HI MOMMIES!

I'm back in action...yah right a slow paced one. Semalam tghari dah balik. Ingatkan nk extend my stay but my hb pleaded me to recover at home. Dia penat ulang alik hospital agaknya. Lagipun Farah rindukan i. Kat rumah nenek dia, she'll standby at the door bila petang, thinking I'll fetch her home. Kesian dia.

Masih terasa sakit bila jln2. Baby and farah tgh tidur skrg so ada time to log in. Shakil kena G6PD deficiency and slight jaundice so tadi pagi my hb and i bangun jemur dia kat our balcony 5mins each front and back. Panas jugak matahari.

Farah is adjudting well to the baby. Suka cium adik dia. And she tak ganas as expected. She actually slowly put her head or face to baby's face and kiss him. When her face touches baby's hair, she'll laugh..geli agaknya.

Will have to start taking air gamat and jeli gamat to recover faster since i don't take pati ikan haruan.

I tried cari the capsule ikan haruan kat geylang but one shop said it's not approved in s'pore yet. Only in m'sia. Kedai mana u nampak?

Finally!! I've read 3 weeks worth of posting. Me just came back from New York, followed my husband on business trip.

Should have you girls around so that can shop together cos shopping there is madness. We went with 2 bags, came back beranak 6 bags. Super cold weather though, 0-5 degrees.

I live very very near there. Would swing by tapi lama2 macam takde benda ajer. Wanted to get a cheapo stroller for my mom's place, saw one at $39.90 and almost bot it! But bila my son dah sat on it, I realised, takde shelter/roof lahh..padan lah murah. Terus cancel plan...hehe in the end beli kat geylang serai market for about $50. Cheapo jugak eheh..

Thank you all for the well wishers. It was such a relief to have it all finally over.

Let me give you a short account of my trip to the delivery room:

*7Apr08 Arrived at TMC at 1130pm with my hubby to register my admission.
(My hubby got no choice but to book a single bedded room for me cos I was giving him the cold shoulder all day)

*Had hot milo before bedtime.

*At 0830am the next morning, my hubby left to do some errands. Dr Lawrence Ang came by and predicted that I'll be delivering soon at noon. (It's hard to belief him since I don't feel pain at that moment)

*1130am, I suddenly felt mild contractions. Decided to hold on and not pressing the distress call. But then, Dr Lawrence called my room and told me to go down to the delivery suite asap.

*1200 noon, the contractions were great! 5 minutes apart. (How can he tell. His a doctor after all)

*1:30pm, my hubby arrived.

*3pm, the great pain was unavoidable. I think I almost kicked Dr Ang and scratched my hubby's arm. Dr Ang merely helping me to hasten my delivery. Baby was stuck in the birth canal and he did some "adjusting" in my cervix!

*3:26pm, Melissa Adam Lee was born! Hurray!

I stay around Changi, about 2 bus-stops jer from expo. Tapi i selalu singgah kalau balik from my mom's place, so just swing by expo before going home. kalau gi weekday, it's really almost empty, tapi kalau pegi weekends, fooh, line up punyer panjang!!

Shimmers you pun "hantu" coach eh? I love surfing their website but I'm rather shy with carrying their stuff. hehe, the bag I bought last year pon, I just simpan dalam cupboard ajer. pakai a few times during raya last yr.

Newborns best eh, tidooo ajer..ehhe aman mummy dia punyer hidup. My baby, 11 mths, is teething again. First 4 teeth came out relatively uneventfully, but for past 3 days, he's been rather whiny. He's teething not just 1, but 3 teeth altogether...haiz...*bracing self for another night of action*

for first timer the treatment is $65 at salon and $88 at spa.
subsequently after that is about $160.
they will try to ask u to sign up for package but i was VERY insistent in saying no...hahaha.

if u have itchy scalp then must be sensitive scalp or have oily dandruff.
they will do hair analysis first before u do the treatment.

oh yah...i mean the sunscreen.
the one in spf 30 for sensitive skin is in blue also?
like the one u used for your boy?

Jaundice Machine: Serious ah wt the bed skali? I know you can rent the lights/lamps frm hospital &amp; do treatment. Tak pernah dengar wt the bed lah. But jaundice is normal as long as the levels not too high lah. Saarah had jaundice for 1.5mths thanks to my breastmilk - bummer! What a chore to do blood test every 3 days

From your description, Phytospa sounds goodlah. I pun macam nak try. Kena buat appointment or can just walk in? &amp; how long does the whole treatment take? 1 hr? 2 hrs?

