Faithz17/ Coralpip > the other pregnant lady is from another dept. diff location too. They have opinion abt me taking long leave n they got to take up my admin job. They even paste words on the desk calling me names..



i told my boss that it would be better if they allow me to leave cause i cant stand the environment plus they should hire someone that can work. i told them i really no mood to work at all. Talk to my husband just now too abt the unpaid leave n he say no point getting since things isnt changing even if i go back after my leave again.

 


adv_sports - u had the prenatal yoga trial session over the weekend right? How was it? I'm thinking of going for it.. but staying in the east leh.. Any mummies in the east interested?

Hi ladies, saw u all discussing bout caretaker for baby aft ML. My mil will prob help to take care cos she stays few blocks away. She is happy to do so but she herself is not confident if she can handle. We will try out first but if she can't, then we will get a maid to help her out. At least she can help us supervise. But we try not to cos it will be more taxing on us to get a maid.



I'm a teacher so every year there are sure to hv a few preg teachers. One of my colleague in same dept is also preggy, I think just a few weeks later than me. I'm glad to hv company. But the thing is, my P, VPs, HOD are all single or hv no kids so I think they dun really understand. One management staff said before, preg also can't always mc! Well not to me, but this just shows how unfeeling even 'school culture' can be. Some of my colleagues just sell themselves to e sch. Sick also dun wan to mc...

yea all this ppl really spoil the market.

really sick also die die must go to work then expect everybody to follow them by not taking mc.

the ppl in my office do that too and worst is they dun take leave as well.

 
BJY: what right have your boss got to stop you from resigning? I thought if just forward letter to HR, they cannot stop you?

bunny_mummy u r lucky have MIL help you take care... my MIL is working and those very traditional type, didn't take care much of hubby when he young (left with grandma) so dun really know how to take care also... my own mother if i want her to help, her condition is to quit her job and retire and live off me forever liao... lagi more cannot afford... so now trying to figure out if any infant care or nanny or babysitter after ML... somemore my notice period is 2 mths... haiz... anyone know any nanny/ babysitter in Eunos/ Paya Lebar area??

Your company very funny, you want to quit also cannot. Then they show you black face. Your work pl culture no good, better dun stay there for too long. Like what Sus and joyjoy said, good boss very impt. My boss also not married but she pretty understanding cos I did tell her I am trying to conceive prev. But recently got ppl resign, she abit gan cheong and wants me to go back. I told her I will help her from home. I used to come from such work environment, but that time I am single and yes, every one "pia" alot..even holiday also go back to work, all b/c of $$$.

Nowadays teacher also very "chiam". Cannot take MC...I think if prinicpal + HODs are "lao char bors" who are not married can make the situation worse.

 
Pipi, yeah my P is married but no kids. Dun think she intend to cos looks very career minded. I hope she does.... Haha! My VP, HOD all 40+ not married. Sell their soul to work type....

Now I know why teachers quit after their bond, cos of such P+HODs lah. Now I know why gah-,ent want to match-make those singles, so that they have a life. Gah-ment must have received multiple complaints, saying that their single colleagues making them work and work and work.



I got one colleague who is in HK, she can reply email at 1am...I think she "siao" one...no man in her life, she also dun have to be sooo no life right. I hope she got friends lor...else I pity such ppl...

Nowadays many teachers go to tuition agency to teach. Flexible hrs...and no ECA. Better off than in school. (Now we know why all kids need tuition cos the good teachers all run away from sch.)



But, I must also say that some schs are very good. Pro-family. I have many friends who are teachers...at least 10 of them. One of them took 1 yr no pay leave to have #2.

You should cc a copy of your resignation to HR. This is to make sure HR is informed about your resignation . If your manager choose to ignore , also bor bian.

 
BJY, i've been reading silently. maybe your boss wanted you to have some time to clear your thoughts first. afterall once he/she or HR accepts your resignation, it's very hard to be revoked. facing a crying or tearing subordinate and knowing your particular delicate suitation, he/she might have thought you were agitated. this is what i would probably do also if my girls come crying to me. most companies i know would be more than happy to have a pregnant staff resigned on their own accord. composed your thoughts, and talk to your boss again on your decision once you've made up your mind. i'm sure your boss will respect your choice.



pipi: replying emails at 1am... my ex-boss expected us to reply emails at anytime, regardless 1am 3am or 5am! used to have to sleep with my handphone and blackberry (hate this technology but was force onto me!) under my pillow. of course, that wasn't the life for me after marriage.

sometimes i also just dun understand... since employees are entitled to all these annual leave & medical leave shld take when necessary, afterall work is work no need to go till that extent so "pin ming". Saw a few cases, employees diagnose with cancer/illness - end of the day company just ask them to go and no compensation given at all... Fybroid.

