haha... nak kasi u my opinion pasal nursing bra coz i totally agree with u, a branded nursing bra can be expensive. Different mothers have different experiences. For me, the breastmilk only came in like a few days after delivery. So I didn't even bring any nursing bra. Usually, in hospital, the nurse will bring your baby to you so frequently for feeding such that u wont have time to experience engorgement or leaking. hahaha!!

faiq has 1 tooth on his lower gums...2 above and 1 more below are coming out...
dia teething and sick at the same time...mummy yg losing sleep...

some people say giving goat's milk can make a child chubby..
dont know how true is that for i have never tried.

so far alhamdulillah i have not rasa any back pain or any side effect due to epidural...
tak tau pulak biler dah older nanti eh...

i bought a simple nursing bra, other times i just wear the normal ones without any underwire.
actually, some items are not a must to buy.

usually i use boiled vege then mixed wif nasi and blend together so tak yah nak masak til jadi poridge safe time and the gas too...and frost in the fridge can last abt a week its depend how much nasi yg u blend...

nursing bras:
where to get comfy ones with underwire? I tried only OTO n mothercare n la senza.

la senza: my fave but now they dunt carry anymore. ;( i bought 3 during their sale (3 for $44), now mostly worn out. kept asking my cousin who works there but she said dunt have anymore.. so sad.
The bras are closest to normal bra. padding thickness just nice with underwires and the clips are small so very easy to unclip for breastfeed. good for tight tees.

if la senza have nursing bra.. i already buy n dunt need to ask for recommendations..

i feel nursing bras cannot last from preg until ur kid wean off. surely need to change coz breast size will change. so feel macam kena cheated by salesgirls who say dunt need to buy anymore once u buy a good ones.

i tried the method of freezing n the food become hard like rock n take some time to defrost so i just put in the normal frige. my mum said can last 5 days like dat.
do u give fish to faiq? i tried fillet like salmon n cod fish. give abit only. i will sometimes eat the rest coz dunt wanna waste. ahaha.
ayuni quite fussy. she dunt want milk based cereals anymore. recently my aunt cook for her porridge n add the blended veg, then only felt she gain weight a bit more. i dunt track her weight.

dunt need to use hand blender also can. i got but nv use, find it more troublesome. can either parut for fruits or fruit juice or cook veg until soft then mash and sieve. for veg i always mash n sieve. abit hard work but i will make about 3 tablespoon like dat n keep in small container. prolly need to mix a teaspoon with porridge.

tadi pagi i baru bawak boy see Dr Zainal. He's been coughing and fever since saturday. sunday we brought him to see gp bec Dr Zainal tak open on sunday. the fever is under control tapi the phlegm keeps him (AND MUMMY) awake at night. Just now PD said he got early bronchitis, but nasib baik tadi tak pakai nebuliser, kalau tak leceh i nak hold him still bec hb is travelling. He's been so cranky, i takde modal lain, put him in the car and drive around..

also bought karvol just now, hopefully he sleeps better tonite (AND MUMMY).

Nursing bra: I bought, but end up never use, bec i tak suke bra with padding... waste money je.

i same like lynzi, siang siang dah declare dgn gynae, tu epi sure thing punye... tak yah last minute tanye tanye.... kalau bole i register aje kat labour ward terus pasang. But i must say the process was megerunkan, sampai sekarng kalau ingat balik i shudder.

u freeze using normal ice cubes storage or the baby cubes?
cos i used baby cubes and if nak defrost and heat up i onli take out 1 cube and it takes very fast to defrost it...just put it in abowl of warm water.
can also use the bottle warmer to warm it up.
so far i have not given faiq any porridge yet.
tot wana do brown rice prridge and mix with threadfin and veg.

yah...when kids sick mak yg sakit kepala.

the doc will check and ask u on the child's condition.
then she will write on paper in chinese the ailments your child is having and pass to the massuer.
after that, the massuer will massage your child.
nampaknya alhamdulillah faiq's cough has lessen a lot...now if he's cold je he will cough once or twice...and no more running nose and flu.

one tip is to bring child's favourite toy or books so the child can be distracted with something else while the massage is being done.
cos some kids cannot sit still for long and some are even not receptive to stransgers massaging them.
ada yang cry thruoughout the whole massage...macam kena pukul gitu.

