me just got back from a whole day of shopping..hehe. Those wif kids until 18mths muz go taka. Lots of things on offer. Sayangnya FP toys are still the same price. Me will go again next week to buy the big items.

Dah lama seh tak masok sini. Hope you ladies are doing great.

Reading abt BF-ing motivates me to keep BF-ing. My baby is turning 10 mths in mid Mar. My milk supply is dipping, I suppose it's sebab my baby dah drink less since he's on solids, or sometimes I miss my pumping sessions when I'm at work.

I ada jugak experiment kasi dia formula Enfapro, coz some babies tak mo formula langsung after being fully BF for a long time. Thank goodness dia minom. But since formula is so expensive, I think I'll keep BF-ing.

Just wondering, kalau baby 1 yr old, how much milk can we pump out every 4-5 hrly eh?

My baby's 10 mths, every 4-5 hrly i can pump max 120 ml. What a difference eh..dulu time baby 3-4 mths, boleh pump sampai 260 ml! Penuh Avent bottle besar tu...

At Taka Baby Fair tadi, I saw 2 twin stroller. 1 is Aprica, abt $800-that is front & back. Another is Baby Planet (new brand) side by side tapi tak perasan the price.

Personally, I wld recommend the side by side esp the Maclaren since I have used one myself. Looks bulky but is actually lightweight & can manoevure most standard escalators & doors. Also each seat is independent ie: Farah can sit while baby sleeps or vice-versa or they can both lie.

Oh dear, kesian lah. I second all the suggestions given to avoid seafood & to apply calamine. I was 9yrs when I kena chicken pox - tak ingat pun what it was like!

Agree wt Misha, demand=supply so you rajin kan express even if you just latch your baby on. For me, fenugreek works & also having a hot cup of Milo before I express. Stress doesnt help either so dont think to much abt it - just chill & it will come naturally. Good luck wt it!

fenugreek costs around $20 per bottle, buy over the counter. I prefer the brand Greenlife from Guardian. Tried the GNC one cos cheaper, tapi not effective for me. Too bad you stay too far away, cos I ada 1 extra bottle of more milk plus in liquid form, can give you. Dulu bought 2 bottles, tapi I tak serasi, cos my milk decreased after that. Hopefully it will work for you.

Anyways, just for your info, at Taka Baby Fair, Pigeon stand - if you bring in ANY old milk bottle, can buy the Pigeon Perislatic one at 50% off. Worth it seh...

I cuma nampak 2 brands only, Greenlife & GNC brand. GNC lebih murah, cos 100 capsules for $23.60 for VIP members (normal $29.50). Greenlife around $20 for 30 capsules.
You nak lagi murah, beli fenugreek from mustafa. Fenugreek used in Indian cooking, so can buy the seeds/ powder there. Less than $5. Tapi lecehlah nak buat teh. Telan capsule lagi senang!

yup it was nice meeting u and sarah. Next time we can go out again wif more mummies here. Oh yah i had a great time shopping. My hubby was so shocked looking at all my shopping bags when he fetched me. Ended up i spent $200plus sey yesterday. Bought J and Co donuts je dah berpuluh2..haha!!

Yup i saw the pigeon offer but my boy don't like drinking from pigeon teats ah. Tot of getting Bfree as its free from bisphenol-A but at taka they don't have any booth. Hopefully the mum & baby fair at expo has a Bfree booth.

That time when I bought mine was $349 frm Kids Mall - super bargain. The new series of Maclaren is abt $459-$529 I think. If you settle for 2nd hand, they usually cost abt $250-$350 (depends on condition).

Saw 1 mum here her kid having CP is it? There is a vaccine for it rite? Anyone knows when we can do that vaccination agst chicken pox?

hahaha. yalah i ni kuat shopping. Still have some other things to buy tau. Either i wait for robinsons sale since can get extra discount or wait for the next baby fair for the car seat. Looks like all my march pay will go to buying faiq's things.

