yup... above 35 kena amik.
in fact, time i pregnant kan mika oso dia suruh amik.
but i taknak...
- just sharing -
when i was pregnant, hubby make it a point to baca ayatul kursi, al-fateha, 3Qul on my tummy.
habis baca, he will say goodnite, sleep tight. followed by his faveret line,"gi carik a comfy corner & sleep, kay."
after which i can feel foetus move, den stop.
it was only after i gave birth, dat i read if we amalkan ayatul kursi, mata anak besar & alert....
yup... above 35 kena amik.

To me also I tak kisah if it's a Dec 09 or Jan 10 baby. I think lambat laun, sure dorang will be the same cognitively kan? Maybe time baby, toddlerhood ada difference, tapi later on, should be the same.
My MIL, who's a teacher, said it's better for baby to be born in Dec, as long as full term. She said kalau Jan baby, nanti he/she will be too old in the class. Tapi her explanation just doesn't cut it for me. In other words, I still don't get what she told me.

alhamdulillah she said faiq takde adhd or any other learning difficulties or emotional disabilities.

A study shows that ADHD very common and higher in malays den other races.
rupanya the cause - mom puasa at a certain stage of the pregnancy.
i cant remember which stage.
dats y when kita breastfeed/pregnant kita takyah puasa. but still, kalau nak puasa pun tak salah.

If I remember correctly, ADHD ni boleh co-morbid dgn other symptoms.
Ada banyak theories on what causes ADHD, ada neuro reasons, ada biological reasons etc.
Tapi eh, I pun agree with you, I'd prefer an active child. An active child means the child has good metabolism, and is learning well too. Kalau budak sluggish, that'll be more worrying.
Active & Attention deficit ada banyak beza tau.
ADHD is mostly when a child tak leh focus on a task given. So don't worry too much if Mika is hyper, as long as he can focus on his tasks, insya-Allah there's no issue

oh issit? maybe i dgr salah info fr my friend....tapikan at 1st the mother cam cannot accept when my friend told her...
coz like u mentioned...time dia toddler....budak nie suke main sendiri even when they r kids ard n doing the same activity over and over and over again....
but bila dah umur 9 years...n the teacher advise...at last dia(the mother) terima jugak....kenyataan

hmm, must be devastating for yr friend... tapi autism ni, ada yang savants - they have very high IQ. It's really amazing if you read up on the savant syndrome. Ada got photographic memory & can produce a painting sebijik like the original picture. </font>

today topik pasal autism, adhd.
last time wen i was teaching in kindergarten, my fren nye class ade tis boy. he got ADHD and mild autism. kesian my fren jaga budak tu smp tulang blakang got prob cos he was too hyper! at times kene tolak by the boy.. and th boy also slalu gigit kawan2 dia. its not easy having a classmates that are special. and i understand tat many cc skrg are accepting these students. the mom also takle terima anak dia special... cos he look totally fine, unlike down syndrome. and handsome plak tu... i tink kalo im the mom, maybe i cnt accept too...

sometimes studies ni takleh pakai... cos they take in general...
Mika has very short attention span. and certain characteristics is like soooo ADHD!
tak kira lah... so long dah besar jadi orang, i hepi..

Mika to me sounds like a bright boy, always questioning etc. Budak lelaki kalau tak sound like ADHD, memang lah tak tau apa nak cakap.

dunno how to communicate and tak suke makan
but suke makan kat banquet jer.. funny kan
She went to those assessment at KKh.. cakap anak dia ok

kesian yg minority. mcm tak 'normal'.
mika very hyper, we susah nak catch up.
but we monitor him very closely.
eg. he tak bleh penat. once dah penat, tak nap, instead of lepak, he would push himself further.
makin hyper, bounce, jump, run.
but bec dah penat, his attntion haywire. dats wen accidents happens.

my family takder boys. so wen mika came along, susah for all to understand. takes time.
now they can accept why mika behave a certain way, and why i'm anal when ppl dont follow my instructions.