Jaundice phototherapy: Ya, ever since SARS dulu, dah boleh rent the phototherapy machine for home use. It's from the same agent for Medela Breatspumps (Mums &amp; Babes). I had to rent for my 2nd kid. For my 3rd kid, dr. tak kasi rent, cos jaundicenya teruk sangat, had to be warded.

Birth order: Hey, sounds like melah, except coin swallowing. It's so true that I tend to get more relaxed wif every kid. Macam lebih experienced, lebih bochap!

i've passed my germs to my boy, but he is recovering well. pasal kancheong-ism ni kan.. i think no one can beat ny hb la, kalau anak dia sakit, punye lah kancheong.... terjerit jerit panggil i even when the boy batuk sikit... sigh..

Kalao 'suntan' ur bby kena make sure both sides garing. Last time i 'suntan' my boy due to jaundice also, but i guna sun petang. N the eveing sun set cepat jugak so the shadow shift very fast. I Lepe sekejap aje n realsi that my son punya kaki aje yang kene matahari. So til now my boy is multi colur. Muka fair, badan brown, kaki hitam

if u are referring to the post-op pain memang rasanya lagi sakit. The lady next to me pun csect and she didn't feel much pain on the 2nd day mcm branak normal pulak. Jln bukan main cepat. I yg terkiyal-kiyal jln mcm tortoise..nak bangun katil pun sakit. I had to take 3 painkillers at one time so that i feel less pain. Sejak I minm aior gamat and jeli gamat, alhamdulillah, the pain has lessen quite a lot. Not depending so much on painkillers now.

i pun sama. farah pantang nampak me or hb kat comp, she always wants to listen to the schnappi song repeatedly! tak jelak pulak tu! and when habis je nak picit mouse to replay...i'm having ME time now cos my mil dah bwk dia balik rumah and shakil is sleeping.

My mil will come every morning to help me bathe shakil and then help me with housework or layan farah. my mum is also staying at my place so farah got 2 grandmas and grandpa to layan her. My stepdad dah nk balik UK on Wed so today he and my mum go jln2 kat esplanade and marina and maybe sentosa...so farah my mil jaga. my mil tak kena gaya stay my pl lama2 kalau takde apa2 nk buat so i told my hb to send her hm and bring farah along (her request) cos aft football my hb will pick her up.

frustrating jugak lah... i thot 2nd one will hv more milk. pagi tadi supply dah lebih sikit then bila i pump lagi aft 4 hrs, cuma brape drops je.. depressing betul. So far apa yg i dpt pump out, i'll feed shakil first before giving the formula. takut2 nanti tak effective pulak.
 
anyone with baby girl hair very long?
My baby hair now very long.. nv cut since newborn. Dunno if nak cut her hair or not coz sayang but she tak sit still upright and when nak tie her hair, she will squirm all over.... and her hair band always drop. any baby hair gel taK to reccomend? ahaha.. Tadi when at parkway almost thought of cut her hair at the kids salon but got 2nd tots

My baby last time also jaundice not very high abt 164 but coz she come out just before Hari Raya. alot of my relatives get to see her. Say jaundice lah must bathe the chinese herbs lah.. some say the chinese herbs toxic lah.. end up but the herbs nv use at all. think jaundice common among babies coz their kidney still immature cannot break down certain cells so.. jaundice will lower after 10-13 days after baby kidney matures. Sunbathe Vit D will help break down the cells the kidney cannot break down. KKH babies will go poly abt every 3 days just to draw blood n check jaundice level until it lowers. My sister baby go poly everyone take turn bring to poly. hahaa,..

as for breastfeeding, try to latch on both side. If baby suka, left then left lah.. haha then the right u can pump if ur baby really tak nak. If baby minum n ur breast still got milk, just pump out so tak bengkak. I managed to teach my sis how to latch on when she still at hospital.. until now melekat latch on, dunt need FM during confinemnet. good la BM dunt need to bother abt bottles.

as for handbags, mine can count on 1 hand. Only use to go out or special occasion. My everyday go work bag is usually cheapo reusable bag,to fit my uniform.
 

Sharena, memang frustrating at first breastfeeding ni. After my 2nd delivery, my milk pun mula-mula sikit but I persistently latched him on every 2 hours to increase supply. After that baru ok. Tahan jer la penat nak susukan dia everytime.

It's a nice feeling having a newborn around. Rasa macam nak try again to get a girl. Haha. Macam betul jer I ni. Ini 2 jer penat semacam.

Btw, Ive updated the list, this time with the boys' corrected birthdates.
