Ive been hearing a lot about the clarins oil, so tempting to buy..bila pg with Sharf, I didnt put so much effort on the stretchmarks only focus on the baby n pregnancy..anyway I didnt see any but bila dah beranak,they started to appear and I was so shocked and depressed tht time so now I thot maybe I should do somthing to prevent more frm appearing.

I sent my son to schoolhouse when he was 18mths for half a year jer then I switched pasal I dont really like the curriculum. I like the environment tho, they have a canteen for children's snack time with a halal foodstall, gym,music room etc. Well, it depends on individual on what kind of curriculum you want your child to be exposed to.

Talking abt how u travel daily to west frm the east, I remember during my sec sch days, my mum bought a house in woodlands and because it was my 4th n final year, I didnt want to change my school. So I spent that whole solid year travelling frm admiralty to Bedok daily to n fro.Sekolah pagi pulak tu, I must catch the 1st train kalau tak I'll be late.. Nasibla baik it didnt affect my studies, my mom was very worried at tht time. Pasal Im so stubborn not to switch sch, the train was like a study hub for me la..It was tough but I made it!!

Just to let you know. I got the admission form from TMC. Notice skarang the deposits dah increase. single bedded is now $1.2 instead of $1k previously.

my mil pun told me kalau perut gatal, pakai sikat jgn pakai kuku so that takde marks.

pasal stretchmarks, nasib baik i takde from 1st preg. But I used this cream which my gynae recommended. Q ex..topicream is the brand- from France. Masih ada lagi. I didn't use it everyday but now 2nd preg, malas betul. Bila ada mood baru sapu cream. So far takdelah any marks yet. Actually stretchmarks tu mcm mana ?

I lagi 4 weeks to go. EDD 28/4. Ya u are right. 4 bedded is now $800. I nak opt for single bedded cos the last time I was induce, my hubby cannot stay in with me cos I'm sharing a room. But now looking at the price, I have second thoughts.

think nada would be fine! babies will pandai pandai sendiri as long as exposed to many things and they are not restricted. I havnt put Ayuni on carpeted floor yet coz her neck not strong to hold up throughout when on her tummy.

shichida method is more on memory work. like photographic memory, speed reading, doing maths cal. etc. its good to attend but still need to teach your baby like EVERYDAY to get good results in the long run. so far the earliest can see result is prob when turning 1 year old. Classes are probably overpriced for hush hush trade secret. Overall if u got the $$ and convienience of going for classes, I guess no harm trying for a term or more... If u get to watch their coporate vid, quite impressive coz they feature Jap kids who are trained to be prodigies. I saw it before and very very impressed lah.. think abt 2-3 yrs back they showed me the vid when I went to apply for some position there when seeking job..haha.. but on the whole ok ah.. very professional environment. I wish to enrol my kid but not convienient coz I'm still doing shift work... might consider after I start doing office hrs n more stable working hrs.

fyi, it's not good to train small children to learn based on memory. In schools, the children are encouraged to think and not regurgitate through rote learning... They'll become very rigid and cannot think out of the box. Just let them be and expose them to various ways of learning esp by discovery..it helps with developing creativity.

Actually kan tmc overall pun nt that ex lah. That time I was upgraded to 2 beded, styaed 5days and farah was in icu for 3 days and remaining 3 days in nursery so all came to abt 2k aft medisave deduction although after 3 days we were required to deposit another 3k due to hospital bills exceeding 1k... but my hb pakai credit card. Then since there were balance, they gave us a cheque.
 
my fren( a teacher) has her kid enrolled shicida. Her kid didn't benefit much. didnt say much why, she thinks maybe coz its quite restrictive (something like so classroom environment) so not suitable for her kid temperament. She send to those mahal schs - but cam not learn so much. honestly, from what she says and does - her child seems to benefits most from her own teaching and interaction. That's my impression anyways.
 
I wanted to stay at tmc tapi tak dapat chance. during labour, the nurses let u move ard or change ur positions as u please ? heard tmc is famous for being flexible and more follow mum's wishes

i pun dulu semangat nak do flashcards with my boy, but tak kesampaian...if i get to spend time with him at the end of the day its not that much so i believe he learns thru observations of day to day things... but my boy watches a lot of tv.. dun know if its good or bad.. but its genetic, i and hb also hantu tv...

ok now i nak balik..see..there's really not much time that i get to spend with him.

