Hello mummies. How are you guys doing? I'm seldom in here because usually tengok takde orang ajer. Doesn't seem too bad now. Masih bergerak jugak.

Lynn, I had the same experience as you. My 2nd boy pon fell off me at ard 2 months. He was sleeping on top of me after bf and I was too tired to walk to his cot. We brought him to KK and he was put under 24 observation. Warded for 1 day. After that, hubby placed the cot directly beside our bed so that I can quickly put him inside lepas bf.

Sometimes memang kita as parents ni overreact bila our kids jatuh but it's just to be on the safe side kan. As long as he's active athlete, it should be fine.

heloo Betty..
yap.. sometime we neo it nothing serious, tapi tetap tak sedap hati kan..

btw saw ur hols pic.. u guys really all-out sey, how u manage go to so many places wit 2 active tods???

Nora
alamak.. ok lah, if happen to be there will give a try..

lina

hey hey betty

ah lah this thread kena cpr baru hidup.. hehehhe

i belum tangok ur pics lagi
still a novice pat fb la

but i admire u for being able to travel with 2 kids

Heh, Lynn & Nora, we memang usually go all out for holidays. Sayang kan kalau tak visit a lot of places. Even then we scrapped Ocean Park pasal the husband and I thought that the rides there would be more for adults and our kids would be bored. I think teamwork is important. Kalau I sorang tak terdaya. The husband takes care of kids' logistics and I keep an eye on them. Anyway, my kids yang sibuk nanti nak naik train lah bus lah ferry lah. Now looking forward for another holiday next yr. Tapi dekat dekat ajer lah. Nak kena save balik.

thanks all for your advice.
just called my mum, and he's ok.

betty,
shiok ah HK.
yr boys must really enjoyed disneyland!

lynn,
yup, yup. the wanton noodles at the mini banquet kat white sands is quite gd.

Athlete, yeah the boys liked Disneyland a lot, especially seeing all the mascots but mum and dad were bored to death. Haha. I only really enjoyed the Disney parade. Very very entertaining plus the atmosphere was fantastic.

betty
e coldness over there too much tak? initially plan nak ke sana gak bt i fear for my boy ah so i told hub to cancel e idea can only go once his asthma dah ok.. coz dia tak bleh terlalu sejuk or terlalu panas ah.. fear or anytg serious might happen thus e disneylan plans is postpone till further notice hehe

Afternoon semua
Hari ni apa khabar thread? Berjalan tak? I'm back
after 2 days of leave - jaga Adam since my parents were not in town.

Betty
Good that yr kids enjoyed themselves! My in laws are in HK now. Disneyland. Tapi I tak pergi lah, dah sarat, lagipon takde budget ah. Last Dec baru pergi Japan disneyland, takkan tahun ni nak pergi lagik.haha!

Athlete
Alamak, ciannyer your boy! But it happens lah. Good to know your boy's alrite

Lynn
Adam pun jatuh time dia 2-3 mths tau! Tergolek. Yang heran, dia belum move, yet we found him on the floor crying. Haiz. Ni semua gara2 tikus yang terlepas masok in our bedroom
sad.gif

hi peah!!!!

the first time my boy jatuh from katil abt 3-4 mths i think, pun belum move move sangat
it was during ramadhan

hb was looking after him while i sahur

hb says he was looking out the window bec the dogs were barking loudly

then "THUD!" boy jatuh.. till now we dunno how he achieved that.. hahahah

nshah

kat HK different time of the year tak sejuk cam sini jugak so she be ok for ur boy

nora
i spotted a tikus, very small one in the bedroom. so i told hubby, that's it, semua tido luar hari ni. takut #1 kena nibble dgn tikus. So we put adam on the living room table (with mattress) tapi ada gap between me & him. Sekali boleh tergolek seh. I freaked out coz it was so dark. Dunno how dia boleh tergolek. Haizzzz..

Yours pasal dog, ours pasal tikus. hahah!

Nz, I timed our trip so that the weather is still ok. Was there when it was still autumn. Temp about 17-20 degrees. Mid december baru winter. Kalau takot sejuk, can always go in June right?

Smalldreams, Japan disneyland is confirmed better. Even this little HK boy my husband spoke to pun said the same thing. The husband peramah sikit. Lol. Anyway, ramai orang yang I kenal gi HK this year. 1 of my friend is there now. 2 more are going this Sunday. Even my auntie's sis pon going on Sunday as well. Seems to be a popular destination this year.

NAw
coz i noe this period lau pi mesti sejuk..
even wen tgk gbr betty je berselubung cover up smua, i wag gg like *syukur* i cancel e trip hehe.. entahlah coz i must think of e boy's condition unless he was very well we might proceed last wk, bt coz hes been hvg to much nonsense already since school close & need his pump & ubat pun nak habis so btr not take e risk lah.

betty
u went last wk kan? dat was wen we planned to go too.. hmm well good for u e weather is ok, takpelah ill go once my boy dahbesar skit coz maknya pun nak rasa e snow or see e majical disneyland turn into snow land eh?

