They really got money type bec he told hb yg they got 2 other landed properties which they rent out.

4.3k a month is wow (mata dua2 ada $$ sign - cam shahlynn time dia jual macademia yoghurt)! Tapi eh, my jiran pun let out her apartment for about $3k a mth, and it's not even a landed property. Kalau ada expats, sure dorang mampu bayar per.Kecuali expats dr korea...dorang kena gulung tikar balik negeri...</font>

Interesting eh..I got nothing to share pasal jiran I semua sederet melayu..&amp; all kept to their own biz..semua pintu tutup jer bila dapat jumpa setakat hi &amp; bye saje.
Bila puasa tukar2 juadah bila raya pulak rasa meriah pasal visiting non stop sederet ni..kadang rumah detu punya visior balik,mine pulak sampai, mine balik jiran tepi punya saudara pulak sampai..kadang bila org beri salam, the whole corridor keluar kat pintu thinking that another visitor datang tapi paiseh bukan! LOL!!

he sewa rumah from HDB, thou he can afford to buy.
but he chose to sewa, and at the same time, he kumpul his CPF money.... cukup ajer, he terus bayar full.

riverina also not freehold, near to pasir ris only the area yg mariam way and SOME (not all) units at pasir ris beach jer yg freehold.

Yup thats what I heard la..bila dulu back in 2002 when hubby looking for a house for his family's investment, ur area is not a freehold.
Ur neighbour bought 1.2K for 99 and they gave u a statement like that? Sorry to say but i think they made a wrong move kan coz we got a freehold for 700k corner terrace. Sekarang 2 rooms atas we sewakan to expats and the attic we revamped to full equipment licensed salon for my sis in law to operate.
Ur neighbour wanted to rent for $4.3k a month, are they in a right state of mind?

Now I think property tak boleh naik so much like back in those years eh..
I remember a private property bought at 400k (a corner terrace) then sold for 1.4 million..those days when property tgh boom.
 
Another neighbour 2 doors down bought and renovated habis habisan
tinggal the walls ajer yg original
semuer tukar, even the facade of the house
now their house sticks out like sore thumb..
i really dun see the value add to the reno works done

yep.. those times are over la.. our generation tak dapat rase

at least time our parents they buy cheap, my dad bought paris masionette $129,000.
then sell at $400plus.. wow.. dapat rase
now where got...

thats why sometimes tengok org belik condo cam tak worth it.
might as well get masionette or EA.

memang lah tak worth it beli condo. To me, better beli rumah besar sikit, kalau ada2 govt payout pon at least dapat jugak.

tapi some pple go for the security etc so, masing2 lah i guess.

Rezeki 2002 la..after sold way the old property wanted to get another cheap freehold so can pay all and make it as an investment. Really rezeki la dpt tht price at that time.
