i gave birth to both my kids at 37 weeks genap lahh babe...so u better jaga jaga, hehehe..my first one i got slight bleeding, freak out kejap since it was my first time kan...lagi pulak i went for my 37th weeknya check up n the bloody doc told me its normal!! buang duit aku jer pi balik umah and go back after a few hrs, kalau tau dah ku tunggu ajer around there...hehehehe
my second baby pulak i went for my 37th week check up and Dr J offered to let me give birth dat day itself since i dah takleh angkat lagi my weight! sooo the heavy and in aching all over...masuk clinic jer i complain penat and he asked straight away " you wanna give birth today?" apa lagi...induced lahh...lega sehhh..
Tips, the pain got worst after the water bag burst sooo be mentally prepared for that ....hehehe, before that nak amik gambar amiklah...

ni apahal ni pasal bettybad dah score no.3 ?? she tak mention pon kat multiply dia.....hmmmmmm...curious jugak daku ni...heheheh

thankz for the welcumz greeting...

anyway nora, i now living solely wif my hubby n 3 kids. no maid, mo mother, no mil...reli tiring but wat to do, serik amik maid. had a maid for nearly 4yrs but dia buat perangai...terus anta dia balik. since then i moved to wdlands, nearer to mil so as and when need her help. she will ard. i send all 3 to childcare.

as for my late son, he had hydrocephalus..he got small little brain and his skull is full of water. ingatkan nk stop at my last gerl...but kecian tgk bpk nyer...alhamdulilah, dpt boy..last kopek...

i gave birth to my boy at 37 weeks and i was induce cos my water level is very low and my son born quite big 3.4kg weight ..

like most of the mothers here say, lain baby lain cerita lain sakit nya. to play save, jumpa doctor every week lagi bagus and Best of luck to u..!!

My EDD is on Sep 11, so our babies will be born near to each other. But my gynae said that by next check up, if baby's big, I'll go for c-sect on 28 aug at 38 weeks.
Don't worry about the pain, cos there's always the epidural! Somehow the whole process will just take place by itself. Why don't you pm me your number and when you are in labour, I'll ask my mom to look out for you. She's working in the labour ward at KK.

btw, where you staying? East/west/north?

I almost tersedak nampak my name being mentioned with a no 3. Haha. Blom lagi!!! Ini dua pun tak terhandle.

Dr J is my gynae and I still see him for my pap smears and oral pills so now that he's leaving, I'm gonna have a headache.

Smalldreams, if he's going to Thomson, I might follow him but he's going to Raffles and I've heard it cost a bomb. Still keeping my options open though.

My pc is finally up and running again. Yeahoo.

Talking about pregnancy ni..this year I think tahun princess..banyak betul yg expecting and dah pun deliver to girls..all my gfs yg gave birth, semua baby girl and SIL also expecting, delivering soon, baby dia pun girl!

tulah i pon tak tau can just induced like that...i tau dat day i masuk clinic jer and he asked me how i was and i after i said im veryyyy tired he asked if i wanna give birth dat day?! hehehehe..dont noe lah its good or not but wat i can say is that masa my first one kan i tak induce and it was kinda smooth...sampai kk jam 7 malam, gave birth at 9plus..my second one pulak i experienced more pain from the contractions...so maybe it all differs with diff people...pasal epidural kan...i tak amik for my first but masa my second i was very tempted cos he's bigger (3.152) dah mintak pon from the midwife tapi dia cam sengaja waste time i think cos maybe she knows its coming out soon..my hubby nak sign consent for the epi pon cam tak sincere gitu! hahaha...kept on saying "its $600 tau!" in the end i tak amik cos the doc came in and say its time! hehehehe...save duit..

medisave tak medisave duit jugak...bila dah add on a member to the family that means extra cost mahhh...im not working so kalau sakit apa apa anak bini semua pakai medisave my hubby alone...perit tu...
pasal share bdae tu...hehehe, bole save duit jugak......like my family, my boy oct..my girl nov...so they celebrate together...for me dec and my hubby jan..kita pon celebrate together..4 peeps 2 birthday celebration...muai~!!

Abt the waiting time..it varies la..Depending on how 'popular' tht gynae is..For me last time was with Dr Ang in thomson. IF appt is in the AM which is at TMC itself, waiting time tak lama..BUT kat his pvt clinic in sembawang, jgnlah pergi mlm..WAITING TIME about 2hrs!! So you see, it all depends. Whr do you plan to give birth? 2nd ni B/G?

