But of course nothing beats having our own hard earned cash to spend any way we want.
I hope you get a job soon. Online businesses are too abundant already, unless we can think of a niche market, it's really quite hard to earn much $$ online these days...

Smalldream, same as me. Aku tak tahu kenapa this year my financial very bad.. Last year was great tau. I manage to save $3K. Walaupun tak byk, dpt jugak aku saving. Now dah kering pun bank. Nak kena start FRESH.. Sigh* Tu sebab tahun nie me and hubby takder baju baru. Baju and kasut Maya pun orang kasi tau. Haiz. Tapi i tak segan lah. I rasa bersyukur cos ada orang yg lebih susah daripada i. At least i still have a roof over my head, food to eat and clothes to wear.
Kekadang tu envy jugak tgk korang kat sini, beli barang like bag COACH lah, go on SPREE for your kids..hmmm... sedih pun ada, tapi i'm just grateful with what i have. Lain pulak dgn my younger brother's family. Very loaded, baby is coming in Dec, buat langsir sampai $1K, pergi travel to Batam during weekends, and travelling to Australia for holidays.. Takper, i'm truly happy for them. But my bro nie mulut ada laser sikit, cos he ever hurt my feelings by saying that i'm always at my mum place and that me and family always eating free food. Very sedih seh bila dia ckp gitu. I know it was a joke, tapi aku EMO giler...

The thing is, I've always had freelance jobs to maintain my own income, but like I've said, the freelance market is sooo bad now, that eventually, I have to look at full-time jobs soon.
I must admit, I'm not very business-minded, and am v bad with numbers and figures.

Smalldreams, thanks for asking. My business so far is very quiet. Takder orang pun yg beli. Tgk2 ada. But i guess everybody is busy with Raya preparation. Saper lah nak pergi beli barang aku for raya... Lain lah kalau aku jual kerepek ker...kuih muih.. LOL..
Im still new lah. No worries. Need to buck-up on my marketing strategy. I pun ada slack sikit during nak raya nie... too busy.

Dah dah...jangan nak emo2...hehehe... we all have our ups & downs per. U're rite, at least you masih ada roof over your head - your basic needs are still being met. Hari raya is not about having all things new.
I think I'm a bit broke since I went for my Japan trip last year. Sampai sekarang susah nak re-save balik the amt I spent. Plus, I also used to buy a lot of stuff through sprees. It may not be a lot, but those add up to yr monthly expenditure! So I dah slow down recently unless I really need the item.
One of my hub's cousin is a homemaker & her hub makes big bucks! always ada bag baru. Envy! Tapi ni rezki masing2 lah eh. She's a very nice person and we really enjoy her company. But I'm just a working class, dah cukup duit nak kasi mak bapak, kasi family makan cukup lah...
Actually You have to be aggressive when you do online selling. Add people to yr list, advertise etc. And your stuff needs to be different. Other sellers also can sell the same stuff, cheaper coz they got bulk power. Jadi kalau kita tak boleh offer competitive prices, siapa nak beli kan?

I'm also bad with numbers & I'm damn slack with posting out items. Once I organised a spree coz ada free shipping, tapi I lambat sekali nak post the item out. There were pple who were unhappy! I know lah I ni lambat, tapi eh I thought, eh international shipping dah free pon nak complain ke...hehehe..

And the time you spend washing the nappy. Silap hari bulan, jadi depressed aku - rambut tak tersikat, siang malam cuci lampin.
But of course the benefits to the eartn are a lot.
I do wonder though, how much difference can I make in saving the earth.

<font color="119911">i did use lampin for my 1st born n my mum tukang berus, cuci, then i told her tak yalah , cian seh nak kena cuci everyday tu lampin, so i tell her ill jus buy diapers je coz she noes how tight i am, she said takpe biarlah umi berkorban utk cucu sulung ni.. bt syukur rezeki irfan melimpah aft we were visited by my collgs, berduyun2 diapers came in from them syukur.. thus my umi said, bertuah sungguh cucu sulung ku ni eh.. syukur mudah-mudahan dia akan membuat org senang suatu hari nanti insyallah</font>

actually i regret having them.
cos they were all bought when i had a full-time job.
and then i heard a financial adviser saying that actually, if you're young(ish), relatively well with no serious illness, insurance is a waste of money.

to me, insurance is very important. for my whole family, each of us have at least two plans
- one life insurance, yang cover for critical illnesses, etc. this one will mature in abt 40 years, so i get back all my premiums, insya Allah. so this one pun i treat like savings.
- one personal accident, yang will cover for any accidents. this one tak ada returns, tapi monthly pun murah. kalau i'm invovled in an accident, they will cover my medical fees, and if hospitalised, i'll get abt $100 per day just for staying in hospital.
that's for the adults. for my boy, i tambah one more plan - for education. it will mature when he is 21 for his to study. tapi kalau dia tak nak belanjar (!!!) the money goes to me! hahahaah!

tapi masyaAllah..after awhile i'm too lazy to cuci..especially dah after 1 yr old ni dah start eating more adult like food jadi the poo koosemangat..tak boleh tahan beta.
so i revert back to disposable diapers but now can lax sikit..
i bought thru bp so much cheaper but now too much diapers in my store sampai my hubby cakap kat faiq.."mummy ada banyak sangat diapers..sampai boleh tampal buat decorate kat wall..nanti perang faiq selamat ada diapers, susu semua dalam store..daddy jugak yug kebulur.."

when my son was born the week after, he signed up so many insurance for us..basically we are covered ah..hehe
recently pun he upgraded my medical insurance to one that covers labour difficulties and newborn abnormalities.</font>
