Hi... just went to KKH to see Dr June Tan..
I cannot comment yet on the rooms and delivery suite. .. just on the clinical visit. . I find the waiting time way too long... and the doc session with you is just 5 mins or most 10 mins.. waiting time for various procedures are just too long... overall my appointment is 3.30 and I only managed to leave KKH at 6

I am unsure of the price of KKH and Gleneagles now but I have heard from my gynae who is currently under private practice that the price is not much different.
The price of KKH is not that cheap if you are under the private suite scheme.
My No. 1 was delivered in KKH.
My No. 2 will be delivered in Gleneagles since my gynae has moved to Gleneagles now.
It depends what scheme you are under to enjoy more subsidy and rebate. If you are a private suite patient, it's the same as going to private clinic.
The price of KKH is not that cheap if you are under the private suite scheme.

You will get the same gynae to check on you under kkh private suite scheme. Your waiting time is not that long too. You can go walk walk n they will send you a sms to let you know if its your turn soon.

I cannot advice much on cpf cos mine was emerg c section n there are 2 cost to it. Not accurate to provide

Kkh private suite is priced like outside gynae but medication is definitely cheaper in kkh compared to outside. In kkh private suite, everything is done in house which is also lower cost compared to outside private but for private you got to go different pl for different tests.
Many had commented on price increase in kkh. (Need to do more research) but I think many hospital will up their cost. Even confinement nanny is now charged at 2.5k I heard, increase $300 compared to y2011.

I am now staying in gleneagles. Heard they just changed their CEO. It may not really be directly important to ppl like me. BUT the service and quality will largely depend on these management ppl, whether they value quality and service or cut cost and max profit!
Gleneagles service has dropped. I am staying here now as I forumed these. The 7 day staff seems insufficient to attend to the 20 patients on my floor. There are only 4 night staff around to service the 20 patients. Do you think it's enough????

I delivered by lo this December in kkh under private rates with dr. June tan.. It costed me around $ 6k including everything!( as I did not have any medisave or subsidy option).. Services are good and I opted for 4 bedder.... Midwives are caring and supportive... I opted epidural for normal delivery...
All hospitals are same.. What matter is ur faith on doctor and how comfortable you are with doctor.... All the best

I've delivered both in kkh n gleneagles. I have good experience with both hospitals.

I stayed in both before. Svc was great.... Nurses are v attentive n knowledgable. Charges wise... Can't recall though....
