(2011/05) May 2011

Hi Kristle,

I have it all day long , at night is not so serious, maybe i am resting on the bed.

Hope this is alright, i am only 30 weeks ..

thank you for your sharing

Hi,

I gave birth to my baby in Jan'11.

I have this Latido baby bath tub which comes with a stand to let go as I don't need it anymore.

[IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/messages/3877999/5229799.jpg][IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/messages/3877999/5229800.jpg]

Bought it with the intention for grandparents to bathe baby standing up but end up I only used the tub to bathe baby myself.

Used the tub for only 1 mth but did not use the stand at all. It also comes with a tube to release water from the tub.

Condition: Almost brand new

Purchased it at S$79, would like to let go at $45.

Interested, please pm me.

hi mommies, if u see a preg woman limping, that will be me. Sigh.. don't know why all of a sudden my right hip pain when I walk. Maybe sit too long and stood up fast just now. Oh.. in pain and still must squeeze with the going home crowd on MRT. Grrr.. Raffles place is not a gd place to take a cab!

Re: FIsh oil

starfruit, ya, the nurse told me to stop taking at week 36 during last visit. can continue to take after give birth ... jus wonder why... hehe ...

mummies, hv great evening ...

Ling i found out abt the fish oil. Appafently recommended to stop at 36weeks abt 1 mth before full term to prevent excessive bleeding during labour. Apparently it may cause excessive bleeding if u take it too clise to ur labour. U can cont to take after delivery so it will pass on to your bb thru your BM.

Anyone heard about strep B test? at which week do we need to do it?

Oh, starfruit and ling, i din know about the fish oil, i'm 35th week and still taking it, my gynae never said anything, but i'll ask him on nx appt [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Kristle

I am planning to take at least 3 weeks earlier. Maybe one week as MC, cos my job is quite taxing, have to deal with running kids..

I was tested positive for strep b. That means i got to be on antibotic drip when i go thru the labour. My gynae assure me is nothing serious and chances are low to affect the baby as long as i am on drip. I had yeast infection and heart problem. Sigh... Wonder how can i go through normal labour in that case.

Morning mummies, I am sooo tired!!! Recently keep waking up at 4++am and can only sleep at 5++...today worse...awake till now....oh no!!! How am I going to last the whole day....=(

Dolly: Yeah I bought the spare parts at mum&babes at 20% off ytd! Their opening sale...one day sale...and got the bundle set of 4 nuk bottle+nipple wipes @ $32!

Ling/apple: Does the fish oil applies to DHA pills too? I am taking the DHA pills from GNC le...so must stop during the 36 weeks too? Actually there are many types of fish oil...v.confusing...prenatal kind and pure fish oil...wonder which is really good....

ook I am really super tired!!!

Dolly: ya lo they also issuing member card with $10 purchase...good deal ya? Thanks to you too...if not I won't know they are selling. After the discount it is abt the same price as those bp...[IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

starfish: woah.. I didn't know abt the fish oil thing. No wonder I was bleeding heavily and they had to give me a jab to help my uterus contract faster after delivery of #2.

Good morning..TGIF!!! And is a shopping day for me [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

stafruit - thanks for the fish oil info..shall stop on week 36 onwards eventhough mine is DHA algae oil.

Morning, ladies!

Guess what? I delivered already! Pre-eclampsia got worse and docs advised immediate c-section. Baby is very tiny and in NICU now. She will probably be there for at least a month or two.

We were totally unprepared, so any advice on what we should buy immediately would be much appreciated. Also, are there any more baby fairs coming up after the one at Taka?

morning ladies. ya! TGIF =)

apple,

how was ur durian feast yest? hehehehe.

i duno if Sean Lau Photography has any package for nb. i may chk tat out =)

Kristle,

i dun intend to start my ML any earlier than on the day i deliver =)

newtoitall,

take care and try to walk slowly.

Viman,

Despite ur baby coming out way so early, wld still like to congras u on the safe arrival of ur gal =)

Dun worry, ur gal will be in gd hands of the specialists there.

Went OG last evening. Most things on 20% disc(blue price tags). Anyone who missed the previous sales can still go n buy. Until this sun. Best of all, no crowd! Got b pads, milk bags, changing mat, nursing bras, a set of bb clothes etc. My bb shopping shld b completed now [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Viman: congrats on bb arrival. Yep I'm sure bb will b fine [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

Viman congratulations!! R u ok??how's the baby?? Wats ur bb's weight?Today my 33rd week!they will induce labor for mi next Friday..

Thanks, gals. Baby weighed 990 gm at birth. She's doing all right so far, but can't really see whether she looks like her daddy or me, because of all the tubes around her.

I am doing mostly ok, though still struggling with the high BP that pre-eclampsia brought on. Having daily blood tests and am bed-ridden with meds on IV. Haven't been able to go and see the baby yet.

Must say the KK docs are amazing. I am so so so glad we came here, these docs really know how to handle such high-risk cases and help make timely and good decisions that are best for us and our babies.

Viman, congrats on the arrival too! Take care of yourself ya~ bb needs you once she's ok too.

Julbee, you gonna induce 34th week? is everything ok?