Ya, u shd just set up the cot. Might as well buy the pampers skali lah nanti leceh nk kena keluar beli. Thomson ada kasi 1 pack of pampers newborn but KK i dunno. I bought drypers newborn - TAK BAGUS! Always leak. I think there's another newborn nye besides Pampers brand...cud be nepia..cheap so can try.

baby btl k yah bwk. Even if u r on formula, they'll usually give u some to bring home. Lagipun u won't knw what formula brand to gv kan? Try to breastfeed dulu lah...
Pacifier tk yah bwk lah...bb dun nid it now.
Hw abt toothbrush and toothpaste? Comb?towel? baju tdo like pajamas yg senang to breastfeed..aka with buttons in front.
Receiving blanket was given to me at hospital.

yes. you should pasang your bb cot now. kalau takut berabuk, lepas pasang, you cover dengan one of your old bedsheets.

KK ada bagi diapers - pampers newborn. (sori, kk tak bagi - this will be charged to you. so make sure you reject the maternity pad and disposable undies - they'll charge u for that and it's expensive!) apa2 belen yang ada after your bb is discharged, you bawak balik. baby wipes pun, you bawak balik apa yang tinggal. after my girl was born, i used pampers newborn. tapi, i tak suka sebab whenever dia kencing, bau busuk. (a few other mothers faced similar problems with pampers newborn. my daughter's pee is unique lah) bila i tukar nepia newborn, it was okay. nepia costs about $14/15 for a pack of 60. kalau u order 4 packs, they can deliver. you can order a combination of sizes. misalnya 1 newborn and 3 small because some babies cepat betul besar.

nursing bra you bawak satu aja? kadang2 leak teruk sangat sampai breast pad pun tak leh handle tau. so, baik kalau u ada spare.

Tapi munkin ur mum tak mau u pasang dulu bec some org tua tua pantang,tak mau perpare early early. But nowadays we have to be practical la beb.

U ade breast pump? Pasal sometimes engorged breasts kalau takde pump siksa tau.

baru dpt duk depan pc ni..anyway, for the past 4 kids kan, i tk pernah bawa pape...jln lenggang kangkung..

my first one, i terpaksa use epidural coz the doc said the head is too big and since i first time...takut i tkleh take the pain.
2nd one pun i used epidural, ape ke tak, sakit dari 6am..then when i finally took the epidural at 5plus, my doter keluar at 7pm.wasted..
3rd and 4th, normal..but overall, my third one paling senang..
 
Today baru start work after mat leave for 2 mths....melambak kerja...boss dump all at my table....

kat TMC, they gave the mittens and booties.. cumanya Shakil's fingers were very long so asyik terkeluar aje..and by the time we brought him home, somehow the blanket mcm kecik sikit..not as big as what Farah had b4...save cost agaknya!

Nepia ada jual kat NTUC. Naddy ckp tu betul, very soon after i had to change to small size and then aft abt a mth to medium size..

I like petpet..cheap, no leakage, high cut and absorbent. Cheaper version of mamy poko- v good!

i dulu nak pegi beranak macam nak pindah rumah. bantal pun i bawak bec i tak suke hospital nye bantal. Tapi I duduk hospital lame so i have to be comfortable la.

to me breastfeeding was damn tricky, it didnt come naturally. my boy pun susah nak latch on. since i was there till seven days after my delivery i took advantage of the lactation consultant, kalau kat rumah i think i dah give up.. I'm glad i did even tho tak lame sangat. so Good luck..

regarding the maternity bra kan..i pon dat time susah nak beli pasal mahal but in the end i bought mine at $17 jerrr!! but i forgot lah the name of the shop..very good quality..at novena square ada tau kedai tu..and also vivocity...then at amk pon ada jugak , its those neighbourhood shops yg jual lingeries and all..brand china lahh but only $12.90 i think...
for newborn diapers kan i beli Fitti dulu...i think its good enuf for newborns..then after that pandai pandai lah u try other brands..socks for urself must bring tau and cardigan and also if possible corset so after birth kat hospital u can put that on...my tukang urut yg suruh dulu...susu at kk selalu tukar, they jus supply watever susu that they get from sponsors..nurse will usually kasi u 2 bottles for home....breastmilk for some mothers come very late, like maybe 2-3 days...ada pulak siang dah keluar...now those battery operated pumps are getting cheaper...

