hi. just some advice. if you plan to breastfeed, ensure that your stretchable binder/corset/girdle is not the type with stiff-frame or what is known as the "fishbone corset". I have many clients who bought these types of binder/corset without realizing the frame would cause discomfort when bending during breastfeeding. Also, its very important that the binder/corset does not constrict/pressure at the base of the breast ie the supply point.

Many clients also make the mistake of buying the wrong size. Too wide for the abdomen area. A good estimate the width stretches about 4 fingers above your pubic area (the mound of soft fatty tissue where the majority of your pubic hair grows.) to about 4-fingers above the belly-button.

For c-sect delivery, be more careful, and to avoid stiff-binder and the ones with hooks in the front cos the wound need some time to heal, without the added constriction.

Since you be wearing the binder/corset for long period, ensure that the material is comfortable, breathable, lasting and easy to put on. Many stretchable-binders on sale at retail-pharmacies using materials that are rather stiff and hard.

*For my clients who opt for the Malay traditional postnatal massage, I use traditional wrap (non-stretchable, breathable) on the inside and another stretchable binder on the outside, after the tummy massage, with proven result