actually if u already boiled the vege or buat soup u can blend it wif nasi yg baru masak together wif the soup and vege....if its still to thick u add more soup lah...jgn lah kasi keras like batu just put at normal fridge for lunch and dinner...

i went thru c-sect with epi. so i dunno if its the same for those yg took for normal birth. so kat OT after they bogel kan u, they ask u to sit up, hug a pillow, then i got two nurses to hold me still. Kept teling me dun move, but i was shivering pasal rase sejuuuk sekali. after the initial stage kan, u tak rase pain tapi u will feel ade bende dorang masukkan at ur spine. it feels like a wire moving moving... i was scared that kalau i termove ape akan jadi...
 
usually 1st time labour takes up to 10hrs eh? i dgr2 if 1st time, sure lama nye.... entah betul ke tidak cz one of my fren, her 1st time labour only 2hrs.. so lucky...

Not so. My first time, I was induced at 1030pm. 1115 pm dah rasa close contractions. Nurse smua tak percaya but when I told them it's 5 minutes apart, then they rushed me down to labour ward. The pain memang extreme. Dgr epi ade side effect so I only ambik the gas. At 0416am I gave birth to my daughter, Darling.
But my second one, Doctor Ang yg predict I will deliver at noon. Tak rasa sakit apa apa pun the day before. I macam skeptical dgn Dr Ang sebab dia suruh I admitted the day before. Skali betul, the next morning pukul 1100am dah rasa contraction. Itu pun I sempat mandi kat labour ward. Ini kali dah mentally prepared. So at 0326pm Baby Mel was delivered. Itu pun kena vacumm sebab the umbilical cord was around her neck.
Now I breastfeed them. So save banyak. Tak payah beli botol susu and formula. If u experience breast engorgement, u ambik tuala, rendam dgn air panas. Lepas tu perah, u tekap kat ur breast, insyaallah u rasa lega.

For my placenta, hospital i kasi my hubby. Not sure cuci tak.. then balik my hubby and mum balik cuci bersih2 and then tanam kat masjid punyer backyard.

My 3 kids nye placenta i tanam lagi jauhhhh hehehhe at my in-law hse kat Pahang...bawah pokok cherry....bila dah cuci bersih, mixed wif everything yg nak dimixedkan....kebetulan bila dah siap....mesti ada one of my relative nak ke pahang so i kirim ler the placenta...

i dont tink so all 1st time labour takes long time. my fren labour tak sampai 1/2hrs. dia sampai je labour wad duduk atas katil terus bb kluar.. doc pun tak sempat datang.

As for me, i had very long labour. i masuk labour wad on friday 10pm and induce, ard 6am den my gynae pecahkan my water bag and take epi after dat.. i takde rasa any contraction until the doc said it time for labour. i was shock cos i tak rasa apa2 due to epi. den they slowing lower the dose and ard 4pm baru i rasa sakit every 5min. i start to push sampai kul 6.30pm and doc tanya nak pakai vacumm tak cos bb head besar lah. dah pakai vacumm baru bb dapat kluar at 6.55pm.. ohhh punya lah penat rasa mcm nak give up je at dat time.. my bb consider quite big he 3.4kg at birth... tapi alhamdullilah semua sihat the next day on sunday 12noon i dah balik rumah..

Btw u just relax je lah dont tink so much.. kita bukan nak takutkan u but just to share experience. lain org lain cerita..

Hello hello all, especially to the new ones.

Hello Wati and Sri, I'm a mummy to 2 boys. PTWM.

Sri, don't worry. Not all 1st time labour lama. For my 1st, I masuk labour ward at 9+ and I gave birth at 1pm. Amik epidural at 11+am pasal dgr ni orang orang ckp labour lama sekali less than 2 hrs baby dah kluar.

2nd one masuk at 2pm, gave birth at 10pm. Tapi sebenarnya contractions pon tak rasa. They admit me because my waterbag was leaking. I rasa contractions at 8+, amik epidural at nearly 9pm, then gave birth at 10+.

Both times took epidural tgh contractions rabak so imagine how the nurses and hubby had to hold on to me because when they insert the needle, you are not supposed to move at all. Both times, I scolded myself pasal buang duit amik epi. Hehe. Sekejap pun sekejaplah, the pain time contractions tu, tuhan sajer yg tau.

