away a few months back.
usually 1st day raya, those 2 places will be the most kecoh ones.

i think this year, we'll just go my In-law's place. which usually takde rasa suasana raya langsung (long story).
then after lepak at my mum's.

this year is my 2nd year w/o my dad.. masih terasa the lost but i guess my mom will be the one affected most lah

Will b staying home waiting for all my siblings, uncles & auntie from my mom's side.

MIL will be in JB with my SIL..2nd day baru masuk SPore...

but for me i kena put on a brave front for my mom, my sisters and kids. tak nak lah nampak sedih sgt, nanti my mom kesian nangis lagi.

usually, my family / friends will plan in advance which day to come over, before diaorang datang i'll just put them on the serving platter, along with whatever extra food i'll order on that day.
note the word is order, not masak!
