About snoring.. Stress and lendir can caused snoring. But you boleh ask your hubby to take note of your sleeping habits. For me.. i tak pernah snore so loud and tak sadar kan diri. But recently after giving birth to Maya, my habits change due to hormone dlm badan kita nie berubah.
My husband sampai tido in the living room cause i snore kuat giler!! Dia kejut pun i tak sadar. And when i go to work, i can easily fall asleep infront of the computer. Imagine, sambil kerja or meeting, i terdoze off and snore abit tau! Malu aku. So i went to the doctor to check.
Apparently, i have OSA. It's "Obstructive Sleep Apnea*. Your air passage is blocked by and extra skin dekat daerah throat. It's sound funny but it's quite dangerous tau. Cos when orang yg suffering from OSA sleeps, they go to a very deep sleep, and then after a few times they breath, they will stop breathing for awhile.
In adult, it's not so dangerous, tapi in children you all kena take note.. Kadang2 kita ingat anak kita nie penat, tapi you nak kena perhati betul2, cause this is one of the cause of death especially in toddlers due to the stop breathing thingy.
NUH mentioned that the number of children checking in for OSA is increasing.
So kalau you suffer from OSA, go to Polyclinic, ask to be referred to hospital. At the hospital they will study you by asking you to sleep over and they will tgk your breathing pattern and all.
They will might ask you to lose weight or wear this special mask at night. Hehehe. Kelakar mask dia.
