ny mom's maid ni going back in nov, and my mother is insisting on getting another one.
she said to help jaga my boy, but i'm already prepared to send him for child care.
she said "kesian budak tu."
but to be honestkan, my mom dah biasa tak buat kerja rumah sangat.
plus my bro n sis semua malas.
diorang dah lemak.
 


Semlm I went...not so crowded...

1st time gi sana...tercari2 jugak the building with the Camel logo...bila nampak orang kita pikul berkotak2....sah lah tu tempat nye..

then tak termasuk all those sweet,macam stuff...sotong kering merah pon ade hihiih....

n that time the pakcik lun kahwin...so the pakcik 1 orang kasi $50...
 
masak for raya:-
usually my mom start masak raya eve...
pagi dia dah start...
rebus lontong &amp; siap2kan rencah...

by 5pm, at least 2 lauk dah siap.
she usually masak periuk besar...

for the past few years, i only masak 1 lauk.
my sis masak 1 lauk...
den we exchange wif mom &amp; in-laws..

aku tak tido trus on Saturday ler..my only nap at 2pm-2.30pm on Sunday..
 
this year Insya Allah nak try masak for raya..maybe masak on Friday morning..

all this while, i tak penah masak for raya..mkn umah mak and in laws..balik dpt bungkus lagik! LOL
 
for juadah raya,
my sistas insists my mom masak 2 lauk wajib dia...
lodeh &amp; sambal goreng pengantin.

over @ MIL's,
her sambal godok &amp; lodeh oso..

lauk2 lain, kita boleh take over... but these lauks, mesti nak kena
air tangan dorang....

aku bungkus for 2/3 hari punya..standard..psl tu hub ckp tak yah msk2..dan tak yah beli ayam, mana tau apek sebelah kasi ayam 3 ekor lagi..hahaha..*muka tak malu*
 
every year, me tak pernah buat kuih, tak pernah masak.
but that might just change next year...

my weekend
Sat - shopped at jurong pt for my helper's stuff (which she's bringing home for her kids) and bahan kuih.. then prep for iftar @ mom's

Sun - after 2 weeks tak sahur, at last i terbangun jugak on Sun kol 3.30.. tak tau kenapa mata macam segar semacam.. masak maggi kari lepas sahur terus adun tepung for tart nanas.. abis tu bila nak terap, the mold buat hal pulak, asyik melekat at one point.. so i give up after 1 hour

dah kol ~8 i went down to get another acuan for tat and start again at 12 after dah settle barang pasar. kol 4-6 pegi Jurong point to get dinner and fetch my d'ter from her dad.
lepas maghrib baru bakar tat, mood masih ada so i buat choc cornflakes. tido at midnight. surprisingly i feel ok now, tak penat as i expected to be.
 
notty, agak nya lah.. tahun2 lepas tak feeling camni.. but maybe cos last year i baru pindah so was so busy unpacking masa time puasa and din do any baking last year, semua order! so tahun ni bersemangat nak baking sikit.

Haha, Nora, you know when I discovered I had no talent in the kitchen?
When in sec 1 at home econs class, we had to make rock buns, and mine turned out flat like biscuit!
 
i didnt even take homec in sec sch

whn i saw the girls sewing apron or was it bathrobe
i was glad i didnt take homec

and the homec teachers at my sch looked soo uninteresting and ohbit ah
 
i'm actually ok with cooking.
but i must admit lauk melayu tak pandai langsung cos macam so complicated.
but baking, memang i fail.
basically anything that would involve any form of blending, food processing or mixing, i will just kirim salam...

actually for me, masak lauk2 biasa tu ok lah.. not dat bad and some of the lauk pun senang lah jugak.. cuma lauk yg aku tak fave tu.. i dont even bother to learn.. hahaha

I love cooking, baking, sewing &amp; cleaning! (tugas maid yg aku suka!!)
for me part masak quite a range but more towards the food that i like to eat lah.. baking still learning but i do take orders once a while when i am free.
sewing is only for langsir - part baju takde hati langsung! i sew langsir for whole house in my previous flat but eversince ada anak, nak potong kain langsir pon kena pikir 8x... so tempah jer.

haha, masak Chinese style.
lada, bawang, bawah putih, ginger etc all need to potong kecik2 aje.
tak payah kisar.
and kalau nak campur rempah, just use instant one.
modify sikit, to me still ok.
hehe.
but that's why i hardly cook.

masak is the best topic..
i hate jahit. both practical &amp; theory

teacher tak nampak ajer aku mintak tolong the guys hahahah...

my late mom was a cook...n jual kueh tradisi like rempeyek,putu kacang?,tart

every ramadhan...kena tolong buat kueh...baru dapat baju raya...

sayang i tak belajar...

i will call my sis kalau nak tahu pasal masakan melayu
 
speaking of masakan indon...
that day my mother pegi beli lauk, but i can't remember where she told me.
she asked "ada jual kari ikan tak?"
she said the girl replied "cik, kita tak jual lauk melayu, kita jual semua lauk padang."
then my mother macam boring dgn dia gitu.
heheh.
