ANY MALAY MUMS HERE?

Hi Everyone..
The thread I baca sampai naik kero.. it seems the hot topic is about tukang urut.. I have mine also as old as Lynzi's. Nama pun seakan akan mine is Nenek Hajjah Kamisah tinggal in pasir ris. Whatever Lynzi stated, thats what my nenek urut did for me also wheh I gave birth to my son. She jaga me and Sharf very rapi..tuam kan Sharf's balls with daun sireh. I had C-sect, she still urut my tummy and bengkungkan all tht..

Samalah, my kaki pun bengkak semacam and it was so scary and she did the same as ur nenek urut buat..kapur and air limau nipis.. And this nenek kamisah also learnt all these urut frm her grandmother. I think the older experieced lady is way way better than the young ones.

The rest, here's a summary of what happenned today..
This afternoon at 5pm, had D&C done. Early morning I went for a scan, gynae confirmed that baby was no longer growing and alive. So he suggested rather than wait for the baby to drop by itself (which can cause infection), why not go for the D&C.
So on the spot I booked 5pm slot at TMC, drove back home, arrange in laws to come take over Sharf, went back to TMC at 2pm do the admission. Mcm cartoon 1 hari ni..By 2.15pm was already in the ward, they inserted 2 tablet to open up my cervix( as I never had normal delivery before, widen the cervix is necessary)..Ya Allah bila masukkan tu, punyalah sakit..At tht moment,I was thinking to myself,it was a great idea to opt for C-sect during Sharf's birth..Salute to all mummies yg endure the labour pains,Really!!
So after it was inserted, I was told to wait for 3 hrs till dilated. I was expecting more pains but Syukur no pain at all until now.Painkiller prescribed pun belum makan2 lagi. Hopefully there'll be no pain at all.
So genap pukul 5, D&C done..bila sadar I was in ward back at 5.45pm..sekejapkan?! Bangun a bit groogy a while but not too bad..still can walk to ladies to pass urine,had tuna sandwiches and milo, settle bills, went back home on my own.
Thats the end of my pregnancy journey..pasrah sudah suratan.. To be goin thru all these by myself alone has indeed made me a stronger mother, I think somehow..

Hahhaha, panjang lebar eh karangan ni..ala saje saje nak share with my malay club mummies..

but i always beleive there is a cloud with silver lining...like org melayu always say...ada hikmah di sebaliknya.
maybe God knows when u will exactly be ready for it.
maybe u are meant to do other great stuffs first.

gerls, if u are calling nenek kamidah u and get to talk to her u can tell her that fazlina admiralty recommend u. Fazlina anak maznah semabawang...she should know.

so sori to hear dat. Insya-Allah klu ada rezeki, u can always try again. Ni semua dugaan kecil je utk kita.. and i tink u r very strong to go thru all alone w/o hubby ard. Whatever it is, have a very good rest and u still need to pantang tau mcm org bersalin jugak.

Well I believe if any of you are caught in situation like this, sure got no time to emo emo pasal you have to get back on your feet fast for your beloved child yg left behind while you settle whats necessary esp when your companion not around. Now I never looked back, I'm glad at least I'm blessed with Sharf at this moment of time. He keeps me goin stronger each day. All mummies will do just the same for their loved ones kan..

Nak kena pantang? I know pasal Mum n MIL pun ckp org gugur lagi worst than bersalin. But I dont know how to pantang when gugur ni.. According to gynae I can get back to my normal routine and eat well. Must I eat jamu all tht? Was thinking to go urut but not so soon lah..

What else do I need to jaga pple? Share sikit..

Btw, Sharena and babylee will be admitted this tues kan, any of u visiting them,say on wed/thurs? Kalau ada, we'll go together eh..

Am so sorry to hear this. But I do am shock that you can actually handle this all by yourself! Whatever it is, there's always a reason behind it. Allah sentiasa mengetahui. Give yourself more time to prepare mentally and physically. All of us in this forum will pray and give you more strengths in this time of need. Shermin if need be, I PM you my number.

So your nenek tak do sengkak lah eh. I tot usually orang lama lama nie dorang normally will do this.

tis is wat i heard from my mom and makcik urut, org yg gugur pun mesti pantang. abt makan jamu tu i'm not so sure, but i noe, u nak kena urut jugak, mcm org bersalin. i tink it best ur ask ur tukang urut. coz dia org lebih mahir dlm hal ni semua.

any mummies yg pernah went thru or heard anything abt tis, maybe can share with us..

And i also heard that in this situation you will have to go for urut, my cousin also had the same situation and she went for the urut...think of it as taking care of the well-being of ur body..

My first baby was in July. Same bday with me. So initially me and my hubby tot of planning this second one to be June baby, same with the daddy. Tapi my hubby tak tahu kira calendar lah, so I'm blessed with April baby instead.