ps: u inform us lahh when u give birth ..bole kita singgah and menyibok kat sana nanti...hehehe

yalah...ada org tua2 pantang to set up baby cot dulu cos takut get difficult delivery.
i dont know about ward C and B2 but for mine dont need to bring any toiletries and towels cos everything dah siap.
the pampers newborn got balance from the hospital stay so i brought home.
i dont like the kotex maternity they gave so i brought my own.
here's a brief list of wat i brought:
1) 2 pairs of nursing bra
2) disposable underwear
3) Pureen madame maternity pads (very wide, can absorb well and cushion the stitches of episiotomy well)
4) facial wash
5) socks and cardigan cos delivery suite can get quite cold
6) change of clothes
7) receiving blankie
8) mittens and booties
9) rompers
10) breast pump (cos i want the lactation nurse to show me how to do it...and some people cannot give bm cos bb cannot latch yet so pumping out the precious clostrum is better and feed by bottle)

btw, have u tot of wat u are going to do with the placenta?
for me, i took it so nurse gave it in a plastic bag and i passed to my dad who was waiting outside to go bury it.

nepia size newborn and small cannot get from ntuc.
can only get from isetan supermarket at shaw or nepia online.

I just went to Baby Bear Clinic and the Doc give nebulizer to the 2 girls. Nanti aku sms kau for confirmation. Nie abt playgroup macam mana nak organise ah

u can consider buying mamypoko for newborns, cos they have this cut out thingy for newborn's unbilical cord. Im also at my 34 weeks dis week, tapi siang2 dah stock up on diapers. Heeheheh.. ;p I dun really noe how absorbent this brand is lah... cuma i like the cut-out feature.. so bila nampak, terus beli.

i tried mamypoko newborn but didnt like it cos my boy's pee leaked everytime i used mamypoko on him.
so i stopped using.
i think besides pampers, goon is very good.

alah ciannya the two gerls.
i was so scared when faiq's cough tak recover within 4 days so macam nak giler aku carik pd and alternative med.
i nearly went to Dr Zainal at rivervale but after i tried the tcm at kembangan noticed that faiq's condition improve a lot.
hope the 2 gerls will get well soon!
 
wahhh reading all the mummies' advice to sri_leo reminds me of the time i was preparing to give birth to si adam tu...hehehe...

i have loads of nursing bras - most bought from john little sale - murah je only $12.90 each. $9.90 each pon ada. The ones i bot from MIM were too large - imagine I beli 90C - haha, I seriously believed I needed a big size coz the ones i bot tak muat.Skali tu over the months, i started losing weight and going back to my pre-preg weight (not that i'm slim to begin with too, actually) lepas tu sekarang all those bras are just super loose!

Till now i wonder when i'll start wearing normal bras again...still using my boring plain, nursing bras...sighs...

getting excited kan... i pun cam excited for u gitu.. terkenang tatlast year tis time i baru gave birth to Aqeel.. punye lah tersiksa.. i kena induced then konon nak save duit hubby lah tak yah pakai epi, lepas tu hentam gas je sampai dah nak 8 jam pun tak dilated, contractions dah bertalu .. my gynae advice to take epi so i can rest and save my energy, belum 1 hour the epi take effect, bb kat dalam perut buat hal.. tak nak breath lak tu..
iisshh!! apa lagi, gynae call for code green kena lah emergency c-sect... very the drama sekali.. meraung tell my hubby i tak nak c-sect.. kena paksa jugak cos aqeel not breathing properly..
ha! sekali keluar bb weighing 3.78kg.. terperanjat i di buatnya...

anyways, sri, i think you are all set to give birth and ready for the arrival of your bundle of joy... suma cam dah okie gitu..

Do take care of yr girls coz last yr...same date and same time as per today my boy Raiyan kena bronchitis and kena admitted kat kk for 4 days....petang National day baru dia discharged....so pity him dat time kena paksa took the gas...sampai 3 nurse grip dia wif blanket....meronta2 dia....

i always blend faiq's fruits/ veg during weekends then freeze in those baby cubes.
i have the 1oz and 2oz cubes.
so when i wana feed him i just put 1 cube in hot water to defrost it.
very senang and fast one.
can last 1 week tau!
why tak cakap u want handheld blender?
me and zu just got our braun handheld blenders which we ordered from our fren.

since i have oredi tahan contractions for 24 hours then go kk...by the time i reached kk i macam nak pengsan cos whole nite never even get any sleep...
sampai je ask gynae for epi...masuk epi je tido all the way beb...punyalah shiok!
i admitted at 10.30am...6pm baru dilate nearly 10cm...7.30pm then start pushing...faiq came out at 9.24pm
