Yes, My elder girl will take O level this year, she want to "participate" DSA to JC. She only know abt ACJC. Ask my opion but I also not so sure leh.... That why I need opion here.

I was from acjc as a student. Admission to JC now very competitive due to the integrated programmes. 14 points cannot guarantee place in St Andrews wor! DSA seems like a good choice.

Is St Andrews JC good? My girl's sch is Affiliated to this JC.

I feel that all JCs are the same. When it comes to academics, very rigorous. ACJC, maybe its d culture that they have, brought over from ACS / MGS. Very together, CCA very competitive and there's always some kind of events that students have to organise...

I heard now St Andrews on par with other top JCs. Affiliated good eh, bonus 2 points! Ur gal doing Higher mother tongue or third language? another bonus 2 points!

My daughter doing Higher mother tongue. How CCA are you in when you are ACJC? Is the Band good? Does CCA help when you go to University?

Lets say ur daughter got 12 points....

Higher mother tongues - minus 2 points
Go to SAJC (affiliated) - minus 2 points
CCA - minus 1 point (only for certain CCA grades --> dis one i'm so sure but we just put it at 1 pt lah..)

So she will enter SAJC being a 7 pointer... the cut off points will affect whether she can take Science or Arts course in SAJC.


I was in school's team air rifle. Not sure abt band though. Then again, doggone years ago lah...

When applying to enter to NUS/NTU, i remembered having to fill up a page in the application form meant for CCA records in secondary school and JC... during my time, it seems the more impressive CCA records the better, gives u an edge over another student who have same aggregate but no CCA... but now, not sure leh. I gotta find out too.

nowadays, alot of secondary school students doing conversational malay or chinese (third language) as one of their subjects too. If pass, get 2 bonus points.

When my second girl was being rejected when she report to the Sec sch. Not sure what is the reason. When PSLE result come out said she is qualify and I choose to let her try but report to sec sch and know cannot get. If like that then in first place don't offer.

that intake was based on prelim results. But starting 2008, no more oreadi due to many disadvantages. So MOE scrapped it. All dos entering JC will start at same time. Even if have students start JC earlier it will be dos in the integrated programmes.

IC... but dats strange?? Coz usually if the school don have the resources / staff to teach third language, they can always send her to attend the programme in another school which runs it.

Are you "laughing" at my daughter? She is not good which I know it very well. I just mean that Govt should not qualify her at first and reject her later. some children will feel bad abt it.

Yesterday all my family were shocked to see me back home. Thinking I was either on sick leave / 1/2 day leave.

I sat as usual and meddle with my BB since I'm working from home. My dad rebus kacang and brought some vitagens and ice-cream later.

My prnts are very open and tak lokek when comes to food. Apa yg ada, everyone can eat. My dad offer my maid kacang rebus + ice cream.

Indeed she took and sat beside my son watching MR BEAN. I just watched her all e way while replying emails. At night, I told hub abt it that she even DARE to do infront of me and mind you, my dad SWEPT the floor before her! She only make her way to find a mop after my dad mentioned, "Jap lagi ayah nk keluar dgn ibu. Nak ambil baju Bewa yg ayah tempah utk Ibu. Rmh blom mop tau Ana."

I trashed out all my words yg byk sgt I simpan. I think dia pon terasa + bingit pon ada. In e end, I brought my sons out for a haircut (my sons dah mandi tapi tetap I nk gi kedai guntingkan rambut dorang) with my sis and hunt for Harith's farewell tabung. Managed to get the Disney's character which Nora R shared with us that day.

Balik jer, I told her to mandikan my boys.
Today morning, I reminded her AGAIN. Apa yg ada kat atas meja HAVE to clear up. Ada air atau tidak, she hv to clear. Next, once my boy's aslp..she hv to sweep e floor and mop. Help out to wipe some dusts on e grills etc since e minor reno just end. Once all done, she cn help my mom with e cookings if my mom's still in e kitchen.

So far, all's done when I call my mom. Hopefully, it'll stay tis way. Kalau asyik berlagu, haiz...nak kena stock up COKE tiap-tiap bulan...kwang3x!</font>

More reasons for me to go shopping aft work...ku nak cari baju pink!! end up beli 3 tops and 2 bottoms..sigh...

Agaknya dah terlebih cuci mata sampai mata ku rasa so uncomfortable..dah ku balik kelam kabut naik teksi psl dah rasa semacam sangat, blurry vision..bila balik tengok cermin, rupanya dah berbonjol pon! ala ala drug allergy gitu...now masih bengkak..ape yg aku makan?? kropok lekor ke?? ke baju2 yg ku try try tu...

ntahlah...masih jadi satu tanda tanya...</font>