Nz, there's no snow in HK, even in winter. Our Disneyland "Let It Snow' theme has fake snow only on one part of the main street. It's foam.
Yup, I went last week. My boys are asthmatic and we were quite worried too. But their doctors gave go ahead and surprisingly, they didn't even cough when they were there despite the weather. Came back well.
Wow, you nak book last minute flight tix tak mahal ke? We booked ours in Aug, itu pon SQ and Cathay Pacific dah sold out for our return dates.

betty
alah yg Let it Snow tu bedek? duh.. kena tipu hehe tu yg mak dia nak tgk sgt seh act..
sad.gif

yup last min booking last wk almost terjadi ah.. coz we saw e ads on MY PAPER with Cathay nya promo.. bt too me cam too ex ah sbb tu i decline e idea hehe
wow u booked last Aug? tulnya planning gd lah.. coz for us ni selalu last min ah due to hub's leave to b approved thus tak berani nak buat planning dulu takut tup2 tak jadi je
sad.gif

Betty
Good that you came back well.
My colleague pergi sana in Oct, and came back coughing like crazy. I pun naik seram, esp I'm expecting and I know that HK memang tempat orang kena H1N1. I was quite annoyed at her for being so irresponsible, and we all told her to see a doctor. Turned out, she kena bronchitis & kena MC seminggu seh. But syukur she stayed at home coz we didn't want to catch her bug.

My SIL, thru her readings on the net also said that Jap disneyland is better. I also read abt that in the newspapers. But then the entrance fees for Jap disneyland are more expensive too! Kalau tak better, tak tau apa nak cakap. Japan pun ada Disneysea, sebelah disneyland. I thought Disneysea was really good too. Tapi the queues for rides at both Disneys are a killer lah. Dah lah winter, menggigil seh.

I think you pergi when your boys at this age, just nice. Dorang dah boleh appreciate the stuff in disneyland. Were the souvenirs there expensive? Did they have cute little buckets to put refillable popcorns?
happy.gif

Nshah
it makes sense to book earlier esp during holiday seasons. But then again if rezki you, you can find real bargains for last min bookings too.

smalldreams
yes mmg earlier planning or booking is good bt then like i mention, my hub's leave tak senang utk diapprove, he need to apply way advance of like 3-5mths utk peak period lagi, so if dah buat booking earlier & dah byr say 70% kan rugi if tak dpt pegi.. well not all company approve leave easily babe esp during school holidays..

Smalldreams, yeah I was kind of apprehensive also especially after H1N1 tapi I think the people there are more responsible tau. You see people who are unwell wearing masks and all. On the streets, on the way to work.
Yeah, we intended to go last year but my 2nd one masih kecil sangat. Dia cuma tau Mickey jer. So now is just nice. Souvenirs boleh buat orang gila. Haha. So many cute things. We spent quite a bomb there la. Mostly for my little cousins and nieces. This Sunday, my friend is going. I nak kirim dia something that I missed out buying. Lol. The prices are something like sg. A pen costs about SGD7. I didnt notice the buckets though.

NZ, our holiday plans memang in advance. Our most last minute trip was Langkawi last year, even that was 1+ month in advance. Flight tickets semua melambung. Serik. No more last minute.

Nshah
if that's the case, too bad lah, can't help it.
Or, you could go without going thru travel agents. book everything on your own. Even itinery plan sendiri.

Bettybad
then maybe HK takde benda buckets tu. Coz kat Japan, there are many pushcarts all around disneyland, selling popcorns for about $16 per tub. The tubs come in super cute characters - ada Jurassic park etc. Can refill with popcorn for about $5-6 gitu I think. Tapi I tak beli seh. Coz my son was too small for popcorn, and also, I didn't want clutter. Now thinking back, cam menyesal tak beli. haha. Can use to put toys when we're back home.

Yes, I love the souvenirs too! I beli mickeymouse nail clipper - agaknye abt $7-8. Haha! I like practical souvenirs lah. Pens are good too. They were also about $7, but I bought plenty for my friends as souvenirs.

Haiz..gerek betul berholiday ni eh... trouble-free...cuma pocket je kena penuh ...kekeke...

Yeah, NZ, go free and easy. Book sendiri murah sikit. I booked everything myself too. No agents.

Smalldreams
I bought those pens with the MM head for my colleagues too. Too cute to resist. Last minute at the HKIA, the husband bought the Mickey and Minnie mugs for ourselves. Haha, to be used in our new home.

Betul betul holiday memang gerek. Nak save up tu yang makan masa.

Athlete,

My office is at Lower Delta Road (imagine travelling all the way from Bedok Reservoir).

But I'll be leaving soon.

lina
I'm not sure where Betty stayed, tapi i rasa kalau you tinggal dekat dgn a mosque, it should be easy to find halal food.

Time kat jepon, I didnt find a single halal food stall
sad.gif
So sad. I knew there were some around some train stations tapi I tak sempat nak carik. Usually we bring along a travel cooker & cook something simple for lunch.

pandai2 & tawakkal aje lah. when i was in jepun, apa2 yang seafood, i makan aje. Even sushi. I makan tapi tak mabok pun...hehehe... so maybe there was no rice wine? tsk tsk.. *whoops*

Lina you nak gi mana for holiday?
Kalau nak halal, gi Maldives. Muslim country.
Semua halal (except wine :p)

Kak Zainab
jadi you back to taking care of your cucu lah ni after quitting
happy.gif

Lina, not too difficult to find halal food in HK. But you've gotta travel. We always plan our route so that we can start and end the day at a halal restaurant. None within the walking distance though unless you stay in Tsim Sha Tsui. My husband doesn't like Indian or Mediterranean food so we travel via MTR to other restaurants.

smalldreams...u can read my mind lah...

my dream holiday is maldives...
since small i love the sea....
i even skip school oops...n went to the changi\east coast.....

hmmmm tapi for now i simpan dulu hasrat tu....
