Any lady has gone thru the process of adoption(baby from overseas) as a single Singaporean lady?

Hi, I am 45 this year, Singaporean, planning to adopt a baby(from overseas) but the process is quite a challenge, right from start of Home Study Report(HSR) till the last step. I was wondering if I can hear from some single lady like me who has this experience to share more. Thank you.