This morning so hepi saw the sun. Washed so many clothes. Now its getting cloudy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it won't rain. Been asking faiq to sing along wif me the song, "rain rain go away..." hahaha!!

there are a few baby cots there. However i don't know the price and whether inclusive of mattress and bedding or not. Go and check it out ah. How about pump/ steriliser/ stroller/ car seat/ cooler bag?

Bottles, teats, pumps no need cos I intend to breastfeed. Still has unused ones from Darling's so can put in use to give little one water. The rest still in good condition. As for the stroller, first thought of getting the Peg Preggo with the toddler stand at the back. Sasha ever mentioned that toddlers this age won't stand too long. True! Then again thinking of getting the beco baby carrier. Aiyah. We see how it is lah. Sigh....

It's always good for children to get CP..and I mean the full breakout! The more you control it, nanti dah besar the child may get another round of CP when adult, worse kalau tgh preggie dpt CP!! Lagipun vaccines usually contains the bacteria so that body's immune system fights it when they find the same bacteria in future. Personally, I'll let my children get the CP full-blown. Taklah risau the risk of 2nd round.

I prefer the sling to the baby carrier..mcm tk comfy for the baby gitu and I find it heavier to carry the baby in a carrier...maybe cos the pads are slimmer so pressure is more on the body. As for the sling, the weight is more distributed..entah lah ehhh

My hb baru ckp dia nk gi chkout IT fair. I tak larat nk gi. Last yr we went all the way there and had to park so far that we ended up giving it a miss...and that was on the last day! So this year I tak gi lah. Biar my hb gi with his fren.

I do have the baby sling. It's easy to use esp when I breastfeed my daughter. But my hubby ego lah. Dia tak nak use that sling. So thinking of having the beco baby carrier so he can use it to carry Darling on his back.

fyi beco baby carrier is very hard to get. Most designs out of stock. Macam nak rak i went online to try order from US and ship over. Itupun the print that i want is not available. Now still waiting for the reply from a private spree.

Kalau bawa banyak old pigeon bottles, boleh exchange per bottle for 50% off tak? Atau can only exchange 1?? Bila taka baby fair ni habis ah???? I cuma dapat balik singapore hari isnin ni. I hope tak miss baby fair seh.. i nak beli stroller, botol etc.. barang-barang perlu untuk baby semua belum beli!
 
CP: I agree wt Sharena. I did not give my kids vaccinations against CP or all the sorts.
When I was pregnant wt my twins, I had shingles on my left side of the body - itch like hell & no medication except for Vit C jab on my butt for 4days straight.

The doctor said that when I had CP when I was younger, some of the virus still remain in my body so when my body's immune was at the weakest, the virus attacked in the form of shingles! So merana seh...lagi that time on holiday

The chicken pox vaccine is from 15 mths onwards. Both my older kids took it. Senang aje, lepas tu tak demam pun and no side-effects. However, the vaccine does not 100% guarantee that you tak kena CP. Most probably, will not get it, tapi if you're so unlucky as to get it after the jab, then it will be very mild CP, tak sampai satu minggu. When I had the full-blown CP in pri. school, I had to miss school for 2 weeks! I don't want my kids to go through the same misery (all the itchiness & being covered in calamine lotion) for 2 wks, so I rather give them the jab.

i did look around at kiddy palace but don't have in his size. The smallest is for 1 yr old. I have ever walked past that seafolly kids. Will looked there next week. This week me avoiding cityhall. Pening looked at so many people.

the swimming baju for babies u can get at moms n babes if im not wrong...i bought for my baby boy dat time kat sana ..its those permanent swim diaper , takyah pakai disposable lagi...$20++...reasonable price!! if not wrong got 6-12mths....

I read you had shingles during your pregnancy with your twins eh? How does it look like huh? I dont know whats mine, but it was so itchy like hell. Doc cuma kasi some lotion and medicine to soothe the itchiness but so far it didnt help much.