Val, I'm checking out Sean Lau too. =)

Anyone knows where to get cheap nursing bras that are without hooks behind and v-neck to open it oneside for breast feeding? I saw some selling at 19.90 on BPs. any cheaper alternative?

viman : congrats on the arrival of your bb girl... do take good care of yourself...

angie : nay... it's ok... it's best to check the parts yourself as those parts are not cheap...

Viman, there's the OG sales going on and Isetan private sales today if you need to grab bb stuff. I think you need to prepare the 1 set of clothes and a wrap blanket to bring your girl home (prepare first). At home, you'll need basic bb necessities first - diapers, bath tub, swaddling blanket, mittens, socks, cotton balls/wool, hanky etc. yourself - breastpads, maternity pads etc..must rem to take care of yourself k!

Viman: congrats! Take care of bb and yourself! [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] Is this your 1st kid?

I'm from the March 2011 thread. I have a Brazillian Expertise (located at Orchard Central) voucher that gives you 2 sessions of brazilian wax for sale.

Didn't get a chance to use it as I popped before I was able to get myself waxed.

Voucher selling at $50 (for 2 sessions). PM me if you are interested.

V, yup..I must count myself lucky that I m able to hold on for a month.I can't b too greedy to aim for full term.I guess 34 weeks is so much better than giving birth on that day my waterbag bursts..

Good morning mummies!

Viman:- congratz on ur princess arrival! U sure r in good hands at KKH! Hmms probably if u r intending to bfeed ur baby, u may wanna start ur milk supply now by pumping?? And check with ur doc when isit ok to start feeding ur princess ur bmilk.. Maybe now? Or later. Check with the docs there, sure they know abt it. Don't wry!!

Julbee:- u r in week?? Wah so fast doc advise u to induce next fri le..

Vinman - congrats and take care.

Am sure the KKH team will take good care of you and bb. U can get your hb to grab a set of bb clothes, receiving blanket from Mothercare at KKH. No need to run here and there.

And probably u may want to get a good breastpump. I believe u r unable to latch your bb..so best is get a pump to express and let the nurse to feed your bb. At this moment, I think u can loan pump from KK, check with the nurse.

Val - My lunch overloaded my stomach! So I don't really slurping my durian [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/sad.gif] only took a couple of seeds. The rest now sitting in my fridge.

I don't really like Sean Lau..I find him too commercialise.

Viman, congratz on the arrival of your princess.. she is in good hand.. u rest well okie...

julbee, next friday is the day.. excited? all the best k.. u can drag till 34 wks already very good.. jia you.. and take keep us update...

Julbee:- yea, its good that they managed to drag till 34weeks since u waterbag has alrd burst long ago. We'll look forward to ur good news next week!!

Blurlemon:- yea, excited, everyone will be pop-ing in a few weeks time. How fast now.. Mummies we r really counting days alrd!!

V:- U know what's in the goodie bag?? Kinda curious, see if I can ask my mum go grab & buy some other stuffs there, live near near only.

Thanks ladies! M keeping my fingers crossed. The docs say I m very gd already.so anytime deliver is ok.but I m aiming for next fri.jus hope no infections sets in these 7 days.

Excited?more of scared!! My first pregnancy...

Viman

Congrats to you and ur baby's safe arrival! It's the start of motherhood for you, all the best to you and ur baby gal =)

OG sale

Are there any nursing bras on sale there? Want to try out befroe getting cos I don't really trust buying from forum BP although some really selling cheap [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif]

viman,

congratulation on ur new born and her safe arrival to this world..

my hubby will be flying back from 20 apr to 2 may to accompany and witness my labour..

now scare tt i might deliver before 20 apr or refuse to come out.. my edd is 1 may..

Have e intention to induce (will be 38w3d)labour.. any one have advise or share on induce labour?

btw i will be delivering in Mt A..

Hi Viman, Congrats to arriving of your gal, though is too early, but wish her well and healthy ~

Hi Julbee, what happen to you that doc need to induce delivery for you at 34 weeks ?

it seems anyone of us can give birth anytime and not till full term?

Sorry i am the first time mother, and i supposed due in 22 May ..

but i think i experience the braxton hick now ..

hope i can tahan till full term..

kay: from the magazine it states - cordlife water bottle, MAM pacifier, MAM breast pads, questo breastfeeding guide, kiwi kleen sample, dryper diapers, $10 mothercare voucher, palmer's gift pack (i think sachets), parkway health magnet, cerelac diaper changing mat, cerelac oats and prunes, rice DHA samping sachets and perfecto italian pizza cutter (???)

xuanmin, i read earlier there's eternity maternity bras there too. same as the ones I got from BHG so u can check them out at OG.

icejelly, not everyone can carry till full term so it depends on the bb and the mummy's condition. some i heard carry pass the full term date so be prepared to pop anytime after 36 weeks. tell your hubby that too..mine's due 19 may i told him not guarantee will be 19 could be 2 weeks earlier, 3 weeks..no one knows ya =)

once 37wks will consider full term...

serene, i dun encourage induce labour.. cos i heard so many story abt induce labour end up emergency csect.. and read from somewhere.. induce labour is more painful.. so u are advise to take epidural...i dun see a pt to induce labour unless bb is over term or not growing well in mummy.. let nature take its course is alway better.. but while waiting u can try other way of natural inducing like nipple simulation/BD, some say by eating pineapple can also help to induce naturally.. but i dunno how true.. no harm trying..
