1st Trimester

I'm 38years old in my 1st trimester about 5 weeks+ now experiencing some brown color discharge. went to gynae yesterday for ultrascan but can only see the embryo measuring 2.05cm in dimeter and could not see anything else yet. there's a transparent cyst and is harmless according to gynae.

he giving me hormones bills, folic acid and go back 2 weeks later to do another scan to check if any heartbeat or whatsoever. if not, will be consider miscarriage.

anybody could advise should I go for 2nd opinion or is this normal?

I had bleeding (red blood) in my 5th week too. Doc put me on progesterone and after that bleeding stopped. Had a checkup 2 weeks later and could see little baby forming. I'm now almost 14 weeks along. Important thing is to rest more and don't worry!!

Hello mummy, typically what is a really bad sign is fresh red blood discharge. But I am not even a nurse so my comment is worthless ya.

Therefore my recommendation is that if your mind tell you that you are still worried and not at ease, it would be great to find another gynac of your choice for a 2nd opinion. Your mental well being is equally critical ya.