Talking about playdates..there's new place in East Coast the Playground @Big Splash. Any mummies been there already to check out? Looks like a nice place for playdates kan?? Maybe can organise one there in future after I dah ok sikit la..hopefully I'll be...soon *finger crossed*

Oh yah, i'm trying to get a baby carrier for my gal. Tak tau nak bli Patapum baby carrier or the new BECO. From wat i know, Patapum is light and the fabric not v thick. Jadi tak panas sgt mcm ergo. But Beco 4th generation bole sling. Ade suggestions tak? My sling da tetas la.. And sling pun v diff to hv both handsfree. Appreciate korang nye comments!!

Your rashes is all over the plc or just on 1 side of the body? Because wt shingles, its very localised. I had rashes on the left side aje, on my back & upper thighs. I cant remember what it looks like but it rupa mosquito bite only that it was in clumps arnd that paticular area & the itch was one hell of a kind sampai malam nak tidur pun tak boleh & I was in tears!

I think the 4th Generation BECO is a good buy pasal its flexible esp since you used the sling before. Personally, I still prefer the Ergo though

Info for all mummies here,
Beco 4th Gen has been discontinued. So supplier is finishing whatever stock they have. Beco Butterfly has been recalled due to complaints that some babies fall out of the carrier.

I am considering pikkolo baby carrier. Not available in spore yet. Its like ergo. Only difference is pikkolo can let baby face front also.

Thanks for the info on swimsuit. Will try looking at paragon and mums and babes.

Sasha, the ergo u mentioned is the ERGO CARRIER? Dat mcm bulky lah. Then the material also thick. Takut panas jgk. BUt bile i carry Adam dat tym, best tg is tak rase berat badan dia weighing on my shoulder.

Tadi lepas balik IKEA, i singgah pat the Mickey Mouse cafe pat Anchorpoint. Wat a disappointment! The menu was quite pathetic la... Ingat mcm Globetrotters. Service bole tahan la maybe pasal baru bukak. But one gd tg, its halal. Oh yah, IKEA tgh renovation lah. Mcm messy gitu.

That was wat I like abt the Ergo because you really cant feel the weight of the baby - less straining. Although I stopped using it at 9-10mths wt Saarah lah ;)

But a friend of mine is still using the Ergo & her DD is 16mths now!!!

I baru ingat nak gi IKEA next wk, guess I will wait - cant shop wt mess all arnd lah

This morning, I had the best Indian food at Bedok Reservoir, Eunos CC. The thosai and appom is so delicious. Better than Komala's. Any mom who stay in the east and mengidam appom, should try.

Shermin and mademoiselle, congratulations!! More babies popping out this year.

There are so many carriers available these days. Used to have a Bjorn but sold it off for an Ergo. Right now, still using the Ergo for my 2nd boy. Turning 15 mths soon. Sling is good when the baby's small but once they're heavy, I find it a real strain on the shoulder.
So many to choose from, mata naik rambang.

you mentioned earlier that at Taka baby fair can exchange old bottles for new peristaltic ones right? This may sound stupid,but kalau exchange bottle ajer w/o cover boleh tak? hehe... I have a couple of used avent bottles tapi there are not enuf covers to go around coz i still need them to seal my EBM. But this is such a good deal, I hope to exchange some and purchase a pigeon one!

Babies fallig out of beco carriers? That's super dangerous!!

I used to have ERGO, tapi benda tu very bulky & berpeluh2 ibu kalau carry baby. So I sold it off shortly after.

I pakai hotsling, that's good, tapi when baby gets heavy, berat jugak.

COMBI carrier pon bagus..i can't remember what it's called but it's around $130 gitu. Tapi dah lama seh tak pakai tu benda. I wonder if my baby can still fit in there!

I still use my MIM sling, and my baby is turning 10 mths.

Macam2 sling seh, dah try :p
