Hey Yeng Lin, I'm from the same July 2011 fb group as you, but my #2 is due in July 2013 instead. I'm co-sleeping with #1 also, thinking either one of them will have to be in a different room.. probably have to train #1 to sleep alone..

Sapphire, I'm not sure coz I don't know how I will manage with a young toddler and a newborn with no other family members here, so a bit torn. Coz if I go back to SG to give birth then my hubby can't be with me coz he is still studying here but will be done by end of next year.

dancebaby, I think as long as your doc says you are okay to travel in your 3rd trimester, and you are having a single pregnancy with no complications, it should be fine.

Hi dancebaby, I am also going to be travelling in my 3rd trimester (~30 weeks). Will be taking an 8-hr direct flight to Singapore from Brisbane and back again. You will need to get a letter from your gynae to state that you are fit for travel. Different airlines will have their own policies so...

Jan-ice: No worries, I think it depends on the field of study, he's in science so a lot of people will go on to do a PhD. Quite stressful though, I don't know whether to return to part-time or full-time work after my maternity leave. How about you? Will you find a job a few months after giving...

suying: Thanks. [IMG=http://www.singaporemotherhood.com/forumboard/clipart/happy.gif] Jan-ice: Yup he is Singaporean also, I was lucky that my boss knows his supervisor so was recommended for a job. Otherwise I think it wouldn't be so easy being a foreigner.

Jan-ice: I came here to look for work, was just accompanying my hubby when he accepted a scholarship to do his PhD in Australia. Luckily managed to find a full-time job here if not I don't know how we would cope. It must be tough being apart from hubby, it's good that he is planning to return to...

Jan-ice, suying: I'm in Australia for work while my hubby is studying. Unfortunately we are not Australian PRs so no childcare/family benefits for us here. Finances-wise will be quite challenging for us. Will be here for another 2-3 years I think, but really miss Singapore sometimes..

Speaking of thalassemia, I'm still waiting for my amniocentesis results for that, coz DH and I both have thal minor. There's a 25% chance of hydrops fetalis which the doc said will not be able to survive after 33 weeks. Just praying every day that bb is normal..