Mine they already prebooked for 4 bedded. And as u know, normally TMC will upgrade us to 2 bedded ward with 4 bedded nye bill. That's a lot of costs savings for us. I was wondering if I should take up the single bedded since till now, my sisters are pretty tied up during my EDD period. So no one can actually take care of Darling.
 
sharena, ye ke?!! i paid abt 4k in cash lepas minus medisave tau.. and i pun ambik 4bedded.. upgrade to 2bedded. tapi the fees.. very ex la. my fren stayed 1bedded. c-sect paid almost same price as me.

that time they upgraded 4 bedded to 2 bedded pasal reno but now that reno is over tak tahu pulak kalau they'll still upgrade.. I hope they will though! I'd like to be in 2 bedded but my hb and i thot buat apa spend a lot of money for the bed je..paling best single bedded lah, ada privacy but then kalau sorang2 takut lah.. If my hb stay over nanti kena extra charges pulak.. tak yah lah. Might as well save the money.

reading from the recent thread, i was kind of shock to c that most of u paid deposit during the admission to TMC. for mine both born in 2004 and 2006, tak der deposit, i juz produce my antenatal receipts. they let me into the labour ward...n for cash after admission, i paid $300++ in cash for 2004 and $70++ in cash in 2006. Is it becos, i'm a member of FBI/SBI or is it mine was normal birth? for both medisave i'd paids abt $2k plus.....

Zu...banyak nyer u bayar?? did u submit ur antenatal receipt tu claim back???

Dengar pasal deposit for admission ni makin lama makin mahal. For B1 in KK, it has gone up to 1k plus. Just the deposit alone. So expensive!

cakap pasal delivery ni kan. KKH dulu i kena taruk 1K deposit untuk B1. Lepas tu, bayar cash dalam $800 lebih. Ni natural delivery sei.. laki i tak boleh tinggal dgn i. Sigh. Sekarang dah experience, i rasa i nak ambil single bed jadi laki i boleh tolong bila malam... nak pergi tandas, pakai kan baju etc..

OIC. I didn't know that they upgraded us bcos of the renovation. I might as well tanya Dr Lawrence this Saturday if he's going to upgrade his patients to 2 bedded again. If not, then might as well go for single bedded nye lah. But like u said, they will charge us for companion stay. Btw, my 2006 delivery I got to pay $600 deposits and upon discharge, I need to top up $300 in all. The rest are paid by medisave.

How do u join the FBI/SBI scheme? Which antenatal receipt you produce at the point of admission? When I gave in 2004 at TMC, deposit $1k. After all medisave deduction, I need to pay balance of $760 for myself and $82.55 for my son. Overall charges for me n baby is $5002. Not sure if the SBI will benefit us somehow?

You are still with Dr Lawrence eh? Im not sure if I should go back to him or to Dr LC Cheng instead. Dr Lawrence Ang's package is still at $550 now? Nak go back to him tak sanggup dia punya waiting time,estimated waiting time masih 1-2 hrs ke? Another thing is Mdm Chan's attitude. Everytime I saw her last time,it somehow affected my mood as well pasal she's very moodykan..nak marah patient tak peduli whether the patient in pain ke urgent case ke, ikut suka hati dia!! So normally what time is your appt? You see him in TMC or Sembawang?

Hi all, i pun tak tau pasal mahal sgt.. My gynae charges alone already 3kplus.. Hmm.. maybe i got complications dat tym. Remember, placenta low. Needed quite a lot of blood bile i was in op. pasal tu tak? i pun tak expect mahal cam tu. we paid deposit $800 bile check in. Time discharge, hb paid 3.3k cash lagi. Nasib baik cukup cash! :p

maybe la pasal complication tu u got higher charged. bile i bace org lain punye bill i was wondering also kenape a lot of difference eh... but i had low placenta too and had some complications la.. stayed for abt ten days in single room at sgh with hb staying in all the way and paid close to 6k cash total bill was close to 10k.. sigh. but it was worth it...

now terpikir jugak, kalau give birth second one, the first one kesian kena tinggal, then kalau duduk hospital lama lama, hai mesti rindu kan dgn yg kat rumah, then kalau macam gitu takkan la my hb nak stay in dgn i lagi, mesti dia pun nak jenguk jenguk my boy kat rumah.... macam sharena cakap kalau tinggal sorang sorang in the room i pon takut....

Ya. I'm still with Dr Lawrence. His fees I'm not sure if there's any changes. I check it out tomorrow for u k? Btw, now I dah tak nampak Mdm Chan. Yang ade Jenny and the other girl. I think dia dah retire tak. My regular checkup is at Sembawang and my appointment time is usually noon during Saturdays. Tak banyak orang. Cos I be the last few lah. As for FBI/SBI card, you get these incentives.

