Lin, alhamdulillah, I was able to quit and spend some time with my boys. Now my working hours strictly 1-6.30pm. Occasionally, I come to work an hour early just to finish up my stuff. My husband prefers my working arrangement.

i cuma ambil 3 hari. cik tu pun suggest ambil 3 hari dah cukup. dia kata since tukang urut sebelum ni dah urut 4 hari, jadi ambil 3 hari sahaja untuk genapkan 7 hari total. I rasa walaupun dah habis urut ni, i akan telefon dia datang urut sebulan sekali lah. i serasi dgn urut dia. Lebih baik pakai dia daripada pergi spa.. spa mahal lah. Lagipun bagus kalau i sentiasa urut. Dah learn my lesson... macam dulu...lost contact dgn tukang urut i yang pertama. Yang pertama tu memang de bestlah. Sayang i tak keep in touch dgn dia. Jadi, since dapat tukang urut yang i serasi ni dan i suka, i tak nak lose contact. Mana tahu, sekali beranak lagi.

Overall verdict: will go to her for ailments/pre &amp; post natal msg but not for relaxation massage

Very nearby so considered convininent for me.

Next week going to the Citra Ayu for normal massage n facial. I think those mums who will be meating me on Monday will vouch on how KOYAK

Today first time brought shakil and farah out..kelam-kabut dibuatnya!

Went to Ikea..undergoing renolah but alot of furnitures were on sale but it's a display set but what the heck..i bought a wide bookshelf with tempered glass sliding door for $275 only. What u c is what u get so since still in gd condition, i dun mind buying it lah. Blh jugak taruk buku2 yg berlambak. Many ppl bought the chairs and sofa..Then we also bought table and chairs and a stool (cos farah has bn carrying it all around) for farah, and 2 long shelves. Since dah kena delivery so might as well biar diorang angkutkan sume!

After that we went to Disney cafe and it was super crowded!! The waiting list was like 2 pages long and yet ppl were willing to wait so since farah dah sooo hungry, i bought their pizza for takeaway. Not much on the menu actually and not that fantastic. Farah ate a bit and so the rest keep for tmr...sigh

Lepas tu kita gi McCafe kat west coast to relax a bit..so many ppl everywhere!!!

This weekend has been quite boring coz we're cooped up at home. Yesterday the husband was away for his MTB race at Ubin. Today he has to work. Waiting for tomorrow as at least he'll be around.

Sharena, going out with 2 kids mesti kecoh. Hehe. I pun kluar with a big diaperbag but my husband carries it. For now, can't travel light.

Wah, luckily I went to Disney cafe on a weekday night. There's nothing much on the menu but the food is fine with me. Pricewise is also reasonable. And most importantly, my boys love being there coz Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is by far their favourite show.

semalam i siang siang dah kaput bec the night before tengok survivor sampi pukul 2 pagi. then yesterday full of activities bec i was gathering all the stuff that my sis wants me to ship over. today i pack then tomoro can bring to post office yg kat paya lebar tu. yg pelik tu yesterday, i went to 4 supermarkets to look for adabi perencah nasi goreng.. takde.. out of stock everywhr. so my sis have to make do without la nampak ye.

you're right, globetrotters is at Utd Sq. It's not halal. But i heard from some non muslim mummies that the cakes there are uber-yummy!

For me pulak I don't really fancy disney naturally cafe. I tot the portions were too small! And I didn't even try...just tengok from outside, and judging from the menu. hehee...it's really like a kids' cafe lah. Maybe when my kid is about your kids' age, he'd appreciate it more.

