eee...thank u so much...I really appreciate ur input and the feedback on me really makes me happy and smiling now..I always tot i am a lousy mum not doing hard enuf for my kids...

yup, betol he only have academic problems...Insya-Allah, i talk with his cikgu, teacher and anyone who could help my son...

By sharing ur experiences would help all mommies here to handle their kids better....</font>

ooops it's me again...

sajer nak share a parenting tip that i learnt from my principal on how to inculcate good learning behaviour in young children. She has 3 daughters. Eldest doing medicine, 2nd in RJC, youngest just entered RGS.

Her tip is to have a proper study table in the house, not kitchen table or coffee table in living room etc. Train the kid to sit at the table and do and complete homework there. For young kids, they can do their pre-nursery books or drawings /scribblings etc. Start as young as possible and do it everyday if possible. This is to help develop self-discipline.

i find that it makes sense in sumways, coz many children nowadays 5 mins oso can't sit still and focus to do homework... coz not train mah? rite?

Thanks Sabrina... i think that is a good advise.. I will try to cultivate that in Maya soon. So far, my 16mth old daughter loves books and newspapers. Sebab dia tgk orang baca. For now she is learning how to hold a pen and scribble on papers..

thanks for the tips! ya lah it's hard to engage young kids these days. Gotta train them. If I give my 21 mth old crayon, he'll only be at it for about 5 mins, then he'll find something else to conteng. sighs...

Alahai you ni buat i paiseh aje tau. Apa lah tips yang I boleh kasi....hmm..I think Sabrina has given good tips already, and since she's a teacher, am sure the tips would work, insya-Allah.

How about setting some kind of structure - eg, bila dia balik, dia kena show his homework, and also, since he's so young, you might want to have a time when all your kids can do their homework together. That way, you can ensure his homework is done. If you haven't tried that, that is

Can also explain that mula2, one can start forging signature, then later one may start doign things which are more serious. So before that comes, encourage him to think of the consequences before doing any action. Hope that helps

seems that you've tried a lot. Just befriend him, and rules are rules okie! That's important. tak boleh tukar2 rules - eg curfew can get later and later.

Semalam ada sapa2 tengok desperate housewives?