The incentives are as follows:-

1) Fetal assessment scan (Oscar or Detailed scan) /X-ray or Ultrasound scan(excluding laboratory tests and Amniocentesis) at TMC Level 4 ,entitled you to 10% savings.

2) Ante-natal courses (Parentcraft Centre) at TMC Level 3, entitled you to 10% savings.

3) If you deliver your baby at TMC, & occupy a single room - $100.00 off total hospital bill, $80.00 for 2 bedded & $ 60.00 for 4 bedded.

4) If your gynaecologist is in our FBI/SBI program, you enjoy a 5% off professional fees (delivery fee) and paediatrics is 10%off on consultation fee (inpatient & outpatient)

5) If you visit our 24-hour Family Clinic at TMC, yourself, your spouse and new born baby will enjoy a 10% savings.

6) If you or your spouse would like to do a yearly health screening at our Lifestyle Centre at TMC Level 5, both of you will enjoy a 10% savings.

7) Upon signing up for FBI/SBI program, 3 books worth $48.00 are given to you FOC (Childbirth, Breastfeeding & Childcare) which is written by our Lactation Consultant Mrs Wong Boh Boi.

8) We also have quite a number of Retail Partners that tie-up with TMC - maternity wears, baby products, milk products, confinement food and health products etc.

9) Price of card for FBI: $148.00, $188.00 if you are more than 28 weeks into your pregnancy. Price of Card for SBI : $128.00 if your 1st child was delivered in TMC, $148.00 if your 1st child was not delivered in TMC, and $188.00 if you are more than 28 weeks into your pregnancy. (card valid for 2 years) .

10) If you are taking the cord blood banking for your baby with M/s Cordlife, you can save $50.00 per year on the storage fee (start from 2nd to 6th years). For the 1st year, you need to paid a fee of $ 1,200.00 instead of $ 1,400.00 (save $ 200.00)

11) For our TMC pharmacy, you enjoy a 10% savings for purchasing any products except for milk products, pampers and promotional items.

Zu, my cranberry still looks ok although dah nampak tanda tanda colour's fading sikit. When I ordered they only have the solid colours, takde prints like yours.

but the padding mcm tak tebal like your batch tau.
mcm slightly tipis.
the hood also hav shorter string. wic is easier to use

i would recommend bernadette yvonne soong (TMC L4) tapi waiting time pun lama ard 1-1.5h. Now I'm with Dr Adelina Wong (TMC L6). Her waiting time within an hour. So far tak pernah exceed 1h. Tapi dia tak mcm yvonne soong, chop2. Tak bual2 sgt unless u have any questions.. Very friendly and her receps too.. Both gynae i suka. I saja je nk tukar pasal heard adelina also good. She's experienced with paediatrics too.

Actually kalau dah ada FBI, tak yah subscribe to SBI...I nearly did that cos ingatkan first born refer to forst born je. So this time round bnyk pakai discount for checkups. Last time bila preg with farah i applied when 7 mths so OSCAR and satu lagi tu tak dpt disc. Hospital stay pun dpt disc.

I think the antenatal bill tu sume sama eh? Mine with both gynae pun $550. But that only includes consultation je kat clinic. Maternity pkg is diff. charge

Thanks for the recommendation but baby not in a good state la..I have a week before going bck to current gynae.. Yday went for check up..Doc said Im supposed to be in my 8th week tapi baby measured only around 6 weeks..worst of all, we cant detect heartbeat!! Im sad but no matter what, am not losing faithla..this coming sat is my scan again to see the condition..so this whole week really hope for a miracle..
It is just so hard especially hubby leaving for Alabama tomorrow..

Thanks for the well wishers. Kalau I ngan Sharena and IC got to have the same EDD. Kecoh nie. Best jugak, tak boring duduk sorang kat ward. Sharena, who knows skali I pun another week or 2. My EDD suppose to be 28/4 kan. But aft Saturday's appointment, Dr Ang says my cervix already open. I tak tanya pulak how many cm! He insist to see me again in another week. My leg now pun I dah rasa strained. The veins macam pulling gitu. Dr Ang says this is one of the signs.

U jangan be disheartened ok. Insya Allah, everything's going to be ok. Usually, early week is difficult to detect the heartbeat. Don't stress or think too much, just have a nice good rest.

you ni kelakar lah! lepas beranak, i susah nak jalan sangat lepas jahitan tu. Tapi yang paling susah ialah nak tidur lepas beranak. 2 hari kat situ, 2 hari jugak susah nak tidur! I selalu tengok jam terpinga-pinga bila keluarga i nak datang. lol.