Hey, you bot him a jumperoo! Mahal kan benda tu? I only got a 2nd hand exersaucer for my Adam, sekarang pon he can climb out of it. Yesterday i went to marina sq kiddy palace, n there was the exact jumperoo as faiq's. I placed my 1 yr old Adam in there, and boy he loved it! Tapi i takde space ah nak letak benda2 cam ni. But then I'm always on the prowl for gadgets that could give me or any other caregiver even 5 minutes of break...kekeke...tak leh dok diam betul lah my Adam...

retail is $230.
i got it for $150.

i know of a malay lady who is also selling off her jumperoo.
its only been used for 3 months and still looks new.
she is selling for $170.

for me time confinement i stayed at my own house then my mum stayed over for first 3 weeks.
the next 3 weeks till end of confinement my mil pulak stayed over.
my mum did ask me to go over her place but i said my things and all faiq's stuffs are here at my house.
if nak angkut, banyak and leceh.
at last she gave in...hahaha!

btw,anyone interested in tupperware baby bottles?
i have 2 of them plus the bottle warmer bag.
got it as a gift and never even use
tot of letting it go.

tak jalan dgn mak i. mak i kerja. jadi bukan dia jaga i dalam masa hari. bapa i dah semi-retired. jadi dia tolong jaga i. dia lah yang jaga makan minum i dalam masa hari. mak i tak kasi bapa i terlari-lari dari bedok ke sengkang. hai...i kena bawa luggage dan hand-carry luggage kat sini. macam pergi belayar. walaupun mak mentua i suri rumah dan tinggal dekat dgn i, tapi i tak boleh minta tolong dia. dia orang cina. The thing about these exersaucers etc, space / storage is a problem. As of now ajer my mom's place (where adam spends most time when i'm at work) dah ada exersaucer, a bumper mat which is his play area, a door jumperoo which is hung down from the stairs, a walker which has been conveniently shoved in a corner in my room! I think I'll rent a jumperoo. Mahal tapi I really can't afford the space..eheh but one thing, it's good to get it from a malay mum lah. at least u noe tak was2...hehe...

a little intro abt myself... I tau abt the existence of this thread, tapi i'm just the silent reader jer, looking out for tips, but never participate... I'm active in other threads, tapi there are certain parenting issues which i believe malay mummies jer yg paham...

I'm a FTWM of 2 active-giler-nyer gals (2 yo and 6 mo), staying at Sembawang.

Btw, wrt to Moby Wrap... I ader pakai Cuddly Wrap (similar to Moby Wrap) for my 2nd gal, and personally, the wrap only helped me when she was a newborn (when go for newborn checkups) coz the wrapping is tight mcm dlm womb and memang support a newborn really well. Tapi bila baby dah besar (aka berat!) the wrapping tends to get loosen bila i pakai. Downside of this kind of wrap: Bole forget abt wearing nice, trendy tops coz the wrapping will cover the entire torso, especially if you are a petite mum. Then, to take out or put back baby into the wrap frequently tak convenient sgt coz must adjust or retie the wrap to ensure security and fit. Just my 2 cents worth...

I know, my mom also gave me similar hints! She said her supervisor advised her against it too. I suppose it's a lot to do with the freedom, and earning your own cash.

Previously I managed my taking care of baby myself as my workplace allowed work from home schemes - so I worked from home about twice weekly. The other 3 days, kecoh ah, if I'm not around, I got my hubby (who's still a student) to take care, or my dad (who's a taxi driver) to help and my mom helped out too during her off days. Imagine if i kena masok office for urgent matters...pening kepala seh!

But after about 7 mths of that, my mom saw how difficult it was for me, and I was running around like mad too, nak uruskan both baby &amp; work! She pon started takde mood nak kerja so she eventually left her job end last year. My mom's quite a saver lah, but still made me feel bad that she quit. ONce in a while she'd hint about lack of freedom etc. So on the days i work frm home full day now, she can do whatever she wants lah.

Well you know I think yr baby will find it much more fun to be with Mum, even if there are plenty of toys at Granma's

I agree with you that the wraps are more useful for younger babies. Once dorang dah besar, they'll squirm! Then leceh to wrap them in ALL Over again. Jangan kata wraps... even normal MIM slings or COMBI careers pon susah jugak. I can't imagine those wraps. But of course, time newborn, super convenient
