My pils took a certain sum (kalau i'm not mistaken ard RM20K) to save in Maybank M'sia ...then last yr due to recession the wanna close the acct...I was shocked when the staff told them that their closing bal is RM18K+...huh ye ye lah orang tua tu ingatkan ada interest coz they have been saving the money for more than 3 yrs...then only we came to know dat m'sia banks do not practice interest

Actually islamic banking is good. I don't know much about it, tapi mat salleh2 ramai yang nak tap upon this system. Tak gunakan riba, semua keuntungan dikongsi. Tak macam sekarang - manusia dah jadi tamak. kalau profits turun aje, orang kena buang keje... tsk...

read in the papers some time ago. some big shot from arab said dat the world economic crisis happened coz of the interests practiced by banks.
interests = dunia jadi tamak.
