Disappointed in Marriage

I wish I had not gotten married. Think I will be happier single. My husband likes to blame me for everything. If cook only 2 dishes, he will criticize why did not cook 3 dishes. If cook 3 dishes, he will say 2 is enough, why have 3 dishes? It's very hard to please him, he must pick on...

Is there something wrong with my mentality?

Actually both Waif's & Apple's cases are not that unusual. It usually happens in very traditional families with old-fashioned attitudes regarding family ties. My in-laws also don't like my son to be close to my parents. So when we visit my parents and my son stays overnight there, we...

(2013) Anyone here has ever encountered a childcare centre asking you to withdraw your child just be

Hi Grace, as you've mentioned, it's probably a blessing in disguise to just withdraw your son from the childcare. Since there are already negative feelings all around, it will do your son more harm to continue with this school. As for what is "normal" behavior, I have learnt it's very...

My son not close to me

If you are the main caregiver, then it's a bit unusual that your son would prefer someone else. But if you are a full time working mum and not the main caregiver, then it's not that uncommon. My son was also the same when he was small, between 2 full time working parents, he would prefer the...

    Motherhood Life - sucks..

Agree with luvagape that you'll continue wishing for a higher age. When my kid was 3 years old, my colleague said things will get better when they reach 10 yrs old. I held on to that hope. Well, 10 years old has come and gone and I don't think things have gotten that much better. It's just a...

    Recurrence UTI + Urine Reflex

Yes, she's ok now. The specialist said there's no harm about overdosing on cranberry and probiotics as these are not medicine. For maintenance, I still give her probiotics every day but at normal dosage.

    Recurrence UTI + Urine Reflex

Genbaby, my gal saw a specialist and went for ultrasound scan. I think cranberry juice is not sufficient cos must drink a lot to have effect. That's why I did not bother with juice at all, I gave her cranberry pills cos stronger. Even for probiotics, I double the dosage.

    Recurrence UTI + Urine Reflex

Have you tried cranberry and probiotics? My gal had episodes of UTI 2 yrs ago (but not urine reflex) and taking cranberry extracts and probiotics helped to clear the infection on top of the doctor's medicine.

Want kids but afraid of commitments

I agree with meowie323. People always paint a rosy picture to you, telling you not to worry and that you are thinking too much. After I had my first child and was complaining to my friend how difficult it was, she told me she didn't dare tell me about the difficulties as she didn't think I...

    Moping Floor Everyday

Just want to ask mummies here - do you mop the floor every day? My neighbour just dropped by and said I should mop the floor every day. She said she mops her floor every day. Her children are all grown-up and working and she is usually alone at home. I'm a stay home mum with 2 kids and no...

Do you let your P1 kids go for tuition before staring P1?

I think it depends alot on the personality of the child & the standard of the school. For e.g my gal loves reading & she has never attended any phonics class or Eng enrichment class. I don't need to supervise her very much also. She only attends Berries Chinese enrichment class as I...

Advice needed - Newborn just want to be cuddle and sleep very little

Did you establish a routine with your newborn? There should be patterns for baby's sleeping, feeding and playing times. Babies do better with an established routine and you will feel less tired when both you and your baby knows what to expect next. Some books you can read e.g Gina ford's...

    Irresponsible OVERSEAS Spree Organiser!

Just don't understand some of these spree organisers. If they are so so busy that they can't send out promptly, why do they want to bother to organise sprees in the first place?? You got to make sure you are free enough before starting a spree and seeing it thru. They are just making trouble...

I just got access too and I have not written at all to Bee Lee. I agree with Leng Leng. How is it going to speed up the process by giving more work to Bee Lee? It looks like the access is done in batches at different intervals, e.g. a big batch of user ids every few months or so. So the only...
