Ok since Mummy Watie pun da tanya any gathering tak? Can we arrange a potluck mini raya gathering for SMH mummies at my humble abode nak tak? I pun belum jemput anyone to my house. if this weekend im fine cause i have no other plans

hello sumer!
Just want to share that I felt conned when i did subscribe to MIO before. Channels yg dah sedia ada sumer movies / drama lama. Kalo nak channels yg best2, bayar ++++. Not only must you pay for the box, but kalo wireless connection kat dlm umah tak bagus, they need to install this box-like gadget yg mcm router. more $$ and uses electricity too.
MIO sucks!

My dad received an invitation call last few days 4 MIO trial up to 2mths. Till now, we arent able to watch any channels. Kalau ada pon, nanti picture mcm "semut-semut". Unclear...*sigh*

precisely! then their side will say that you need to install this gadget lah, that gadget lah! sumer $$$$. And they are not tranparent abt this. Biler dah sign up, then we 'discover' that ourselves.
lepas 1 bulan, i terminated the contract coz i got so pissed.

I so agree abt them not being transparent.
That time they had pple knocking on doors offering "free" mio tv.
After asking so many questions, i found out that only the installation is free!
The channels and the hardware must pay monthly!
So nonsense!!
Anyway, all this is just a move by the MDA to so-call promote "competition" in the media industry to eliminate monopolising.
But didn't they learn their lesson from the Mediaworks disaster?
Bottomline, Singapore is too small a population for so many media outlets.
Eventually, somthing's gotta go.
Sorry for the rant...

Just had lunch & plenty of kuih lapis & kuih tapak kuda (nutella roll). still on MC today. hidung masih stuck! With the kuih I've been eating, nasib lah kalau tak dapat batuk next.

So nice of you to offer! Seems this isn't a good weekend for most of us. I pun cam San, masih ada rumah nak kena pergi. Dah lah last weekend I escape, sebab cuma pergi a few houses then on Sunday my hubby's family came over.

I hate this silly tug of war between singtel & starhub. The rich gets richer while consumers like us get stuck in between. I don't think we should succumb to singtel. can't stand them. Selamat I tak switch over to Singtel when my HP contract ended. I rasa, kalau stay away from them pun bagus. Gross! (ala Paris hilton)

The kids channel are THAT boring?! That's sad. Just a few days before hari raya, hubby upgraded to the hubstation yang boleh record punye. I told him to remove the CNN channels and replace with playhouse disney instead. yes, I finally sucumbed to having cable channels for my 2 yr old. Tsk tsk..

Semalam baca Straits Times Home section tak? sheng shiong dah beli the whole area of the serangoon area markets jadi orang2 semua boring coz nanti dah takde wet market. Kesian the small stall holders kena move out and wouldn't know mana nak carik makan since their shop space kena buy over from the giant supermarket chain.

NTUC pun ada kan. Tapi if u buy the fresh chicken, u kena potong sendiri. Tu yang I tak sanggup.
My mom will always go to market, or NTUC if they have better deals. I segan at times when I do my grocery shopping at cold storage or Giant, coz things are so much more exp there compared to if I beli from geylang market.

now I feel like having indian food tonight. Maybe call brinda's for delivery unless ada any other suggestions!

for me if beli ayam sekor kind then i die2 have to go market cos i tak pandai potong..jadi will just ask the pakcik/makcik to potong for me.
if i just wana buy wings then ntuc or shengsiong can go if emergency ah..but usually will still buy about 1-2kg wings from market as its much cheaper.</font>

this weekend considered my last week of raya cos next weekend on sat i will fly off to terengganu.
will be there till tues.