I had that during my second preg n so long doesn't interfere with growth if baby then ok.

My second Gynae took it out when #2 came out n it was very big Liao .. 7cm! Dr woody din take out for me during my 1st. Anyway I changed him towards the end before my second was delivered.

So should be ok unless gynae raise concerns.



Me still no appetite n puking. Ate half bowl of rice then cannot Liao, lie until now ...

Puke oso will wet myself. Use panty liners is better.

 
Suddenly cant stand the smell of fish but force myself to eat cos hubby says I have zero nutrition since puke everything out.



Soon gonna puke ... Sigh.

 
Lost 400g after puking ... Later will be hungry n dunno what to eat. Only been eating bread till I so sian.



Any recommendations?

Speaking of colleagues, I have one super no life colleague who like to send emails over the weekends and the first thing she say when she saw me at work is did u see my email?

I was like wah Liao u think I superwoman I have not even log in to the system how to see your email?

 
Joyjoy, hamtaro, pipi, may > I gave up talking to them. They ask me to go for another month of unpaid leave n I nv go work today. They say after I come bk if I still insist I wanted to resign then they won't stop me. So I tell them to remember wat they say dun in the end reject my letter again. But after I got home frm work yesterday I have fever. Too tired with it.

Although I am working from home, I also "bu hao guo". The new hire call me to go thru the systems with her....I spent 1 hr explaining 1 system with her till I tired. *panting* But bo bian, I got to help my boss do it cos my colleague is all alone.

Are you the one jio-ing sengkang, buangkok, hougang -ers to swim. I wanted to ask you guys if you can make it on week days. cos if gynae give me green light, i will take up aqua aerobics on sat...so I dun think will meet you guys for further swimming.

went to c doctor yesterday, this month a lot of MC le.. boss emailed me to ask if i m ok.. dunno how to answer her back..

i also feel super tired for this pregnancy, yesterday talked to doctor, she thot 2nd trimester shld be ok le but how come still feel tire leh.. i also puzzled..

Sat, went out for lunch then later on bought a cup of ice blended then sat there to rest le, hubby asked me where else to go but i dun feel like walking, juz want to rest.. less than an hour lunch made me so tire.. my gosh..

luckily hubby help to take care of #1, feel so guilty that i lie on bed/ sofa and she can only play on her own..

sometimes i puke, #1 will pat pat me.. sob sob.. feel i m so lousy..

Pipi, i'm the one that jio-ing for swimming at The Rivervale - BKK area. I'm ON for weekday, coz sometime i go swim at 9pm. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] or early morning also can, coz i work 4 days a week from home, so can go swim ard 7.45am, then back by 8.45am, shower then logon by 9.15am. Which day and what timing you looking at? i will be starting my aqua aerobic class at KKH on 12 March. You joining that intake? Then we can meet and go together. i'm so irritated by my big boss. He came into the office offering us food. then he announced damn loud to the whole office 'so, christine, u can eat more rite since got 2 mouths' then i jus keep quiet and smile and shake my head. then he said 'did Your GYNAE bla bla bla..' i was like WTH!!!!!



He's a father of 3 leh!!! No wonder until now still no son yet. argh!!!!

Work is also tiring for me, but i am currently on a contract job job even though i have been with this company for 2 yrs le.. As i due in End August, and my contract ends in End Sep, i am only entitled to maximum 2 months maternity leave if i take 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after...

I announced to my boss in US last Fri during the performance feedback. He generally sound happy for me, since he knows I have been waiting for 4 yrs, but well, let's see the true things after this. I just told him i'm 2 months nia, coz don't want him to feel that I purposely cheat him till after the salary review then tell him. Cheeky me. :0)

 
am so looking forward to my scan on sat! I've finally decided to go back n see dr benjamin tham at tmc... prob can see gender already right since i'm already 16weeks today..
