Any 1st-time Mummies?

Hello first time mummies! I'm also having my first baby, pregnancy via ivf. Don't really know what to expect, grateful for all the sharing and support here, and from family and close friends.

I am exactly 8 weeks today, morning sickness (or should i say whole day sickness) started around week 6. It was really bad in week 6 and 7 but i find eating Jacob's cream crackers help to calm it down. Also, the nausea is stronger if my stomach is empty.

A few days ago the MS eased a little, or could be i got used to it...i can actually feel hunger now! Never knew I'd miss feeling hungry lol!:p

Hi mummy to be! Same here with me. Im exactly 8wks today too if my EDD is right. My MS(whole day sickness) started frm when i was in week 5. Survived 3 wks alr of bad MS and it hasnt slowed down. It seems like forever to reach 2nd trimester(as im hoping it will go away by then)! Cant seem to eat much food due to the nausea and losing weight but im always hungry too lately haha. Does jacob's cream cracker helps? I have not tried it before. I should buy some if it does.

Hi Jammy07! When is your edd? Mine is 18 Aug. I was reading some posts on the ang moh forums likes babybump and whattoexpect...and a lot of mummies there recommended saltines...so i decided to try jacobs, and it works for me. So so happy when i took the first bite and it tasted so delicious! Hahaha

In the mean time, have small bites every few hours. Hope your ms ease up soon, only 4 more weeks to go to 2nd tri!

Lol ok. Cannot wait for scan. Btw... I am taking red dates water now as seemed healthier than sugar drinks...no harm right?

i heard red dates should be quite good for preggies.. since pregnant i only crave for chestnut drinks >< which they said is too cooling and better not intake those

Hi there,
Just curious, anyone knows what to expect for first appt? A bit nervous....

Hello! Imma first time mommy too. EDD in Sept. Seen a gynae on Monday to confirm the preg. I was really really nervous and scared but the scan was painless! My gynae said the scan is important to ensure that its not an ectopic pregnancy. Dont worry about it! Cheers!

Hi gerjelli, I'm a mummy of 4 kids. Do visit e Gynae asap cos scan can check whether baby attachment in your uterus is correct or not. All e best for your pregnancy.

Appt alrdy made. Will be 8 weeks when meet gynae. Some family members did not want me to go too early also :) but I went by which appt I could make with gynae (needed time to decide also as it was holidays when I found out).

Thanks for your advice :)

I think when you call to make an appt with the gynae they will also request you to go in around 6-8 weeks! You should be able to hear baby's heartbeat during 8 weeks scan! Congrats!

May I know which Gynae are you ladies with? My first appointment was with Dr Denas Chandra. Im quite comfortable with him but also keeping my options open. May want to try another Gynae. Thanks in advance!

Hi to all first time mums!

Being pregnant is not easy and mine was not smooth sailng too. But with a supportive hubby and a gynae, we can sail through it.

I am with Dr Peter Chew and he is fantastic! He is a very experienced gynae and i feel totally safe in his hands.

Hi all mothers-to-be,

Can someone add me into your whatsapp group? 96404193. Thanks!

I'm currently 20w 5d and my EDD is on 27th May 2017.

Hi mummies. I am suffering from nausea all day long and due to it i can't seem to eat. And if i dont eat, i'll end up getting acid reflux which is worse and i'll puke out acids. Im coming to 10wks preggy. it has been hindering on my daily life as i am too weak to do anything.
Any remedies to help ease? Or anyone else in the same predicament as me? Im a FTM.
