are u seeking 2nd opinion? 2yrs antibiotics is no joke leh!

roxy - I went to read up on it. Does Ariel has freq UTI? saw another forum has discussion on this and someone recommended giving "SPIRULINA as it increased healthy lactobacillus flora. It actually suppresses bad bacteria like e-coli and candida yeast and stimulates beneficial lactobacillus flora and bifidobacteria. It boosts immunity and clears bacterial infections too.
So went into more findings about Spirulina and found that spirulina is a natural food and its cell wall is very soft. It is wasy to digest even for babies. Beside that it has the FIVE MOST IMPORTANT nutrients needed in human health"

MTDT, i agree on what u said too, i also super tempted by the pics Genesis post.. some more so baby friendly.. good man.. =) but hubby difficult to take leave, i was looking thru the rates for end year, xmas period during ryan's birthday rooms are mostly taken & they propose other close dates, close to 5K! think got to postpone to next yr liaoss
 
anyone using pigeon sterilizer here? want to us how do we clean the metal plate below using lemon? i lose the instruction booklet

Yuki, my sterlizer is pigeon brand. u just squeeze some lemon and place some water and let it stay for a while...the yellowish thing should disappear. I didn't use lemon but I used white vinegar before...hope this helps!

Looks fun!! I rem last time I went to one when I was a child but forgt which one Liao. It was v child friendly and has many activities for children. I also tempted to go. Maybe it will be my next year holiday trip for Phoebe. Hehe.

my colleague daughter also had this but his was grade 4 reflux.. so whenever his daughter had fever, she had to be hospitalised.. he also sought 2nd opinion but this is the recommended course of action..
DMSA is a procedure whereby they will inject radioactive substance into the bb to see whether the kidney is fine and any kidney scarring...

nope, she only had 1 time UTI and the specialist upon seeing the result also agreed that its likely sample contamination... haiz i shld have retaken the urine test then.. but the gold standard for treating UTI (according to my pd) is bb must go for ultrasound to ensure kidneys everyting ok, then MCU (whereby they grade the reflux there) if reflex is ok (grade 1 - 2)then treatment is considered complete .. unfortunately she has grade 3 so must go for dmsa to determine whether the bout of UTI has scarred her kidney... if it has corrective surgery is needed... if havent recommended course is 2 yrs antibiotics... im also super reluctant to put her on antibiotics specially as we have already tested he urine 3 more times over 3 mths and each time its negative... but he said the antibiotics is very mild n wouldnt harm her.. as compared to her developing any infection in her urine and then backflow to her kidneys causing possible scarring and long term, possible kidney failure. Im also giving her probiotics, live lactobacillus...
 
Yuki, i didn't add water to the lemon juice. I squeeze lemon juice onto the metal plate. Leave on for an hour (accordingly to the instructions. but nowadays i leave for less than that, still works). Wipe off with a soft cloth.

If clean with lemon, suppose to be weekly. sometimes i do it bi-weekly.
 
roxy (daffyz) : or u try TCM. Maybe will cure her instead of antibotics? Also DMSA sounds harmful to the body as need to inject radioactive substance into the bb . Radioactive substance is known to cause cancer so better not take that but go to TCM or seek 2nd opinion 1st esp when her urine test is neg.

I went to the the club med Phuket.only Phuket has bb club. If u have children above 2 think they will enjoy more as they have more activities for them. Btw think DBS cards have promo nw u all go check it out! HaiZz.... Time flies!! Tomolo check out Liao sianz!!

For the 1 yr birthday bash, may I suggest doing it earlier say 20th or 21st Nov?

Coz I thought end Nov and start Dec, everyone will be busy planning celebration for our own little ones.

Aiyo, recently some of us here like quite suay...My bb fell off the sofa......cry and cry..happen in splits seconds, I shouldn't have left him alone for that few seconds...sigh....hope he's fine.