Anyway, we didn't bring home the placenta. Not sure if it's on MUIS website or my friend, at the time, enquired with MUIS. They clarified that it is not a must to bury the placenta.

I wen to birth course by Four Trimesters, they show us birth videos. This place emphasis on natural birth, and natural pain relief. ( try no drugs) Wah nampak senang seh. The mummies tak pekik pun, nampak stress lah tapi boleh handle. ada juga mum yg cakap 'tak boleh, tak boleh. then the baby come smoothly. so impresssed tengok.

2 of my classmates were 2 mums who didnt have gd first birth. so second birth came for class. dua-dua second birth so fast and smooth tak sempat sampai hospital dah beranak ;)

I cant say abt mine coz mine terus C-secion pasal complications.mine pun drama. baby's heartbeat was gone for a while when I vommited during the treatment which to get my high bld pressure down. so terus ermergency c-section

Sri, i will doa for your delivery. For me, i had 13 hrs of labour for my 1st one.. Dlm hati memang nak rasa natural birth mcm mak-mak kita... Tapi alahai, come to the 7th hour, dah tak bleh tahan.. Macam nak mati seh..(As if i know how mati feels like).. hehehe

Anyway, after baby keluar, i ada complications. My placenta tak turun. So doctor masukkan tangan korek placenta tu.. dah berderai-derai my placenta.

Orang tua2 ckp pakai tali-pinggan kat perut. Sri, you boleh try.

hi all, dah 11/2 day tk duk depan pc...smalam amik urgent leave coz my boy down wif fever. mon afternoon, the childcare called me to fetch my boy...kelam kabut dibuatnye...

my first one, i used forcep..mcm tk bersalah seh doctor tu mskkan forcep..nasib ader epidural..kalau tk, dunnoe how it reli feel.

abt placenta lak, for all my kids i tk pernah bawa alik..i asked the hospital to throw..dun noe how it looks like..but some say i smell fishy eh..

im a mummy to 1 precious boy, 8 mths old, PTWM.

i brought home my placenta and bury it under a tree at my dad's work place garden, a montessori centre.
i personally think epi is a Godsent pain relief.
if any of u read last week's berita minggu Dr J did talk about epi and that his wife vouched for it...hahaha!!!
oh yah...if in labour pain and pushing please dont try not to shout or scream...muslims are encouraged to selawat and baca ayat 3 qul while having labour pains.

I've been to Snow City. Great for adults and teens. Tapi tempat tu sejuk giler tau.. How old is your baby ? That time when i go, ada jugak budak kecik.. they just play around the snow area. Tapi ada 1 big slope tau. Very high.. i think about 3 storey. So abit dangerous for a small kid to go down without parent hugging them and going down together. I naik slope to 3 kali dah give-up. Penat seh nak panjat tangga tu. I nie "muscular".. so semput.

So what do you guys go for a living? Ada i tgk FTWM, PTWM and STWM.. I'm a mktg admin in Tuas. Baru kerja jugak. Cos last year May i quit my previous job due to being pregnant and stress giler.

I dah 2 time miscarriage, so when i found out that i was pregnant for the 3rd time, cepat2 quit. Tak kisahlah kalau financial ada susah sikit.. Doctor said due to HIGH level of stress, that's why gugur 2 kali.. sigh..

Tapi alhamdullilah, sumernya lancar with Maya.
 
And from feedback, yg terpekik terlolong tu selalu bangsa india & cina. Melayu tak pekik, just gigit bibir. I did take Epidural.. sakit bila dorang nak letak tube tu. Tapi it was all worth the experience. Cuma i benci seh, nurse poke me 4 times kat tangan nak masuk drip and finally they decided to call the doc.. Doc tu cucuk sikit dah ok... bengkak2 tau tangan... sob sob sob

Madem, I've been to Snow City with my 2 boys. Verdict: tak worth it langsung. Unless you lug your own winter clothings there, the boots/ jackets provided are smelly. Kids cannot do much except for walk ard. The snow is dirty, not snow white, because it has been stepped on. And we can't take pictures inside, you have to buy them at $15 each. And although the place looks big, the snow area is awfully small.