It's true you kena pantang. Like what the others say kan, u kena lah urut to take care of ur well being. As for Jamu, if u don't like it, try taking other essence.

Shermin, hee..hee.. apa lah u. My doctor belum lagi jumpa I. Appointment baru this Tuesday then he will know if I got to be admitted ke tidak. Anyway like what he mentioned on my last appointment with him, my cervix is already open. So still I'm a bit nervous jugak lah. Actually I mentally belum lagi prepared. I'm still afraid of those labour pains. If u nak pop down to see Sharena, I love to join! If I kena admitted on that day, u be the first to know lah.

Anyway, if u all intend to do another playgroup or gathering, I guess Sharena, IC and myself will be able to join only after kite nye confinement. Cos I dah niat dah! I intend to bake cakes and cookies for u all to try! Maklumlah, I'll be getting an oven soon in my new hse.

i ni very fussy so i think he's good as he was very patient and diligent in trying to find for us.
i viewed more than 20 houses in woodlands and sembawang tau before getting the one i wanted...hahaha.

Nak survey sikit... U all once find out dah preggie straight away go for medical chk ups or wait til dah 3rd trimester then go. If u go, then u go poly or KK/NUH or private hospital?

Welcome to this thread and for me when i found out i was preggy which was by using the pregnancy test kit, i bought another kit...hehehe, kiasu sikit pasal for both pregnancies was kinda a surprise/shocked...then we went to poly for the first born and gp for the second born jus to confirm the pregnancy...
then they refer us to kk....

Yah i was looking up for shops kat sg to test it out. Look online of course very nice but of course need to chk it out. Coz i just found out last week i preggie (again) and my 2nd bby just only turned 6mois. i calc by the time my 3rd one out my 2nd still need to be 'push ard' so contemplating on a double stroller. Ur is the which model and mana shop u buy?

As for my 3rd suprise bby, i'm thinking of putting off the chk ups til my 3rd trimester. Hospital-wise my frens all recommend NUH, but that still have loads of time to decide on

I bought her the double stroller in red. We bought that at The first few years in paragon. The single and the double stroller is the same model. You just need to buy extra seat for the double one. Btw congrats on your pregnancy!

So only tat shoppe has it... tadi i went to United Square forgot to chk tat store out. My son (3yrs) was too hungry so had to leave in a rush for supper. Saw online tat its sold for $1018. Too bad coz my budget was $800 only

mothercare too selling phil&teds. You would want to do a comparison on both stores before buying. We took for granted and didn't brought along mimi's stroller, assuming we would be able to cash and carry it but the color we wanted wasn't available so we ended up buying 2 stroller since mimi don't wanna put her feet on the ground and mummy desperately wanna go shopping!

P/s: Just sharing in case you might have the intention to not bring your stroller along. It was a bad idea! Anyway, we needed to wait for 3 working days for them to deliver the stroller to our house.

I think buying from US shopping is still the cheaper meathod plus within my budget of $800, inclusive of shipping & gst. In ur opinion the 2 seating cushions is plush enuff? Some stroller selling so exp but the seating so stiff with meger cushioning inside

Nor, u finally found yr way here! Abt the pregnancy thing, i wait till i'm 3mths baru jumpa gynae. Cos u go so early pun they will ask u ambik test lagi. Waste money kan. Then kena bayar consultation etc.. Mahal jugak beb! Anyway, congrats again on yr pregnancy!!

Tak salah, Phil and Ted at Mothercare slightly cheaper. Anyway, the price of this stroller da drop jugak over the past 2yrs. LAst time was over 1k. Now less than dat.

Dah lama I tak join in the discussion.. oohh touching abt sengkak, I tak tahu pulak that it could result to you having difficulty to get pregnant again. Is it true? Cos my tukang urut ader buatkan I sengkak after a few months I dah deliver cos I c-section.
I thought its to make sure your uterus tak ke bawah and gelebeh..

Talking about sengkak, kenape haram in the first place? And does it make u infertile? So far n the past 2+ years my womb asyik drop (during preggie n not preggie times) and casuing me loads of pain n discomfort and the only "relief" i get is to go down for urut with sengkak.

By the way whose mums who are interested in getting Phil n Ted's double stroller, i called up Mothercare today and they are having promo: Black sports with free double seat for $899 + free delivery Quite a good deal

correction on my part.
the sengkak that u gerls meant was to put the womb back to its pre-pregnancy position.
that kind of sengkak is ok.
the kind of sengkak that is haram is to push the womb higher up so that the sperms will have a hard time reaching.
thus, can result in infertility.

Btw everyone, I kena admit to TMC skarang jugak as I'm typing right now. So guys, I'll be joining Sharena tomorrow. Who knows. Same room! If only my hubby can get 1 bedded for me.....sigh!!!!!

Dr Ang says high chances I'm giving birth tomorrow morning. Tapi I tak rasa sakit pun....:p
